  1. If you want to open up some space in your tub of kitchen gadgets, you can mail that Cutco Knife to me....Call for my mailing address My phone number is BR-549...… Hugs and kisses...Junior...
  2. Send Stormy up there to get sights on his 4 pound single shot takedown that he shoots 3" magnum slugs through.. Hehehe...
  3. You guys give me too much credit...I'm just an old farm boy from Dogpatch, NY...… Actually, I probably would never watched South Park, but my daughter, who has a Bachelor's in elementary ED and a Master's in Library Science, turned me on to it... She's a good girl....I have always said that she got her brains and good looks from her mother and her sense of humor from me....Good combo....
  4. Geeze, if my Muckboots came up another six inches they'd squeeze my nutz…. I have a pair of Woody Max that I have worn about 4 years and they are still sound...I have worn them for everything from spring gobbler to ice fishing and my feet stay warm and dry...
  5. That's a line from South Park...."Sexual Harassment Panda" was conducting a SH class for the South Park kids..."
  6. When one little panda sticks his furry little winkie into another little panda's ear, THAT's sexual harassment, and that makes me a SAAAAD Panda !
  7. I wish you hadn't posted that, Larry...The Mermaid didn't know I was in Rochester that weekend, until now....<<sigh>>….
  8. Another example of why I am glad I am getting old and will not have to put up with such cheap liberal ass BS much longer.... And besides that, I think all lawyers should be horsewhipped, and then drawn and quartered, except for my good friend Moog, of course...
  9. Most gunsmiths would look at that POS and say...." Save your money and buy a quality gun ".... There is a very old saying...." You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear ".....
  10. I was driving just east of town today past a spot where turkeys often feed on the river flats.... There was a flock of perhaps two dozen birds about a hundred yards from the road, and right in the middle of the group stood two gobblers in full strut... I have often heard them gobbling during deer season, but this is the first time I have ever them strut in November....Horny devils just can't wait until spring, I guess...Reminds me of myself when I was younger......Hehehe...……..
  11. Al, my Friend....I swear you don,t look older than 70 1/2...…<<GRIN>>...
  12. If he does he'll never shoot another deer...That is a buck of 1000 lifetimes, unless you grow them on a farm …..
  13. The densest population of timber rattlers in NY is within ten miles of where I live, and I have never heard of anyone seeing a rattler in November...They are denned up by then....As a matter of fact, I don't recall ever hearing of one seen in October...
  14. The Nosler BT is an excellent game bullet, Dave...They got a bad rap because some of the early productions had jackets on the light side, and were too explosive...Nosler promptly fixed it by beefing up the jacket....I used NBTs in my .280 and 7mm08 to take 8 or 9 caribou, a couple of mulies and pronghorns and perhaps 2 dozen whitetails, and they worked great... They were my go to bullet until I started using the barnes X bullets....
  15. Since smokeless powder drastically increased muzzle velocities in the late 1800 s, jacketed bullets have steadily improved... Now, it is tough to find a BAD bullet for deer hunting, unless you intentionally use a bullet designed for something else, like a varmint bullet or a FMJ... Monolithics, bonded bullets and other specialty bullets are really not necessary for most deer hunting applications...One notable exception might be the guys like 7600, who track or stalk deer in the boonies and often are shooting at the south end of a rapidly departing northbound buck... The last few years I have been using barnes X type bullets.. I use them because they are very accurate in my rifles, they expand well as long as I push them on the fast side, and they ALWAYS leave an exit wound, in case I need to do a little tracking in the thick stuff.... I use the 120 TSX loaded to about 3000 fps in my 7mm08, the 140 TSX loaded to about 3000 fps in my .280 Rem, and the 250 TSX loaded to about 2600 in my 9.3 x 62....
  16. I'd stay away from the shoulder with that bullet ( or any varmint bullet)…..Hit 'em in the slats and you'll be fine...
  17. Centerpunch the ribcage and deflate the lungs with ANY reasonable projectile and the deer is going to run as fast as it can for 4 to 5 seconds and then fold up....It may go 20 yards and it may go 100 yards, but not much farther than that.. Deer that drop in their tracks are usually hit IN or very NEAR to the CNS ( spine or brain) or broken down by disabling both shoulders... Energy does not kill deer...Disrupting vital organs or the CNS does it, whether you are shooting a .243 or a .375 H&H...
  18. Just before The Mermaid snapped the picture, I let what I THOUGHT was just a fart...
  19. He's a TANK, Dave...REAL pretty cape, too.. I love the brown skullcap...Congrats, My Friend !!
  20. I get the guts out of them ASAP...Then if I have another tag I may just let the deer lay and get back in my stand..
  21. I haven't heard of any bears taken....
