anyone have any luck using a does tarsal glands as a scent? the buck that was standing over the dead doe i shot makes me think she was in heat plus she stunk. i am going to cut them off and bring them near my stand to hang up in the morning.

I shot 2 does with these today, heart shot and a double lung both went less then 50 yards. No to replacement blades but i hear nap will send you some if you call. Im switching completely from rage now simply due to price. Ive seen 4 deer hit and 4 dead deer fast. i was using a vertical bow, just chiming in to help if possible!

i agree that looks like a liver hit, id have waited 3-4 hours. should be cold enough tonight to get back out there in the morning and find him.

i punched through a shoulder today with a heart shot, however it was the thinner part. i have hit the thick part and got about 2 inches of penetration, she lived.

and now i can confirm the sling blade will stay in my quiver. Took 2 does with them this morning and they worked EXCELLEnt!

Unreal morning this morning. I had a big 8 point guarding my dead doe! ended up with 2 old girls to make the property owner happy!

8 does seen this morning, 8 point circling the first ones dead body for a half hour. Shot these right behind my house, the nap sling blade did a number on them. I shot the first doe at 15 yards, heart shot she didn't go far. I watched her go down and about 15 minutes later the 3 other deer with her went right toward her body. As that happened a big 8 point came barreling out of the thick creek side and started guarding her body. I watched him from about 80 yards and tried bleating/grunting but he would not leave. Shortly after the 3 deer that were with my first doe cam back to 15 yards, i shot the next biggest one and she ran off, died 25 yards from the first one with a double lung shot. The 8 point did not move still!. i had to get down to be at work at 11 so i climbed down slowly and moved toward him with my grunt call from down wind. Managed to get to 40 yards but wasn't comfortable with the shot due to branches so i let him go back into the brush. All of this happened on a small area i got access to right behind my house (11 acres). Now i can offer the landowner and neighbors some fresh venison and maybe get access to a couple other small pieces of property.

Doe and other 2 just came back on the same path, I could shoot another but I have to work at 11 and I'll let those doe fawns have a mother or mother figure!

Buddy hit 2 deer with these and has 2 kills with his vertical bow. needless to say they are sharper than rage, more simple, and cheap! i made the switch.

Out hunting the back yard, had 2 bucks and a doe since i put the cameras out not 48 hours ago! Doe and 6 point midday and 8pt at night.

concentrate on squeezing the trigger (release) when hunting. really have to think about it. it helped me a lot as i used to just pull.

I just got access to a farm in greene of 7p, hunted 11/7 and had a 4 point come grunting to a bleat can, then a doe come in the opposite way on his same path sniffing his tracks. Found 7 scrapes scouting in a quick hour. all fresh.

VERY excited, neighbor just called me and said i could hunt behind my house on his 11 acres because he is sick of hitting deer with his car on our road. Its a small wooded area bordering a creek but the deer run this creek. I ran out and set up cameras. cant hunt till Sunday.

hornaday american whitetail shoots about 1-1.5 inches at 100 yards for me out of a cheap savage axis. plenty good enough at those ranges.
