  4. I can't wait for October 1st!! No where near ready, but sure looking forward to kicking off a new season!
  5. Interesting that she reacted that way to save a rabbit. She kicked that hawks ass!! LOL That rabbit needs to do her a solid now!
  6. At first look, I thought bat guano. But, I don't see any holes above that for them to be coming and going through?
  7. I can certainly relate Rob!! Dying to get a pic of one or better yet, see one!! It was on the local news earlier this week that a bear was spotted 4 miles from my house. The mayor suggested people remove their bird feeders, as not to risk attracting…… so I FILLED mine!! LOL Crossing my fingers!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. My son texted me this morning and said that his best friends father just passed from Covid. We've been friends for 20 years now. He was ~53, healthy and an avid walker, as he walked all over town for exercise. He was a guy that refused to get the vaccine, because he knew more than the doctors... I guess. Just like phade said, what you do or don't do impacts other people! This guy stubbornly refused the vaccine, but now his family has to pay the price for it, losing him at such a young age for something that easily could have been prevented! His wife and kids got the vaccine, but he knew better... I guess.? His boys are both in their mid-20's, and I'm sure they would have wanted their Dad to be around to see them get married and see his future grandkids... Understandably, they are crushed!!! I was telling a coworker about this today and he also has a friend that has Covid that isn't expected to live to the end of the week. A healthy 55 year old marathon runner, that refused to get the vaccine. To each their own, but just remember that the decision you make will impact your family and friends too.
  9. I never noticed them until last weekend! I retrieved my turkey blind and it was loaded with them! I also noticed several on the apple trees that I just planted this year! Leaves are all chewed up!
  10. Happy Birthday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I was actually thinking of putting one ~50 yards from my house on the backside of my lawn(/backyard foodplot), so that would be easy to fill with water when needed also. 50 gallons should be plenty for that spot.
  12. Same here. My most active cam gets several pics of a female nursing coyote, several times a times through out the day. Thinking that’s why I haven’t seen any fawns yet… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Very cute! Haven’t seen any here yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I’m been thinking about doing this myself. How many gallons does the tank hold? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. What beautiful bucks!! Yeah, I’m sure they spread their lovin’ around, so you’ll have some good genes in the area! WOW!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. One of the toms that I was after came into my yard the day AFTER season closed, I guess to taunt me and/or find out where I was at. (He's ~50 yards from my house!!) Well played my friend... well played!! But, there's always next year!
  17. Yeah, when I had my camp, I would mow earlier than I needed to, to avoid this. Came close a couple times, but if the weeds weren’t as high, it was easier to spot a nesting hen or fawn. Then I would practically scalp the ground, so I wouldn’t have to mow again until after nesting or fawning season. I would have been crushed if I hit a fawn... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. As I was driving past a freshly cut hay field, I saw 4 different groups of turkey vultures feeding on something in different spots in the field. I pulled over and watched the closest group pick something up as they were pecking at it. Yeah, it was a fawn! The farmer must have unknowingly run over at least 4 fawns while cutting hay, which the 4 groups of turkey vultures were feeding on! On my way back a couple hours later, there were 3 does pacing along the edge of the field. Pretty sad sight! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
