  1. Well, I'm out. Biz just emailed me his idea and I told him that the only way it would sell is if we put Aaron Judge's name and pic on it as endorsement and Biz said NO F-----G WAY!!
  2. Biz, I can help you out. You can PM me your idea. How can we help you if we don't know what exactly you have in mind??
  3. Only a ticket for hunting in a no hunting zone? How stupid can someone be to actually think that there is a hunting season within NYC limits? You'd have to be pretty dumb, I tell you. Who in their right mind would ever want to hunt in a place like Staten Island even if they did open it to hunting (which will NEVER happen, I can assure you)? It would be a media circus of epic proportion. They'd have news cameras up your ass while you'd be climbing into your treestand. Anyone who would want to subject themselves to a hunt like that would be nuts, and probably would be safer locked up in jail with Bubba the sweaty inmate you'd be sharing a cell with!
  4. Nope, that ain't me. I don't smoke. However, I don't do a darned thing to eliminate any scent from my clothes. Those scent eliminating spray products would go out of business if all hunters were like me. I will admit to farting in my stand, and I will make NO apologies for it, so you can go ahead and pin the scarlet letter "S" on me for being a slob!! LOL
  5. Thanks Doc, I think that's the nicest thing you ever said to me! LOL
  6. Never heard that one before. Did you ever fart in your stand??
  7. Just for that I am writing my assemblyman and state senator in support of a bill that would allow the use of guns during the entire bow season!! And all guns during bow season will need to have the loudest available muzzle brakes installed. This way any deer that might be approaching a bowhunter will get scared off by the loud blasts of the gun hunters. How do you like them bananas??
  8. I don't think it would matter if he or his crossbow had any pink on. Either way he will definitely be someones boyfriend in the slammer.
  9. Yes, he was in possession of a crossbow. I guess he could have tried to play stupid and said that it was bow season in the rest of NYS, but he didn't realize that NYC didn't have a season. Since he was caught carrying a crossbow, I guess that excuse went right out the window for him. LOL
  10. Did he actually think he'd be able to put a deer down, drag it out, and not be seen by anyone? Staten Island may not be as populated as Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx, but it sure as hell isn't the Adirondacks neither! I've always said that New Yorkers would sooner come to the aid of a dog, cat or any animal before they would another human being. Knowing that this guy wanted to kill a deer, they'll probably want to burn him at the stake!!!
  11. http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/upstate-man-busted-staten-island-deer-hunt-article-1.3554915 Most of us from downstate go upstate to hunt. This dude made the reverse trip! Getting caught hunting in NYC will probably get him more time than if he murdered someone.
  12. I'm usually fast asleep as soon as the sun comes up in the morning. I once bolted a gamecam inside my wood blind to see if I was missing anything while I was snoring away in there. Here's a pic from two seasons ago. LOL
  13. I would not mind paying top dollar for high quality work. Hell, I've paid others a hefty amount and their work was downright pathetic. Not easy finding someone these days who actually knows what they are doing or takes any real pride in their work. Most contractors these days take on nine jobs at a time, and don't put any real attention to any of them.
  14. Man, that looks like a perfect job! I know who I want to hire for my next home renovation!!
  15. I've never hunted with a crossbow, but when I did bowhunt, I always felt carrying the compound bow that I had was the clumsiest thing I've ever had to carry while hunting. Whether it was the string, sights, arrows, quiver, something always had to get snagged on something walking in and out of the woods. Was a total pain in the ass. Can't beat carrying a rifle.
  16. Deerthug, what shotgun are you hunting with currently? If I was upgrading to something better, I surely wouldn't be looking at a Stoeger. Not to say it wouldn't get the job done, but I think I'd be looking at something a bit more expensive from a more well known maker. Just because Benelli owns Stoeger doesn't mean you will be getting a Benelli.
  17. What could be more romantic on their anniversary night than if they'd be skinning a buck together??? I sure as heck can't think of anything.
  18. No, I think it was Doc. He got pissed at everyone in the crossbow inclusion thread, so he went into the forum controls and messed something up.
  19. I think if we could get the state to put in the word "mentally" most of us here would qualify. LOL
  20. I don't think you are correct in your assessment of things here. Someone with a bit of practice can fire a semi-auto like an AR quite rapidly. I will agree with jjb's assessment that there probably would not have been much difference in the end. Whether you want to sugar coat things for the general public is a different matter, but the reality in this particular incident is that there would have probably been just as many lives lost. Hell, he had more than one AR with him, didn't he? If they were both on tripods he could have fired both at the same time. One from each shoulder. They don't have much recoil, and it's not like he really had to aim. Just point and shoot.
  21. I guess those would be the ones that have some political or social reasons to kill people. Maybe this guy didn't? Maybe he had NO real motives other than to kill as many people as he could as quickly as possible? I guess that's why he chose the venue and weapons that he did.
  22. I honestly didn't expect any answers. Don't know if they will ever know what motivated this guy. I think these days most people post all sorts of crap on social media outlets, and the authorities think they will find answers to most of their questions on there. This guy was 64 years old, probably didn't do much if any posting on the internet, kept to himself, didn't associate with many people. How will they get any real answers? He probably had all the time in the world to plan this and very easily was able to hide it from the rest of the world. By killing himself after committing the crime he forever took those answers with him.
  23. I'm sort of glad no one wants mine. You'd think we should be the one getting paid to give it, but most of the time it's us who will be doing the paying one way or another!!
  24. If his rifles grouped 15 inches at 100 yards, and if several of them jammed along the way he still would have done the same amount of damage. He had enough guns up there with him. All he had to do was aim at the general direction of the crowd and he was bound to hit people. Absolutely NO marksmanship involved in what he did. All he had to do was pull the trigger and the weapons did the rest of the work. .
