  1. Not sure which is cuter, Larry... You or the "supergoose".....Hehehe...
  2. I wish someone would come up with a recipe to make mergies taste like chicken, or at least SOMETHING edible...The local rivers used to have lot s of woodies, blacks and mallards, which are all tasty ducks...The last few years all I seem to see are mergansers.. They are fun to shoot, but I don't shoot things anymore that I don't eat..My buddy shoots a couple now and then and feeds them to his beagles..They seem to think they taste pretty good..
  3. A quote from " She Wore a Yellow Ribbon " ( made by the old Cheyenne Chief) " NATHAN...We are too OLD for war....You...Me go hunt buffalo....Get DRUNK..! "
  4. Either that or a red necked grebe.....Was it drinking a Genny?
  5. Looks like a grebe of some sort...I'd have to google it to be more specific..
  6. That is WAAAY west of where I'll be hunting....Dammit.....OOPS !!
  7. Nope... Fungus Face is one of my greatest big game hunting buddies....Hunted moose, caribou, elk and mule deer with him, as well as local whitetails... You could never find a better partner in a wilderness hunting camp... We never did turkeys much, however... I heard that the ugly old bastard intends to retire this year, but I'll believe it when it happens....Hehehe...
  8. I wouldn't know about that, TF..I've always been SHY around girls....
  9. Ontario gobbler season opens Wednesdy April 25th... I'll be driving up Monday for my annual hunt...The plan as usual is to hunt April 26-30, then drive home the afternoon of the 30th so I can hunt the opener here in NY.. My longtime buddy Gator is hosting me, as always...We met on a turkey hunting forum about 20 years ago and have exchanging hunts ever since..I go up and hunt turkeys with him and he comes down and hunts turkeys and deer with me every year.. I really look forward to spending time up at Gator's bachelor pad....Hunt gobblers every day until early afternoon, then come back to the house for some lunch and a few beers...Kick back and relax and then do it all over again the next day...Life is GOOD..Hehehe... I'll check in now and then via Gator's computer and maybe even send a picture of one of those Canuck gobblers...
  10. One man's meat is another man's poison.... Do it however you want to do it as long as it is legal and ethical...Just don't be judgemental of the other guy because he does not do it the same way that you prefer to do it..
  11. I was just about to post a thread this this effect.... Good luck to all the youth hunters and their mentors....I think it is going to be a good weekend..... Looking forward to seeing some smiling young faces...
  12. Good luck, TF....LUV yer camo....Hehehe...
  13. Lake Ontario United accuratereloading.com bowsite I used to do a couple of porn sites but had to quit after my computer caught the clap...Hehehe...
  14. That's OK Jerry...At my age I couldn't keep up with her anyway....As Harry Callahan once said..." A man HAS to know his limitations "......Hehehe...
  15. DAMN !! There's nothing WORSE than a "perch poacher" except perhaps a " Bass Assassin".....
  16. I need to tell her that I have room in my blind for her....<<SMILE>>....
  17. Tell that to AIREDALE, Tacks....Hehehe... No offense, but I think your fish cop buddy is FOS... There are LOTS of medium sized and large dogs that would make short work of any coyote... That is not saying that the 'yote might not get lucky and kill a large dog, but thatwould be the exception rather than the rule...
  18. Looks like a killer pattern to me...Just make sure you're dead on....Hehehe.....
  19. I'm one of the old timers ( in more ways than one)...I joined this site when another forum where I hung out kind of died a natural death... I visit other forums mostly to get information..This forum also has a lot of knowledgeable people and some great info, but the main reason I hang out here is to have FUN.... Can ya tell...??....
  20. Easy decision...If you want to include varmints such as woodchucks, coyotes and foxes, pick one of the bolt action WMR s... If you are more interested in small game such as rabbits and squirrels, and want a quality American made rifle, pick the henry...
  21. Can't help with snow tactics....That ain't spring gobbler hunting.. Hopefully, by the opener there will be some reasonable spring weather and you can hunt birds as you normally do.. I hope so, because I am hunting Ontario next week for the opener , April 25th to the 30th....
  22. Short answer...I hope not...Anywhere those damn things exist, everyone wishes they were GONE !!
  23. Ned Flanders ??? I think it's the first time I've been called one of them....Does it mean " creepy old fat dude who smells like Old Spice "....??
  24. Congratulations to Emma !! Thanks for sharing, Bugsy....<<smile>>....
  25. chefhunter 68 posted concerning a possible coyote den on his property... Considerable nastiness and name calling followed... Where ya BEEN, Girlfriend ? I've missed you...
