I don’t use a saddle but I know quite a few people who do and they all swear by them. I use a LW Assault with Beast Sticks and love that setup. Takes me literally a few minutes to run my sticks up and hang my stand. To me it’s all about the linesman’s belt. I built my own it it makes hanging sticks and stand really easy

I have these 2 pieces and used them in Saskatchewan and was very comfortable -
Spotburning lol. Lots of guys in there blew up western Suffolk with forming HFD, that’s probably why they got made. Those idiots started dropping let’s in mailboxes about their services and that let neighbors know guys are up there hunting aside from it’s illegal to put those letters in mailboxes.

Yes that group is a circus show. I lurk just to make sure nobody bashes our services. It’s more of a cult than a group. Lot of good guys left that page because of it

Matt I agree. 2 days ago I had a client watching 3 bucks chase a hot doe. He watched for a few hours and said at one point they bedded down in the radishes. Funny side note, he tried rattling and grunting to no avail so as the bucks are literally still chasing he calls me to move his stand because the bucks won’t come to his grunts. You can’t make this stuff up. Had a great one today but a story for another day. Hope all is well

You may wanna try some of the FB Long Island waterfowl groups. There’s 2 or 3 groups I’m sure you can hook up with someone. Or you can always try one of the County spots that gives you a blind and decoys. For those you would go into a drawing in the morning and then choose your blind when they draw your name. Good way to hook up with fellow solo hunters like yourself -

If it’s an option you can always screw in a step at the base of the tree and tie off your life line to that so it’s not interfering with the steps on a ladder stand

I love use “Real” buck urine, no store bought with additives urine, now and then estrous in a few weeks. Here’s a mock scrape I set up a few days ago and within a day had multiple good bucks tearing it up
