Here's a good question. A youngster 12-14 cannot hunt deer yet with a firearm, but are they allowed to apply for a DMP? Does anyone know the answer or have experience with this? Nothing in the regulations says that they can't, and since big game and small game licenses are no longer separate licenses, I would think it would be possible. Unless there is something built in to the licensing computer system to intercept those that are under age?

Our Goverment Is Working Hard For Us
steve863 replied to Steve D's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
You beat me to it, those were my thoughts exactly. Cuomo even lit up the Empire State Building in pink to celebrate women's "reproductive rights". Unbelievable how mentally screwed up these people are. -

They are trying to bring down everything that used to be deemed moral, honorable and traditional. If you are white, straight, christian and have a strong work ethic you don't fit into what they are pushing. Their message has never been clearer. It's all about the poor blacks, undocumented immigrants, LGBT, women and their right to abortions (even at 9 months), criminals, etc. It's quite sickening to watch. Absolutely everything the liberal media says and does puts this second group on a pedestal while they take every opportunity to show the first group in a bad light every chance they get. Yeah, I know FOX news can be ridiculous, too. If they would just take the high road and not use the same tactics as the left is using they would have way more credibility. Unfortunately, these days it's all about brainwashing the masses. Between TV, internet, social media no one can think for themselves anymore.

So, if I drive without it I start the car only once to get to a destination. If I drive with this feature on the car may stop and start 10 times if there are 10 lights I have to stop at. What does this do to batteries, alternators, starters and such? I can't imagine all this stopping and starting will be good for these parts? I am no car expert, but maybe someone who is can tell us? This may just be another way to give car mechanics some more business. Plus, most people discover that they have a dead battery when they attempt to start the car and with the car sitting in a parking spot. What happens when the engine gets turned off at a red light and then can't start back up due to a dead battery?? You'll just have a big traffic jam on your hands with the stalled car that you probably wouldn't have had with a normal operating car.

OK, so now I know why I've been hearing a lot of new vehicles starting up when the light turns green. I was thinking their engines had stalled and they had to restart them. This stuff is getting crazy. Don't quite understand what sense a feature like that makes, but whatever. We already have some vehicles driving themselves. I think I'll get a truck when that becomes a standard feature. I'll just install a shaggy carpet like Moog has in the bed and go sleep on it and wake up when the truck reaches my destination. Hopefully it can have some coffee and donuts waiting for me, too. LOL

Yeah, there's only one Dick from Dicksville! LOL

Not thread related, but it's interesting how we now have a Belo replying to another Belo. Didn't know two people could use the same name at the same time here.

I tell you what, that picture sure spoiled my morning! That got me as excited as seeing some bubba sprawled out in the sand in a swimsuit. The horror!!

Yeah, they caught a few over the legal limit that day and Pygmy decided to eat the evidence when he saw the DEC officer approaching.

That's an interesting point, actually. I bet that in Europe and South America, where people go plumb nuts over men's soccer, there is probably nowhere near the interest in women's soccer like we are seeing here in the US right now. Only reason there is any interest here is that the American women are somehow the best compared to everyone else. And if American women are the best, the others are probably not too great to begin with. I bet women's soccer throughout the rest of the world will now be even less popular since the American's have been dominating. The American women may very well be shooting themselves in the foot by being the best. They could kiss their equal pay goodbye if the popularity of the sport starts to diminish throughout the rest of the world

No, only a democrat socialist who believes in paying people for doing nothing would use clippers like those. LOL
-
That's the beauty of this forum, actually. Someone could start a thread asking for a recommendation on the best toenail clippers and then it might turn into a 65 page pissing match that goes 30 different directions. LOL

Agree 100%. That's why a tool like a Leatherman or a Swiss Army is great to have and probably more valuable than the Bowie knife some want to lug along. I've got a Leatherman with a file and works great as a striker.

This is crazy. I don't care if I'd never kill a deer but I won't be dangling from a tree like that. Reminds me of the 60's Batman TV series. Batman and Robin climbed like that. LOL

I've come to my senses over the years and now waste very little of my time watching team sports of any kind. To me soccer is by far the worst and most boring. I guess there will still be a few parades and such for them but I for one am glad this women's world cup is over and done with and I no longer have to hear about it in the news or see that stupid pink haired lesbian being praised like she is some sort of gift to humanity.

Chestnut is unreal. He literally inhales those dogs.

I would add a vacuum packed small candle stick to your fire starting material. All you need to do is get it lit and you won't need to waste anymore matches or the fluid in the lighters. You'll have a flame going for a good while, way better than the vaseline soaked cotton balls. My .02 cents.

Worried about my daughter making the team....
steve863 replied to ApexerER's topic in General Chit Chat
You don't know how happy I am that my kids are not interested in playing team sports. I see other parents run ragged with this stuff and like you I've often wondered for what? I've even seen parents way more upset than the kids when the team loses or the child performs poorly. That right there tells me more than I need to know. To each their own, however. -
I'm surprised that so few have commented on this here. I spent about an hour last night reading the many comments under Hickok45's Youtube video and couldn't believe all the negative comments towards the NRA from his viewers. Many comments were even from life members who are totally giving up on the NRA. I was floored to say the least. For as long as I can remember we've been told that the NRA was THE organization to defend the 2nd amendment and now I am reading and hearing about all the people who seem to have given up on them. What the hell happened?? Like I stated earlier I am not up to speed on all the ongoings, but I would surely think that anti-gunners are loving all this right now. I am really starting to wonder how this will all pan out for gun owners and gun rights? I can't imagine it will be for the better. A number of comments below Hickok's video quoted the phrase "Divide and Conquer", and it sure seems like this might be happening here. I am absolutely dumbfounded to be seeing all this to say the least!!
-
Looks like people like Cuomo will soon be able to officially proclaim victory over the NRA if even gun owners are turning away from the NRA. Haven't really followed the goings on of this mess, but I surely never thought I'd be seeing something like this since the NRA was always held in such high esteem by the most ardent 2nd amendment supporters.

MIG and TIG Pipe Welder wanted in Rochester, NY
steve863 replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in NY Area Job Board
A desk job could be hazardous to ones health if you aren't careful, but I've definitely seen plenty of guys whose bodies were shot at a relatively young age from doing manual type labor. Not easy to keep doing that type of stuff day in and day out into your 50's and 60's. -
Wow, that's got to be the greatest invention since Ron Popeil's pocket fisherman! LOL
-
I've seen that gun advertised for $400-$450. Do you really think it would be worth taking to small claims court? I can understand trying to make a point with this gun club, but sometimes things are just not worth the hassle. You will end up aggravating yourself more than anyone else.
-
I don't know. Yeah, I'd be pissed about this, but I don't think it's worth the time, money and energy to take this any further. The prize gun was a Ruger American which isn't a $5,000 gun. Will cost you less to just go out and buy the gun yourself, then getting a lawyer involved here would.
