  1. With a bow in some parts of the state. May be a rookie question but ive seen some guys on here with two bucks with a bow this year. I wont name names.
  2. I do the exact same thing. Definitely not an easy task, so my hat is off to you.
  3. what's wrong with his belly button
  4. haha id say yea you're in trouble with this one.
  5. Nah talking about the bearded clam, or the vertical smile... fur burger?
  6. X2 when I used to have one... not noisey what so ever.
  7. It's a lot easier to get whatever you want in this muff as well. You can just go ahead and dive right in there. Don't have to sit their and tell it how beautiful it is, and kiss it, and take things "slow."
  8. LOL you're killing me with these posts
  9. I don't like the idea of my arrow going through something (WB) before it even reaches the deer. But I do agree on the fact that they work great, just my personal preference is all.
  10. the hand warmer thing works excellent. You can get them cheaper than that to. I swear by them in cold temperatures, mainly because I hate wearing gloves.
  11. Dang that one is a stud and a cow. I wont say which one because im sure you know exactly which one im talking about
  12. I was pumped up for this morning, it was great seeing all that frost. Then went out and all I saw was a dinky little buck...
  13. If you shoot him, poke that section with a knife. Then grab an empty mayonnaise jar and fill it on upppp! Its quite tasty.
  14. I have seen a few 3 1/2s this year and they don't have their big broad necks yet. They are starting to swell, but not quite there. I know some people were going by the neck as a detail, but you really cant yet. So I would throw that out the window by looking at that. Going strictly by his body size; however, I would say you got a 3 1/2 there.
  15. Most trail cam pics are not day time pics?
  16. Funny story on that actually. A few of our tree stands are in woods that we have dual permission to hunt with other guys not part of our hunting party. One of the stands, we usually take out the first 2 screw ins because its in a good spot and we don't want any of the other guys sitting it. I took one of my buddies into the woods one day to hunt, and pointed out which way to head to sit in one of the stands. After hunting, were sitting around drinking a beer, and he says "man I don't know how the h3ll you guys get to that first step in that tree stand." I was like "what are you talking about man?" He says "Its like their was two steps missing out of the tree stand, so I shimmied my way up to get to the first step." As soon as he said that I spit up my beer and started dieing laughing.. He went to the wrong tree stand . Taking out the first few steps may not work for some people, hahaaha.
  17. Deer Season.pdf I started keeping statistics this year of the sightings seen withing our hunting party. Notice the steady trend of seeing 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 year old bucks. And now in the past 5 days, absolutely zero. Guess this kind of goes with my October lull post. The pdf is attached.
  18. heck yea man. Love cold weather. Just gets them bucks all firrrreeeeeddddd up
  19. It was a big guy lol. I just wanted to make that clear because that has a lot to do with the possible answer to this. I mean yea if it was a 1 1/2 - no doubt it was cat & mouse chasing. But this was a mature buck we are talking about.
  20. I recently posted about not seeing much lately which is true. But the last buck I did see was this past Saturday. It was a buck chasing a doe, and no small buck at that matter. It looked to be at least a 3 1/2 year old deer (had a big rack on it). Trust me it had a big rack, so I don't want you guys to get hung up on this fact. Now normally I would say cat & mouse chase for this time of year. However, why would a buck of that caliber make himself vulnerable if that doe isn't in fact coming into heat. Any clues?
  21. Ive got 3 hooked up to arrows right now. I will let you know how they work... hopefully lol
  22. thanks for the insight Geno. I always like to learn a thing or two
  23. I have also heard this from another experienced hunter Geno. But you gotta think, is there possibly a thick area that only a Mature buck can keep to himself and keep all does out so he is content? I mean there are some beautiful blowdown thickets that I've killed some big bucks coming out of during the rut. Obviously does bed in their quite a bit. But you believe that these mature bucks go somewhere else where they are alone. Im not doubting you, I just want to know what types of spots I should be looking for that mature bucks call home away from the does.
  24. boy you aint kidding lol. Congrats to these kids no doubt. But could you imagine sitting on a field edge watching a big buck with a bow out there a few hundred yards. Then BANG he falls over dead. I might have mixed feelings. But still no doubt to see these kids getting geared up for hunting.
