  1. First thing would be to quit my job and never work again in my life, ever. Then I'd start thinking what I could do with the money. Even 1 million or 2 would be more than enough for me. I could make it last and still have everything I need.
  2. The picture could have easily been taken during a hunt in progress. As I've said they hunt big game with dogs in many regions of Europe, so who is to say that two vehicles didn't hear and see dogs howling and chasing deer across the road and then both stopped and snapped pictures? Could very easy be the case here.
  3. If you want to see some videos of (red) deer running and jumping like mad, go to youtube and search "monteria espanola". Lots of videos of hunts in Spain where they run hounds after them. Some of the fastest action big game hunting you will ever see!!
  4. That is neither a Muley or Elk. Looks like a Red deer stag from Europe/Asia. They have them transplanted in South America and New Zealand also. And yes, I think any deer can jump like that.
  5. I think Growalot is just telling us that she had yet another accident. I think the real story is that she and Belo finally met in a back alley to square things away once and for all. She got a broken nose out of it and we are yet to hear from Belo. Who knows he may be out cold? I am putting my money on Growalot in this one!
  6. I turned 14 that summer, and in my lifetime I don't remember anyone or anything that put as much fear into New Yorkers as the SOS did. Definitely no one since. Even 9/11 as bad as that was somehow didn't have the same effect.
  7. Unlike today's performers, he had LOTS of talent!
  8. 5 rounds in the gun, 10 in the ammo pouch on my belt and many times a few more in the backpack or my coat pocket. I've made plenty of one shot kills, but how much extra weight is 10 extra rounds? Not much, and like it's been said a gun is useless without the ammo. Maybe others have more confidence in themselves, but I've learned better over the years. Those bringing only 3 or 4 rounds with them will get burned sooner or later. I just hope they shoot the same caliber as me, so if I run into them in the woods trailing a wounded deer with no ammo left, I can sell them a few rounds for $50 a piece! LOL
  9. You bet!! I'll give you all our sharp objects also, like scissors, butter knives, nail clippers, pliers, etc. Only then will I feel safe that this chat won't turn into the death of me or something even worse like castration! LOL
  10. That might be asking her a bit too much. But I'll tell her that Belo, from the Huntingny forum suggested it in the "Transgender" thread and I'll see what happens. I'll tell her that you have no problem with transgenders in the military or being in the same foxhole with them. She'll probably think you are man with a wealth of experience on the matter and maybe that will do the trick.
  11. Jeez, I had to read these couple of sentences again. I somehow didn't see the fox before the hole when I read it the first time. Glad I've now straightened out which hole you were welcoming them into!!
  12. This is supposed to be a joke, right??
  13. I should add that the way things are now I can't legally shoot any of the above!
  14. Yeah, BS talk is cheap. They also tell us to kill a doe instead of that spike or forkhorn. Maybe I would if I had a stinking doe permit!
  15. Is it just my imagination or are doe permits in most of the Catskill units becoming virtually impossible to get? Many of the units are now preference-point required, which means you will be lucky to get a permit every other year. Add to all this the antler restrictions rule and all one will be likely get while out deer hunting in that region is fresh air. To hell with that!
  16. I've only watched a season or two of the "Mountain Men" series that they had streaming on Netflix, but Eustace definitely looks like the biggest fraud on the show. For one thing he lives in South Carolina which isn't exactly an area in the middle of nowhere like Alaska or Montana can be. I bet the nearest McDonalds or Pizza Hut is no further than a few miles away for him. The same can't be said about the guys in Alaska. I did watch that episode where Eustace had to appear in court and then rode his horse into town in between all the car traffic. Give me a break!! If that wasn't staged, I don't know what else might have been! For someone who is supposed to be a great "Mountain man", he sure screws things up a lot.
  17. Better yet, if he could have borrowed a chimp and had him wrap himself around his neck he could have been cast as "Tarzan".
  18. Oh, believe me. I don't think a bow is very effective past 25 or 30 yards, but I don't want to rile up all the bow hunters here who think they could hit a fly in the eye at 50 yards.
  19. If you buy one of the better bows, plus all the rest of the contraptions you will spend close to what you'd pay for a Weatherby. All that loot, and you'll be able to kill deer out to a whopping distance of 50 yards (if you are good shot that is)! LOL That is why I'll stick to my rifle, thank you. Tried the bowhunting thing, but never became this obsession that others seem to claim. My .02 cents.
  20. It's not my life, but if one continues stunts like this it will be only a matter of time before one miscalculates something and the result may lead to some unpleasant consequences. I think dying from the accident would probably be the better outcome, since one wouldn't be a burden on anyone in comparison to surviving and being a vegetable for many years into the future. Again, it's not my life, but I hate seeing people taking dangerous chances just for the brief thrill of it.
  21. Yeah, I think Biz flashed the gay guy that's why he got discounts.
  22. The watch I wear while I hunt is a solid black Casio that I bought for $19.99 at Walmart. Tells me the time of the day (even gives me the month and date!) just as good as a Rolex would.
  23. That's because most people have been programmed since childhood to eat beef, pork, chicken, etc. Not many other than hunters are even willing to try venison. That is their loss and not mine. No matter what FSW thinks that hunting is all about "horns", I for one hunt for the venison before anything else.
  24. That there is probably the issue with the venison for you. Grilled is NOT the best way to prepare it. Put it in a pan and prepare it right and backstrap will literally melt in your mouth.
  25. Not for me. Steak is boring. Cook up some backstrap the way it should be cooked up and I'll take it over beef any day of the week. The problem is most people have never eaten well prepared venison, so they don't have much to compare to.
