Good! Looked like a mink to me too. Would much rather have them around than a fisher!
-
Been seeing some unusual tracks around recently and suspected they were from either a mink or a fisher. They are pretty much loping through the snow, with a long space between the tracks. I got a blurry trailcam pic, but I'm not 100% sure if it's a mink or a fisher? I'm thinking it's a mink, but there's no water around, so I don't think they would be around here.

Sorry to hear. RIP Bleu, no more suffering...

Seems like a common problem! I just received my approval from the insurance company to get an MRI on my shoulder. Been suffering for the past 5 months. Got a cortisone shot Dec. 29th and that helped tame the pain down tremendously. Hope I can get an MRI in the next 1-2 weeks.

Got home from work and thought I'd go out and visit the chickadees! Tried holding seed in one hand and taking pics with my phone in the other. Got some neat pics! Pretty cool how they are so trusting!

I was in Walmart today and did a drive-by in the hunting department to see what might be on clearance. I picked up a couple Muddy Magnum Pro Series Harnesses, for $11/each! Regular price was $73! If you're in need of a harness, you might want to check your local Walmart. Online they are only marked down to $40. If you use the app, you can search local store prices as well. I see that a couple local stores have them for $11. Won't last I'm sure... Muddy Outdoors Magnum Safety Harness, Lineman's Belt, Tree Strap, Suspension Relief Strap - Walmart.com - Walmart.com

Mine too. I like watching them at the feeder. Also like cardinals for their bright red color against the snow. First time in my life having a birdfeeder and it's really neat and relaxing to watch all the different bird species coming in. I have a bird ID guide handy too!

While bowhunting in the past, I've had chickadees land on bow, bounce around on nocked arrows and even land on my hat. I've heard of people feeding them out of their hands before, but have never tried it. They usually perch very close and act curious while I fill the bird feeder, so I figured I would give it a shot to see if they would eat out of my hand. First attempt and I had 4 chickadees land on my hand and pick seed right out of my hand! Just thought it was pretty neat!

Very S-L-O-W here too. Been that way for a few days. Thought it was on my end.

Sorry Cynthia. We had to put our 18 year old dog down in October. It was tough to do, but she was suffering and we knew she wouldn't be getting any better. We couldn't let her suffer, just because we were being selfish and didn't want to let her go. It was the right thing to do... RIP Max.

Poor Max! Hoping he'll be OK.

Happy Birthday!

That's what I was thinking. Coyote mating season is upon us! They also were laying at a beaten down deer/critter trail where it crosses the road.
-
I considered that but I don't think so. There's houses 40-50 yards on each side of where they were laying along the road. If anyone dumped them off, there are much more remote/private places right around the corner. Plus, why go to the bother of lugging them out of the woods, if you're just going to toss them anyways...
-
Noticed something a bit "odd" in the snowbank along the road and had to go back for a double take! LOL What's the chances that a pair of coyotes would be hit? Those legs sticking straight up in the air are just too funny!

That is one sweet ride there! Love the looks of the Raptors! They always get my attention!

I happened to be thinking about this post and thought I would give an update. It's been over a year now that we switched 4 phones over from Verizon to Spectrum Mobile. We have not had one single issue and saved over $100/month! I wasn't sure what to expect after being a Verizon customer for 20+ years, but we're very happy we made the switch!

Man, that's a beauty!!

fruit trees to plant?
Cabin Fever replied to pappa123's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I wanted to plant 6-10 apple trees this spring as well. Been doing a lot of research into late dropping varieties. Problem I'm running into is finding any place that has them in stock. Right when I click add to cart, I get a message that they're sold out already. Been looking into late dropping persimmon trees as well. -
As a follow up, I've been using Nomad Internet for the past month without any issues. If anyone finds themselves in a similar jam, I would highly recommend looking into Nomad. No issues streaming, running Ring security system, video conferencing with Teams or WebEx, or surfing the web. Expensive, but at this point was my only option.
