I've done it, it works.

Just finished gutting my basement today. Thursdays warm up and melt down if 20+inches of snow combined with the rain left us with 3” of water in the basement when it was all said and done. The sump pump never gave up but couldn’t keep up with what was coming in. Looking forward to rebuilding a new office and my wife wants a craft/painting room. I can't read all of this, but the simple FACT is that stating he will hire a "black woman" is no different than my boss, or your boss, telling you to hire a "white man" – its racism and sexism pure and simple. They pretend its not because they are the elite, and feel self righteous with their virtue signaling, but in TRUTH they have discriminated against every other race and all of the LGBTQFJB genders they believe exists. Just maybe, JUST MAYBE the most qualified person is an Asian American woman, Native American woman or Hispanic American gay man. The most qualified person will not be nominated unless ALL possible candidates are considered.

I just drove from Hamburg to Amherst and back. I'm pretty sure I used $30 of the stuff.

I used to use RainX, but had the fluid level sensors in two vehicles go bad within weeks of each other. Dealer told me it was due to the RainX. I don't remember the details, but I think it had something to do with allowing the tank go dry with that stuff in it. Just throwing that out there as that is not a fun repair in the middle of winter.

I used to use them, I bought the ones with a Velcro strip down the front. Very easy to open and slide into the stand. I got them for the sole purpose of blocking wind, and they worked great. The thing I did not like about them is that they stand out, the stands looked like a dishwasher strapped to a tree. Wow, that is terrible, I hope you are now on the path to a full recovery. I have three sisters who all work in healthcare and are much more educated than I, they tell me the same stories. They struggle with the politics and media hype of it all, but see it’s impact every day, and don’t pretend it’s not real. I kinda follow their lead on it. Sure for most of us this will be a nasty cold or flu, but that doesn’t change the fact that is so much more for so many. I am 57, in good health but with an underlying issue that puts me at high risk, my doctor wants me to do the infusion treatment or the new anti viral pill (??) I’ll learn more today. I have to say I am just getting up for the day and feel much much better than yesterday. The cough is still ridiculous, but I’m taking Benzonatate that seems to work pretty well. Grandson actually!!! Coming in May! We couldn’t be more excited. Thanks to all for the kind words. This is not fun, but it’s basically a mild flu for me right now - with a cough that sounds like a sound effect from Jurassic Park. I’m sure I’ll be good to go in a few days. My biggest concerns are my pregnant daughter in law who is improving today from what I hear, and our 2 y/o grand daughter who is still dealing with this in a pretty serious way after three weeks. WTF?! So after spending the entire hunting season sick and the holiday season Being quarantine with kids and grand kids being positive, I tested positive today. We finally got together on Sunday to celebrate Christmas, yesterday my daughter in law tested positive- she is 5 months pregnant. Today I felt off and took one of the 20 tests I bought over the holidays when we were all coming down with it. Damn…Positive. Strangest cough I have ever had and a spitting headache, other than that I’m fine. Hopefully it stays that way. I just knew someone would have to say this. No one is saying Browning factory rifles are the same as $5000 custom rifles, that's like saying a Yukon Denali is not a high end SUV because Lamborghini makes the Urus. Many models manufactured by Browning, Sako, Kimber, Weatherby and many others are "high end" to most hunters, including myself. Its not necessarily the cost either, when you handle them, you cycle the bolt and you feel the quality difference, the fit and finish shows craftsmanship, the blueing and wood are beautiful to look at and touch, the stainless is polished evenly..whatever it is. Anyone with an appreciation for quality firearms knows the Browning A-bolt is a fine rifle in anyones mind and a great addition to any collection.

Maple medallions are also available from time to time. I have one in 30-06, it is a beauty.

On the rare occasion I go turkey hunting I have used an O/U – I just like them. I have two different chokes and loads, one for a bit closer of a shot, one for further. It doesn't make a darn bit of difference to me because I never see birds and therefore never shoot. LOL! I will say those TSS loads in an O/U are painful. If I were going to buy a dedicated turkey gun it would be an auto I think.

I have lost track of my grandfathers and fathers guns over the years. It is sad to think about at times. Now that I have grand children, and more coming, of my own, I wish even more that I could have those firearms and memories/history. You guys who have these family heirlooms are very fortunate. I have made a conscious effort to keep the special guns, and buy guns that I can leave to my boys and grandkids. Just last night I asked my youngest son if my newest grandson, Matthew (due in May) will prefer a Browning or Beretta 20 gauge, I plan on buying an O/U for him the day he is born. My favorite pistol is the S&W Shield. Simply because I shoot it better than any other CCW I have ever owned. Second is a toss up between S&W 686 and Colt King Cobra Target. Both super fun to shoot, I do love the revolvers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I didn’t read the story but have heard different reports on this. I also have no experience hunting elk, but I have to believe a series of cell cam pics pinpointing an elk herd in a meadow makes it a whole lot easier to sneak in in the am and take a shot from 300 yards away. I don’t see it as the same situation as a pic of a 10 point in front of my stand at 3pm, when I’m in that stand the next morning that buck is most likely long gone. If I am able to sneak in undetected maybe I have a chance, but unless I have pics of him daily in a field that I don’t even have to enter to kill him I don’t see it being the same thing. I’m not sure that makes any sense, but I think it’s just a different style of hunting and cams can prove to be a great advantage out west with animals that herd together like elk do. Now that I'm working from home it has become much easier to do the post season clean up. All of the clothes and gear have been brought in and washed, but still piled up on sofas in the basement. I'll get to putting it all away next week and toss a bunch of stuff I didn't use. My youngest bought a house a few weeks ago so he is gradually getting all of his gear out as well. More room for me!
