  1. Interesting. Seems like they're all still packin' in my area. Had trailcam pics of 6 bucks of all sizes and age, in the past few days.
  2. I would never stop using cams. I enjoy using them too much. Interesting to see what’s going on out there and lurking around! Cool to see what (and how many) bucks are around and possibly watching them grow from year to year too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Makes it more difficult this time of year when there's no leaves on them to look at.
  4. Any idea what kind of apples they are? I'm looking to plant a few late dropping crabapple trees this year.
  5. Brian, I am so sorry to hear of Ana's passing. Saying a prayer for your family. I can't imagine what you're going through...
  6. Thanks everyone! Appears that I'm out of Likes for the day!
  7. Funny you should say that! A couple years ago, a new neighbor stopped by to look at my truck, as he wanted the same model. It happened to be during hunting season and there was blood all over the bed of the truck and tailgate. I saw his reaction when he noticed it. I told him that I hunted and had a couple of deer in the bed of the truck recently. He just looked at me and said, "So I'm supposed to just take your word for it that your wife is safe in the house and having lunch?" I busted out laughing!
  8. Haven't seen this buck before. Must have finally come out of his groundhog hole! LOL Interesting how many new bucks I've gotten pics of post season! I didn't expect them to be venturing out of their core area right now.
  9. He looks like a mean SOB!! You didn’t practice any catch and release with that one did you? LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Good and helpful info! Thank you all! This will be a project for me this winter and spring! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. When my wife was going to physical therapy for shoulder pain, they used a CBD cream on her. She thought it worked so well, she bought some from them. I’ve since developed shoulder and arm pain (suspected torn rotator cuff) and have been using it. I don’t think it helps me at all! Then again, nothing much did, not even Vicodin, oxy, or codine (and/or booze). Had a Cortisone shot, that seems to be helping after ~10 days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. We watched it again back in March, during lockdown. Interesting similarities! Good watch! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah, he's got big body especially for such a small rack.
  14. I had one too and just sold it about 5 years ago. That thing dragged and hauled out a hell of a pile of deer over the years! I stopped buying batteries for it, as it started on the first pull EVERY time, even after sitting in the shed all winter! Good times!!
  15. Cam checks have been kind of boring post season, but interesting to see what survived season. Got pics of what appears to be a piebald. First time seeing this buck! Interesting that he and a spike appeared to be trailing a group of does that passed by 15min prior.
  16. An area by my stand is loaded with a common shrub that I would like to identify. I barely passed Botany in school, so I could use some help with identifying it! If the deer don't browse on it, I plan to thin it out, to improve visibility in the area. The shrub is very light colored and almost appears white. It's got a shallow root system and I can pull some of it out without much effort. Is it honeysuckle?
  17. Glad to hear things are improving Brian! Hoping your wife will be able to come home soon. Can't imagine what this must be like for your family...
  18. Nice job Bob! Show no mercy and stack ‘em up!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. That's a beautiful buck! Congrats again!
  20. Happy Birthday!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Looking to enhance part (1/4-1/2 acre) of my backyard a bit to have it double as a foodplot. I'm not going to be tearing the yard up, just frost seeding to add clover. I have several small trees in the backyard that will prevent it from getting full sun. From what I've been reading, I'm leaning towards a mix of Durana and Patriot, because they're suppose to be more of a low growing clover and more shade tolerant, which will be good for the yard. I also read that they're pretty aggressive with choking out grass and weeds. If the deer and turkeys help limit my mowing, that'll be a win-win too! Any experience with Durana or Patriot clovers or are they not worth the hype? Any other clovers that I should consider?
