    And people can say what they want about .243. I’ve now shot 4 deer from 30-180 yards with it. 3/4 dropped, the 4th took a 5 second 30 yard run. All passthroughs and all good holes with Winchester silvertip 95 grains. Plus I can shoot it left handed lol.

    Nice easy drag, was a younger doe but a good family I know was unable to get anything this year. Dropped her off at their house and ready to enjoy some heart fried up.

    I’d say that’s pretty acurate as fas as bones out meat goes. A 100lb dressed doe gets me roughly 40lbs of boneless fattless meat when I butcher.

    Shot a doe today in PA. Donated to a family that can use the meat. 5 people got 3 doe, a 8pt and a coyote. 180 yard shot .243 bang...flop... dead. Longest I’ve shot, before that was 80 yards. Also shot it in my pajamas from the cabin.

    I had intentions of taking a doe, everyone had a fawn and i just watched. Over 20 deer within a mile eating green grass.

    4 doe feeding in neighbors yard, had to basically yell at a fawn to get t away from my stand from 50 yards away

    Just a couple lol , at about 400 sightings with pa. Although ny sightings have really slowed down since gun opened as usual.

    Idk my buddie always takes my deer scraps, mostly the rear bones and shakes, cooks them in some water for a bit then gives them to the dogs. Sometimes raw.

    Saw 5-6 doe and 15 turkeys this evening, fog was way to thick for a safe shot.

    Out with pops on the property I shot my first deer on. Haven’t hunted it all year.

    I get in between the back legs, cut mid belly up and down, he run cut diaphragm and esophagus, and do anus last. Takes roughly 3-5 minutes. Everyone I’ve ever seen does it a little different. Don’t hit the stomach or piss sac and that’s all that matters to me.

    Nothing like walking in and finding 3 sets of hunan tracks walking past your stand. Left them a nice note since there just looking to steal shit from the abandoned cabin. Can’t post what I wrote here.... for legal reasons....

    in cold snowy weather i usually find deer close to bedding that has an easy accessible food source, they save energy by browsing and not having to walk as much.
