  1. I checked cams today behind my house (5 acres) nothing crazy 4-5 2.5 or so year old bucks, one has a really messed up side with a few random points. A doe with triplets, never had that on cam before.
  2. Ive got a buck on a property i haven't checked cams yet with a 3rd beam just like that. He was 2.5 7 pt (maine frame 6) last year. passed him like 10 times and watched him breed a doe.
  3. bass pro has some on sale too
  4. Get out there and knock on doors! i did it years ago and have gotten 8 properties out of it, as large as 388 acres and small as 5 acres. i've killed more deer on the 5 acre spot.
  5. A 12 year old license is only $5, they don’t have a charge for bow or dmp.
  6. Yes a 12 year old can get a DMP, My nephew turned 12 on OCT 1 two years ago and we drove down and got a license and DMP for $5 even though he had no intention of bow hunting just to transfer it to me. He still has no intention to use the dmp this year, since he will more than likely shoot one during youth weekend.
  7. Bushnell tracker 275, thing is great
  8. 7p went up from low to medium, my nephew has a preference point and will be 14 this year there. AKA signing it over to me lol. 7s and 7r are typical.
  9. The coverts I had didn’t last 2 years. I bought browning command ops pro this year 4 of them on sale for $56 a piece. They’re great so far but only been out 2 months.
  10. Build on a 80% lower, rattle can paint job. 1-4 cheap illuminated scope for now but works well out to 300 yards.
  11. I just built a 6.5 Grendel for deer this year also. I'm taking my 7 year old down to PA to hopefully get a doe or small buck. they get their own buck tag at 7 down there.
  12. Right with yah, coworker shot 3 with a bow last year and his pictures the he sent me are amazing for a fixed head.
  13. I used mechanical up to this upcoming season. Last year i really stepped up and tuned my bow, put 50 grain inserts up front, its amazing how these magnus hornets fly. I don't have an big issue with mechanical performance, have had much success with rage and nap. I AM however sick of having to check my blades all the time to see if there open and be delicate putting them in and out of the quiver.
  14. He’s gonna grow so good time length the next 2 weeks. I haven’t even checked cams yet, been out 3 weeks so far.
  15. Expensive up from, but replaceable under warranty for any reason! My buddy shot a rock and they sent him 2 new ones. I’d highly suggest the 2 blade black hornet for your specs.
  16. i wear one almost identical. string touches it and no issues shooting.
  17. venison cheese brats with onions and chanterelle mushrooms picked fresh today.
  18. Yup, I moved to Magnus black hornets this year, bow already tuned and dead on at 40, cams are out and stands already moved.
  19. i've got scheduled 3 day weekends all Oct, nov 2-12 off, Nov 14-17, Nov 28- dec 1.
  20. I tuned the heck outa my bow last year, paper tune, walk back tuned, bare shaft, and Broadhead tuned. Probably why they shoot so good.
  21. Yes, the plan was to try this gun out in some of my Bow stands where I don’t have a much further shot, I threw a 1-4x scope on it and it’s perfect for those short shots.
  22. You would not break the law to sell them, only if you built them with the INTENT to sell them.
  23. You need another species besides bass, something the reproduces quickly and bass feed off. Sunfish, perch or crappies. A dock would help provide cover too.
  24. I do, I use 50 grain inserts. I find it helps offset the lighted nock.
