Virginia ham, turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard on ciabatta roll. When I'm in Buffalo.... Roast beef on wick' with some horseradish. A John and Mary's hamburger sub with oil. Does a Ted's hotdog count?......a footlong with everything, and a side of rings.

Holy crap this thread is funny.

"Yes, seems like every time I go by there on the 190 folks are wetting a line." Never been on a boat upper river or Lake Erie when i lived up your way. A few times I fished on a boat out of Olcott on Ontario .Fished some in Devils Hole or the power project platform. Both my parents and grandparents grew up right across from Riverside park; and as a kid my grandfather would walk down there and wet a line with me. This was early 70's and the water was pretty polluted, but we'd get some carp sometimes.

Folks still fish from shore at the foot of Ontario St?

HA! Don't I wish. Been busy with stuff, you know how that goes.

Larry, next time I'm in town just get those yappy mutts out in your neighbors yard. I'll swing by with my dog and she can make a snack out of them. Win-Win.....I won't have to bring food, and poof, no more dog sitting.

maple syrup equipment

Have about 300 taps on gravity tubing......only drilled about 80 this year. Over the last 8 years 52:1 here almost like clock work.....just a few gallons either way for average. I always read about these 40:1 numbers but my woods trees just never hit those marks. In the past a friend boiled off everything from my trees; this year I did 6 gallons on a little homemade arch just for fun as I had some free time.....he did the same after selling his bigger evaporator off the winter. Fun hobby........and just like any farming, a ton of work to make a living off it. -
I see you been on Harlem road then. LOL Sent you a PM....

They were back logged way before Sandy Hook........how is it possible there has been an increase in denials as they are most likely just getting to applicants from after that time period. If you have a clean record and are patient, you will get one. I'm blown away on another forum for people applying and the myriad of arrests in their past......they get denied because they forgot some! How do you forget you were cuffed and put in the back of a cop car! Guess when it happens enough, they all blend together. Funny stuff when they are suprised they are denied. LOL

Officer's gun discharges in School Highland NY. Ulster County
Dinsdale replied to apoallo's topic in General Chit Chat
"Police Chief Daniel Waage said on Friday that an investigation of the incident indicated Officer Sean McCutcheon was on duty at the school when he had “a lapse in judgment, unsecured his .45 caliber Glock duty weapon and in doing so inadvertently discharged one round from his weapon into the floor.” The investigation into the incident determined it was the result of “officer error and ruled unintentional.” The chief said McCutcheon had a habit of unsecuring his weapon from its holster and sliding it up and down and in doing so, the gun went off." Lots of good advice in that post. I have one rifle with my name in the floor plate, and a spare blank one that can be used to replace it if I ever sell the gun. Some modest scroll work can be had on the relative low cost end of the market, once animals are involved and depending on style.......the prices climb pretty fast. There are a few places that do laser stuff now; results I have seen are hit and miss. There is also machine cut, but that tends to be at the manufacturing level.

Doing a multi day canoe trip in the Daks with a friend, we found container (55gal drums cut) of pot plants off the beaten path looking for a tent site. At the river side head of the trail was a huge whitish boulder....I took a old fire charred log left right there and put " free pot plants" and a great big arrow pointing the way. Took a dump in one of the containers. LOL 2 years ago in a ravine I have walked 100's of times for 24+ years and after Irene; I found a glass insulator for telegraph lines just barely sticking out of the duff. After doing some reasearch and asking some collectors about how that string of poles might be run, found 2 more. Worth a couple hundred bucks a piece because of the color and defects contained in them. Wish I could find more of that line! Paid for part a nice scope set up for a 300WBY. Spooky when I bought my property......it had a small home built by squatters who decided to live on someone elses property; they had been kicked out about 5 years prior to me buying. Along the driveway I noticed a series of shallow depressions in a row, about ten of them. Dug three up, and each had just a full grown dog skeleton and each head had a hammer head sized hole right in the top.......no lower jaw bones in any of them. In the walls of the house were little girls clothes and paintings of kids having no arms/heads/legs; done childish cartoon like. Not like one or two, but like 50 paintings done on cardboard box sides. I still have some of them somewhere in the attic......(called the police and they looked at them) Got to admit it still freaks me out a bit on a dark night out here in the sticks.....alone........LOL

Cool...... I shoot a magazine fed modular gun of another brand in a similar concept and have half dozen barrels. Same trigger and same feel across different calibers feels good as everything on the shooters end is always the same. Good luck with it.

I'd be guessing it has to do with the law that any permits or licensing has to be public knowledge in NY, and by making one type of permit off limits by the state it would be open to a court challenge. By allowing each individual a way to opt out, thats the backdoor way to keep it away from the lawyers (its an action of the permitee, not the granter of the permit; the state is just giving the mechanism to do so).

Actually it was 4...........Probowls......7 for Reed, 5 for Irvin during an overlapping career. What part of "Reeds longer career" did you miss on my post.....I'm not saying either are Jerry Rice in numbers, just comparable for active years. But like I said you have to check the numbers and not the PR.
-
Go compare Reed's and Irvin's numbers......Irvin has the edge on yds/catch....and number/game. In Irvins best total yardage year(91'), Reed had more TD's. The rest of the numbers are VERY comparable per season.....and Reeds' longer career bests many stats by Irvin.Including almost 1800 yds more total production for Reed.(13700 to 11900) Irvin Reed Yds 11900 13700 Catches 750 951 TD's 65 87 But when you don't win a Super Bowl, and a bunch of guys who were on the same team who also didn't win get in.......going to be hard to overcome that with the voters.

Concrete Action To Restore Our Gun Rights
Dinsdale replied to Early's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
NYSPRA filed a notice of claim against NY (Attorney General).... Text is on their website. Basically gives the State a heads up and gives 90 days to file suit. NRA is using Rifle and Pistol Association as Tom King is on NRA board.....also keeps them clean if they don't win. -
