So what's the problem..... Somebody hunts differently than you do ??

The bullet starts dropping the instant it leaves the barrel...It's the effect of gravity.. Due to the fact that the rifle barrel is angled UP, the bullet crosses the line of sight (which is a straight line) twice...Once on the way up, once on the way down..

Are they the same weight ? Bullet weight usually makes more difference than bullet form , such as round nose verses spitzer or pointed.. As an example, a certain rifle may group 180 grain bullets very well, but spray 150 grain bullets all over the target..

I have done it with moose and caribou from Alaska, and have done it frequently with venison either from necessity or convenience..Never had any problems... Much of the pork sausage you buy in the store has been prefrozen to eliminate danger from trichinosis and thawed before sale..

So true....There is a steady stream of customers going in and out of the Acorn Mart across the street... Only one bar left in town...They'll be busy tonite, along with the juice bar up the road.....<<grin>>....

My house is right on Rt 417 in Steuben County and the road is busy today.. Seems like every other vehicle is a 4WD towing a trailer full of coolers and ATVs... Gotta love opening weekend...This is the most excitement my little town sees all year... Good luck to you all and be CAREFUL out there..!

Yeah, that's what the elk thought just before he died... It's made by an outfit called Noexcuses in Utah...Very accurate, load easy and shoot surprisingly flat for such a heavy bullet..

I burn 80 grains by volume of loose 777 3F behind a 50 cal. 460 grain conical.... I tried 2f first, but since use #11 percussion caps my ignition seemed a bit slow... Works great in my old TC Hawken... 2 inches high at 50 and dead on at 100.. it's a devastating bullet on deer and also worked well on a 6x6 bull elk..

It's pretty much like that around here, too... Except for ME of course...I never, ever do anything illegal.... Except that ONE time I tore the " Do Not Remove" tag off the mattress... OHHHHHH !! The guilt and REMORSE that I suffered...!!... I said 20 "Hail Marys" and 20 " Our Fathers", and I'm not even CATHOLIC... -
The .300 mags fill a very useful niche..They perform very well at long range for people who shoot them well.. As por MOI, I want no part of them... They kick too hard for me to enjoy them... I shot 12-14 rounds off the bench through my 9.3 x 62 the other day with 270 grain bullets.. Recoil was stout but not obnoxious...Any .300 mag I ever shot kicked the snot out of me...I just don't like 'em..

I've tried the Viagra....The pill got stuck in my throat and I had a STIFF NECK for 2 days.... Maybe the .300 RUM will work better.... Does RUM stand for Rub Up Me ???
