I agree, Moog...Tough to see those "coon condoms".... Trivia for today...Raccoons are among the animals who have a real BONE for a penis, rather than just erectile tissue...... Bears and cattle do too..... I have a "coon trigger" on my memory shelf that I found in my Dad's machinist toolbox after I inherited it... I thought that a tool box was a fitting place for a pecker bone....Hehehe....

I talked to a friend today, one of the best turkeys hunters I know ( Moog was in his trophy room Saturday).... He has heard a few roost gobbles and then ZERO after they fly down....His opinion,, HENNED UP.....

I kept notes of birds heard, worked, killed by myself and a number of my hunting buddies over a period of many years... The period of time between May 8th and 16th stands out with many kills over the years...Most of the experienced gobbler hunters that I know , if they were to take a week's vacation to hunt, would take it around the middle of the month... This year, with everything being late due to the LOONG winter, late season may be hot... Just a conjecture,...Good luck and don't give up....

Nope.....The last time I romanced in a vehicle was with my ex wife, and that prior to our wedding, which was Sept 4, 1971.... LONG before the Toyota which was MFG in 1999.... I swear on my Mother's grave that I never got so much as a HJ in that Toyota....Hehehe..

I took the morning off today to recharge my batteries...Been in the woods before daylight every day since April 24th....Slept in until 700 AM !! As I told Moogie, on a per hour or per day basis I am probably the world's worst turkey hunter...I just wear them down with perstistence, or perhaps it's stubbornness...

There is something bizarre going on....You haven't noticed any bright lights or eeery music at night, or seen any saucer shaped aircraft, have you ?? Vampire Chipmunks from MARS !!......NANU NANU.... The Mermaid just shed a few tears seeing her baby again... I'll never forget the first trip we took together in it ..34-35 MPG... I was used to getting 15 MPG in my Ford Ranger...

I'm on my way over to The Acorn Mart to wait for Moog and have a cup of the swill they sell for coffee... I already made sure I have some extra TP in my vest....

Don't worry, Moog, I'll supply the shells, too..Just don't ask what shot size they are because they have been carried around in my vest and loaded and unloaded so many times all the markings are worn off...I'm pretty sure they are either 4s or 6s....Hehehe...
