Hey, what can I say? Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. Look at what the other poor dude on the other thread had to do to get access to some private land.
-
Biz, just don't judge her like you judge Judge! LOL
-
Well, most everyone here is in trouble with her, so I figured it's time for me to take my licks! LOL ...steve863 slowly walking back behind the barn to take his punishment....
-
With my luck I'd invite Miranda and Growie might show up.......
-
And you would have no trouble finding a place to hunt if you were looking for a place.
-
A person can go a LONG way with good looks in life, so I am putting my money on her. If that is a picture of you in your avatar, I surely wouldn't be giving you any venison. I wouldn't even be stepping into the woods if I were you. Hell, some hunter might mistake you for a coyote and shoot you!!
-
All I know is that I'm happy that I don't bowhunt anymore. Bows, arrows, broad heads, all this stuff is way overpriced in my opinion. And so much of it will need fixing and replacing. Buy a decent rifle and scope, and $20-40 on ammo per year and you will be set for a lifetime.

Be careful with the Death Wish coffee. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2017/09/22/death-wish-coffee-recalled-because-can-literally-kill-you/692417001/

I think we need to find out where Biz goes golfing and all of us show up wearing cargo shorts and Aaron Judge jerseys.
-
Of course they'd be put under the non-typical category! LOL
-
Well, my feet are a bit f----d up, so I wouldn't be caught dead in any sandals!
-
Actually for their latest model year, both the Forester and Outback have the same clearance. 8.7 inches.
-
Definitely would be interesting having Pygmy as a son-in-law. What would totally freak me out would be having a son-in-law who is older than me. Hell, my son-in-law should be coming to my funeral, not me going to his!! LOL

I wash pants and shirt with regular detergent as needed during the season, but wash the coat after the season is over. I also leave it hanging in the garage with all the exhaust and everything during the season. This is all I've ever done. The scent blocker spray companies would surely go out of business if all hunters were like me.

No, I don't look anything like Rosie O'Donell or Billie Jean King, so I don't think anyone will mistake me for a lesbian.
-
Well, I got exclusive permission to hunt 2500 acres from a farmer who has 3 lesbian daughters. It made quite an impression on them when I pulled up with my Subaru, so I could live with the humiliation of driving a lesbian car! LOL Beats whacking off the farmers dog, that's for damned sure!!
-
He told he was only 5'7" back then. He had a big growth spurt at age 45.
-
I can't imagine the rubber smells any worse than some feet that are put into those boots! LOL
-
Get the Subaru, you won't regret it. Will be the most reliable vehicle you'll ever own.

Had a 1999 Outback until this past Spring. If the Ford, Chevy and Dodge truck owners knew how little I spent on repairs they wouldn't believe me since their trucks breakdown more often then I change my socks. Other then a couple sets of tires, a couple of brake jobs, I spent virtually nothing on it in the 18 years I owned it. Bought another Subaru to replace it.

New hunting cabin beds
steve863 replied to bugsNbows's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Be it at a hunting camp or anywhere else, the key is to not leave openings where these pests can get in. People wonder how they get in and if you look under sinks and in basements where pipes come into the house, they have huge openings around these pipes. Fill these openings with expanding foam or something else and the chances that these critters will come in will be greatly diminished. Also under the door. Put a metal strip or something that leaves only millimeters of an opening where they won't be able to get in. In general these critters come in when it's easy for them to get in. If you make it hard, they will stay out and look for easier places. -
I'm glad you have nothing else to do other than hunt. Most of us don't have that luxury.
-
I never thought I'd stoop so low, but If all it would take is jerking off the dog, I think it would beat doing farm work in a hot truck without A/C after doing a 12 hour shift. And how many days of this work do you put in? Some of us are slaves to our real jobs, wives, family, etc., I'd be damned if I'd now become a slave to a landowner for permission to hunt. If he wants, I'd gladly whip out my wallet and give him some money, but I don't think I want to be doing farm work for days on end.
-
So because it's much harder to kill a doe with a bow, I must now buy a bow and all the gizmos which will probably cost more than a rifle and scope, become proficient with it, and then spend more time hunting if I want to kill that doe? What kind of sense does that make? If you want to hunt with a bow exclusively I could care less, but don't tell anyone else that they need to get into bowhunting in order to kill that doe. That sounds more "communist" than anything anyone else has written in this thread.
-
Don't like your idea at all. Why should bowhunters be the only ones allowed to kill a doe? Why should someone now have to buy another weapon and spend all the time needed to become proficient with it? Much prefer Culver's idea where NO one gets an either sex tag initially. They should all be given out on a draw basis where everyone gets an equal crack at the draw. Then it will be up to the hunter to decide what season they want to try to fill that tag in. Very simple and FAIR solution.
