Land can be "land locked" by other properties around it but it cannot be sold without a ingress or egress to access the property! Paper road are exactly what the title says they are a road that exists on paper. It is usually dedicated for future access from one development to another etc. Some paper roads never get developed and some are just access for emergency vehicles etc.

I used a tracker once and he was just starting a younger dog. He also said it was frustrating because some of the guys didn't tell you the whole story or really didn't hit it were they said. That is the tough part but don't let it stop you. That guy had stories of chasing deer in circles at night for ever so it isn't just you

She will only get better with more practice. Looks like you have a good dog!

LIVE from the woods 2015 Edition! - Sixth Year Going Strong

Blank yesterday and today. Hunting a doe only zone and can't even see a deer. Hmmmmm -
I am a huge lover of the open shot summit. Only down fall in the no collapsible frame. I really want a lone wolf climber but don't have the money. I put foam on my base platform where I stand it not only quieted down the stand but it keeps my feet warmer. Big plus. I am trying to find an old frame pack to get a hip belt for carrying. I swithched out my straps to the claw straps and that made a big difference too.

I don't do any of the TV ads to go hunting. NO soap No crazy clothes etc. I do wash my clothes every weekend or other but just with borax and baking soda. 5 dollars or so at the store for both. Hang them out in the free air and then hunt in them!! I shoot traditional bow and don''t take shots past 20-25 yards. Most of my shots are 5-15 yards deer walk past me close all the time. Trust me when I say you DON"T NEED the stuff from the stores!!!! Most of the stuff is just gimmicky. AKA they want your money.

8 it goes by number of points!!!!

It is amazing you read articles in Mags like New York Game and Fish and the articles have huge deer but the guys are from Kansas. Ohio, Wisconsin, Etc. where there are big deer and the room to grow them. Plus the food to get them there. As a lot of people know that hunt in NY we don't have that around here. The best place for that in NY is out west like Rush, Steuben county etc. Ny just doesn't have the habitat like the western states do period!

I think this article is pushing something!!!! HMMMMM

Jeremy K. That screwing around to get a fixed blade to fly like a field point is tuning an arrow to your bow. Which in the long run will make your shot accuracy a whole lot better. I know it is easier to just shoot something that flys the same.

How Many Acres Do Think Is Enough To Hunt On?
biggamefish replied to DirtTime's topic in General Hunting
All depends on location and property layout really. I know people that hunt on 3-5 acres and take deer consistently. -
Here is my arrow jig. Super simple Take the dremel and secure it to your bench top with a GOOD cutting tool attached. Then I take the jig and align it just so a tiny portion of the cutting wheel is over the lip of the L. Then you just mark your arrows where you want to cut them. Slide them into the cutting wheel and then rotate the arrow against the L on the jig. It works great and you get a very even cut every time. Let me know if you want more pics this was just a quick one to get you an idea.

I use bohning fletch tape and the bohning jig work well and you can put alot of feather on fast and the last a long time.
-
Just a reminder where your safety glasses and a mask.
-
I made a jig just an L shape piece of wood that you can roll the arrow on. I take my roto zip and clamp it down onto my work bench and then position the piece of wood (jig) to where I want to cut it and zip away. It works real well and you get clean cuts. I will try to take pics tonight for ya.

If you see a difference in the shooting I would not think it is from the weight difference. I would think they might sit on the string a little different (tighter looser etc.)

I don't use the rage broadheads. I never tried rages but the other mechanical broadheads never worked well for me. Opened up flew terriable etc. I figure it is just another thing that could go wrong so I take it out of the mix. I think alot of people use them because they don't have to tune broadheads to the bow. It seems alot of people want to take the easiest way to gratification, the less work the better. I find archery to be very therapeutic and I love messing and tuning with the bow.

Hate to blow all the theories out of the water but it all depends on your area. It can change in a second and be a week to 2 weeks different. Every year I see people saying the rut is on full force and I see nothing then a week later I see it and so on. Best way to see the rut and know when it is, is to be out there hunting!!

What is a governmental broad head?? Man I wish I knew what I was writing there!! It was supposed to be a 175 grn Tigershark.
-
Still running with the simmons sharks. Went up to 175 grain governmental.
-
Yup just got back onto it. It must just come back up.
-
I can't seem to get on the website. Anybody else having problems with it?

New ammo same results. It has to be the gun. Hornady ammo 160grn 2 inches between shots and they always go back to the same position. It is like the barrel is pushing on something when it is heating up. I cleaned everything and same results!! I am shooting with a sled to.

We torqued all the screws to the specified torque. I am think the gun only because it is a pattern. It starts high every time at 12 oclock above the bullseye then walks down. If it was the scope I would think it would be all over the place not consistent. I did get some new ammo and am going to try it this weekend and will let you know.
