To bad the bow has training wheels on it!!!
-
When it comes down to it you have to use what feels comfortable to you. If you feel confident you will shoot better.

Do B.C and P.Y not classify deer shot in game farms as record deer? I hope not it should be fair chase only (my opinion). I have never heard of a deer taken from a ranch, etc. being a state record.

These are the two bucks i got out of 700 pics. I got some great pics of tree leaves moving around. :

Come on now that last pic is a black panther with a stubby tail.

What do you want for it and if you could model number and pics. -
The cerificate thing is a joke. Why even bother other than if you don't have it it is a ticket they can write. I don't have a problem with the crossbows other than if they do allowed into archery season they have to have open sights they cant use scopes like all the new ones have.

If anybody has one that works it would love to get one for training my lab.

Ever wonder what your dog sees on the retrieve?? Now you know!

That is too cool looks like I need to buy another gadget to hunt with haha -
I just don't see the fun of shooting a deer that was raised on a farm. No fun in it for me either. I brather kill a target plus for 3000 dollars and up i don't think it is worth it. Every time you tell that story in the back of your mind you will be saying and I payed to take that one shot and didn't really earn it.

I used to use the split finger method untill someone told me to try three under. Like you said I achieved way better groups and never went back. If you aren't hitting the same anchor point I would concentrate on that part of your shooting for a week or two. Don't worry about your groups when doing this practice just concentrate on that anchor point. After you do this the repetition will probably take ove and your anchor point well natuarlly be there when you are shooting.

A couple of forums of maybe west ny middle and eastern. We can share how to's pics and what is biting on what or maybe just one big forum that everybody contributes to. -
I totally agree with center punch. I have put my cameras out in some high traffic areas but after the bugs come out and nobdy wants to be in the woods because they are sisy's (J/K guys and girls). After turkey season you can put your camera in alot of places that you usually wouldn't and it won't get seen or touched. I would still lock it up if you can. I keep mine out untill a couple weeks before deer season when people really start scouting then they come down. By then you should have a good idea of where the big one is by then. Looking forward to seeing your pics.

I have a hard time believing that he is dead. With all the media and troops that have video cameras and cameras etc etc. It just seems wierd that he was dead and gone all in the same day with no evidence. No evidence is just the same as all the cougar sightings in new york (sorry didn't mean to bring that subject up) but we all say prove it and show us real evidence and now we all just believe the media and government because they say so?? I have a hard time believing the government when they just say whatever they want and everybody believes them. If he is actually dead then those troops need a good rest and a pat on there back. I fully support our troops and what they fight for every day. I just have a hard time believing it.

You hit it on the head. Keep them right out of the state.

Anybody hear that they want it to be illegal to have a pump shotgun or a shotgun that has a hand grip on the forarm?
-
I think i would be missing a few fingers if I went that fast!

So I went into the woods yesterday and was just walking around and found a dead deer. I could tell that the coyotes had eatng their fill so I had to see if it was a buck or doe. I kicked the snow away from the head and sure enough someone had cut the antlers off (scull capped). Now I am hopeing that is wasn't a case of someone just antler hunting during bow season. You could tell that al the bones and legs where there and attached to each other. Kind of makes you think of the worst but guys you have to give the benafit of the doubt.

Are there any of thos ranges in NY I now S&W will let you try out any gun at there plant and penn. has store like that I think. I didn't think NY had aything like that.
-
9mm are a great gun people always say they don't have the knock down power put a hollow point in there and have someone rush you. If you can hit your target I bet they will stop!!! If you keep looking around and want a 9mm you can find one for around that price. Keep an eye out on gunbroker and site like those they work great and they give a list of the gun shops that work with them so you can get your pistol shipped to them for the switch over.

Didn't serve but I think all you guys and gals that served for this country deserve a huge thank you. You fight for us so we can sit here on our computers and talk to each other bicker about nothing (well not nothing)and drink some coffee. For that I thank you all.

If you don't know if you will like I would look for some used equipment to start out. You can find some pretty curent model bows for decent prices. Start there that way you won't be dolling out 1000 dollars for something you might not like. Bow hunting is a much more peacful experience and you don't see as many people. You do still get your fair share of idiots though. I hunt public land and every year I get someone who walks right under my stand then wants to talk like we are great friends sitting at a diner. You can't get away from people unless you are on private land but you get alot less during bow season. If you are willing to walk 20 minutes or more you even see less. good luck bowhunting is an awsome experience specailly that first encounter with a bow in hand. Nothing like it.
