    hhmmmm....

I had 2 sisters and there mom eating around the hose from 5am to 9am this morning and I kept on looking at the 2 sisters ,No spots and there summer coat on just like there mom's .I would have sworn they were born a 2 to 3 months ago.
  2. X2 on the above. Around my property there are one third the amount of deer that there were 3 - 4 years ago. Last years deer take per Sq. mile was the the same as the amount of deer that I have seen in the last 2 years.( and I am out and about every day ) in my area. They should cut back on the amount of DMP 's by me.

Getting back into fishing and need a new pair of Hip Boots , Not he ones that need shoes ,Mainly for crossing small streams as low as they are now.Do not need waders have 2 good pairs of them. Might take a ride ti Dicks the have a good selection on there website.
  5. SOB how long would it take you to get to rt. 30 / 28 intersect ?. Small mouth there, + Big Pond area also.
  6. 157,000 miles was the timing belt/ chain ever changed ?.
  7. Benchmade , they are sharper to start with and hold an longer SOG in the tool box Benchmade in my pocket every day.. And I am pretty sure they have a deal to send them back to re sharpen them.
  8. Many things to consider, first Twist rate of the bbl. most factory bbl.'s are used to shoot a number of different weight factory loaded ammo. Bullet shape and length also come into play , a long tapered bullet might not shoot as well as a almost flat bottomed bullet in some barrels, as how you can seat the bullet , distance from lands and seating depth, amt. of and the type of powder. The barrel I am considering is not a factory replacement it is an aftermarket bbl. It has the perfect twist for a 140 grain bullet , bullet shape I will find out , and the load for that will have to be worked up.
  9. I have been doing a lot of reading about the 7mm-08 and the 140 BT seems to be a round favored by many.Guess I will start gathering up dies ect. for that round.
  10. Like I said a few time already , The last frost by us is not until the beginning of June. I don't even bother putting any above the ground crops until then. My pepper plants sitting on the window sills have little peppers on them already. And the tomato plants are over 2' high . Good thing I put them in 6" flower pots. Cukes are doing good also.
  11. I am thinking about rebarreling my blueprinted pillow bedded in a H&S stock , M700 short action to a 7mm.-08 . Just happen to know some one that has a nice Pac Nor SS 22" barrel in stock ready to go in a M700 action ,with the right taper, just would need the head space set. . Also the right twist rate for a 140 Gr. load. Handled a few other brands over the weekend but just like how smooth my 700 feeds and the crisp Timmy trigger is . That will make a third barrel for this action, no big deal as I have the action wrench and barrel vise already bolted to the work bench ,
  12. Here is my thought on this.If they want to reduce the amount of Does in some areas , why penalize the bow hunters and there are many that just bow hunt. They should just open up the early Youth Hunting season 2 weeks ahead of what they now have and make that a Doe only. It will teach the young hunters not to just take a shot at anything that they can do now . I am sure there are many that would love a chance to get out there early in nice weather. Then give them a chance to take what they want in there regular youth hunt season.
  13. I do not agree with what they want to do But How many hunters hunt the first 15 days to start with ?.
  14. Yep, I did some this fall , not for a bedding area but to give the deer more of a food source. this past winter and they were hitting them when ever they were around. I did this to trees I intended cutting up for fire wood this spring and opening up some areas.
  15. Make a note and attach to the trail cam with info how the new owner can contact you. Might just work .
  16. AS long as the frost we will get tonight and what we had last night did not do any damage. Time will tell.
  17. Old window sash weights work also.
  18. I use the spray also but as said above after it rains you have to reapply. Home remedy = Oil, vegi. or canola , an egg , cyan pepper ( the more the better ) garlic powder, red pepper that you put on pizza., regular pepper mix them together and dribble or use a squirt bottle to apply. Then watch them run for water.
  19. I had one gobbling from 5:30 to 6: 00 this morning driving my dog nuts in the house.
  20. In who's eyes are you old ? . Yours or there's You truly older then them , But to Us ?.
  21. That is why I do not put my plants in the ground until the 1 st. week of June.
  22. Makes good fertilizer thou. . I can tell you in this weather you cannot go wrong digging a little watering hole in the middle of the woods. As yesterday I wrote this in another post. I kicked up Mom and her 3 young from last year that were bedded near where I was working. They got up and walked about 75 yds. Into a little hole I dug with my bucket loader last summer , Just 6' wide x 8' long x 1-1/2' deep that is wet weather spring fed. They were in there 5 min. or more drinking and cooling off before they got out and went looking for food to eat. Last year I had turkeys, fox, birds and other animals around or in it also.
  23. I am not sure if the insurance companies figure there rates the way it was , AS , If you work down or out of state all of the week as NYC or Paterson, NJ, and you have your car, truck ,bike or whatever means of transportation with you down there but ( it is reristered at your home which is up state ) and you get into an accident down there. Your and everyone else where your means of transportation is registered gets hit with a price increase. It could have changed but this is how it was.
