  1. I guess it must like the area, still hanging around.
  2. http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/28572-licenses-on-sale/ I called the other day and they said If you do not receive it by Sept. 01 2015 give us a call.
  3. Pop up blind for me from now on , just too old to climb a tree , I just gave 2 good climbers away. My new one is a plenty big 8' + x8' + x 7' tall No problem drawing a bow or aiming a rifle , Had deer walk up to it 15' away last year eating for quite some time. Never Spooked.
  4. Some one I know gave the serial numbers to the police and guess what 1 of two guns was recovered out of state, took some time but got it back.
  5. Don't laugh a lot of people do this , Shoot from a outside deck on the second floor of there house , Get on the roof of there shed , house or garage and shoot from there , you will see if you are comfortable with the height and will see how your shot placement is before buying any thing. You will actually see a greater distance from up in a tree then on the ground most of the time.

No DMP this year , did get a preference point , Received the bow/mzz anterless + bow/mzz either sex. That's enough meat for me.

    Arrows

Arrow Dynamics Traditional ( also tapered.) with 125 grain 2 blade + 2 bleeders. They leave a nice blood trail.
  8. Took it off of the raised platform I built last rear for my that is going to be my raised blind. And moved it to a spot most of the deer were coming from last year . Was not in bad shape for being up there all winter with about 15 gallons of ice on the top where 1 rod broke. My2'X2" support that I had inside moved some how and fell down. Still not bad only 1 broken rod and 1 hole the size of a dime. All fixed and up in the new spot. The sun was beating threw the tree tops today. Crapy cell phone picture.
  9. I am wondering if they mail out the tags by WMU , Last name as A to Z and closer to A first. or first applied for, first mailed out ?. I did mine online the first day and have not received anything as of Sat.
  10. I am willing to bet that 95% of the hunters and anti hunters have never see the inside of a coyote den.I have seen a few , One is a sight I will never forget , in the area I live there are some pretty steep hills with many large rocky areas and thick growth. One day we stumbled in to an old bears den. big enough to walk into which we did , after seeing coyote's heading to that spot. In side we found body parts , some still with flesh on them and whole fawn deer caucuses and not just 1 or 2 but a pile of them. The area outside had scat with all sorts of hair mixed in . This was before hunting season and the weather was not that bad. I think they kill a good part of the time just to kill not to kill for survival and this is why I despise them.
  11. You gotta do what you goota do to fill the freezer. I know a few people that will shoot anything just to get meat. Not me I do not need the meat that bad. Sounds like you have a good hunting spot enjoy it.
  12. Got it to work with Adobe.Reader. This is the first time at this time of the year I have seen them on my property , usually see them during deer hunting season in the past. This is the first year in the past 12 , that rabbits starting coming on the property ( the Red Fox population is down from past years ) and the first year the Woodchucks had young on the property , also a good number of Fawns this year all singles no twins or triplets .Every thing they like to eat.
  13. Link does not work , comes out html. Lawdwaz yes a custom , Remy, short action blueprinted with Sako extractor , Hart bbl. glass beaded dull black finish , H&S stock blk. Actoin , pillar bedded , bbl. glass bedded and floated . With a good scope. Now shooting 65 grain a max.
  14. I take mine right up to where I am going to post . Last year In my blind with the ATV right out side I had deer walking 15 feet from the blind and not spooked at all. I have driven right past them , they would get up look and go and bed down where they were. It depends where you hunt, I only hunt my property and am on the ATV almost every day also there are a good amount of farm land around me with tractors riding around every day.
  15. I have been getting pictures of this every day. These are 2 different cams 600 yds. apart. Both pictures within 20 minutes. The second one is right behind the house heading to it.
  16. Had a spike eating in the back yard this morning for about 1/2 hour , grew a bit longer but sill in velvet.
  17. Try shooting it using the iron sights 25 yards would be good enough . Are you shooting using any type of rest as sand bags, if you are do not rest the bbl. on any type of rest.
  18. I thought they claim ammo does not go bad. Where and how was it stored. But they claim anything inside of 6" will drop a deer. Just busting Them.
  19. This one has been hanging around for some time now , but it decided to move at or near night lately.
  20. On my way shopping today I saw Quite a few poults, two good size groups two different towns near me.
  21. It is not a bolt action rifle where the action is screwed and held in the stock. Did you replace or add anything to the rifle, as slings, or change the forend grip ?. Are you shooting the same ammo as shot in the past. And yes try a different scope. Have you tried shooting it with the Iron Sights.( I would try this first ) .25 yards or 50 yards.
  22. Planted clover on a sloping part of the yard that is hard to cut with the mower years ago filled in nice It is flowering now and the animals hit it almost every day. Looked out the window and 1 of the young woodchucks just walked up and started chewing on it.
  23. I do not think it is if they tell you how to do this. http://www.dec.ny.gov/animals/7205.html
