The OP found large doglike tracks around the den and as far as I know assumes that they were made by coyotes.. No other physical evidence was related, as far as I know... I am going to bed now....Don't want to get involved.....

Nice rifle Rob....You probably will have to go no farther than the 120 Nosler BTs with around 42-43 grains of RL -15... Should give you ( her) light recoil, excellent accuracy and close to 3000 fps...Not to mention excellent performance on game... The 140s should shoot well also, but the 120s kick a little less and still kill deer just as dead... -

I love 'em raw, but The Mermaid makes me sleep on the couch.. I like them all ways, use them any way you'd use scallions, steam them greens and all, put them on sandwiches, but probably the most succulent leeks I have ever eaten were some that a buddy of mine pickled a couple years ago... True redneck gourmet fare...
