You got meat in the freezer and a good hunt to boot. Congrats

The first thing to look at is form. Form is a huge problem when you are shooting any bow but specailly a recurve. THere is no let off so if you have incorrect form you are muscleing the bow back to your ancor point. After a couple of shots your arm gets tired you pick up bad habits or flyers. Make sure you are not just jumping in with a very heavy recurve. Just because you pull 60 pound with a compound doesn't mean you are going to be able to do it with a recurve. I have a problem with gripping the bow too hard which gives me a consistant high left shot. I stop that by holding the bow with just one finger and thumb. You can get a wrist loop to hold your bow to. Consistancy is a huge factor, practice a lot. You can't just pick up a recurve and shoot it in a great group. I try to shoot all year just to keep my muscle memory up. It is very hard to tell what is going on with out seeing it. Are they all flying consistant to one area? (high left low left etc)

Hot to remember to the western NY guys usually have a high deer density so they will see more. Action than people who don't have the numbers in their area. Best way to tell is b out in the woods.

I have 6 broad heads and one judo. 3 are woodsmen elites 3 blade and 3 are Simmons land sharks 2 blades. What I don't under stand is I went from a 125 Grn to a 175grn and didn't change a thing. They all seem to shoot the same. Didn't have to move anything around not that i have to move much on my bow. I carry the judo just incase a rabbit or grouse comes buy. They are some good eats.

Capital region got spit on and that was about it. Had some trees come down so there are a few power outages but nothing major. We got lucky you guys down state stay safe.

I guess it would make sense but I like the whole lay down in 150 yards most times. Then you walk up and find them not chase them across the county. So I am with you on letting them lay.

Trying a new technique I see. Not bad idea throw your sent on the deer and get them used to it. Maybe I will try it

Anybody seeing deer in 4j. I was thinking about hitting the state land up.

How's everyone doing here. Bump a couple last weekend but that is it.
-
Nice morning. The squirrels and chipmunks are crazy noisy today
-
They are saying that more of the models are coming together and showing it hitting us tues weds. Fun times as long as it is over by the weekend so we can get out hunting.

I was once hit on the head by the fuzzybumper tribe don't remember anything other than it was a soft hit. If it was nailed to the tree I would have taken it down. You would want some hiker to find it and cause a ruckus with the authorities. Might ban hunting from that loc.

A 410 might do the job and you still might be able to salvage the meat if you make a good shot. I heard they are hard to track though.

Any pics

Ha Ha don't look up with your mouth open. Aren't you glad cows can't fly??
-
Apoallo where did you here that is is illegal to use walkie talkies? I have never hear that and no a ton of people that use them. Such as deer drives and just so they can keep in touch with each other in the woods.

That is cool you can hear him breathing!

Young Bucks Are Chasing (10/21)....
biggamefish replied to Cabin Fever's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
3rd on that thought. Didn't really look like chasing but it starting to get to that time. -
Guys this is a good start to get your bow tuned. Remember you still have to tune and practice. Thanks for posting WNY

Love the brad nail idea. I had some giving me a hard time would put the bait on the trap and it would be gone with no mouse in the trap. I use those traps that look like cheese. So now I take a raisin and stuff it in the little triangle thing then put peanut butter on the raisin and I get them every time. Never find a trap gone either.

Doe you took the words right out of my mouth. I would go with the heavier arrow if possible
