Scooter....Wildfire 50cc
Dinsdale replied to Lawdwaz's topic in Non Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
I ride down to the mailbox on it now....maybe I'll start getting one piece at a time. -
Replacing some deck stairs and railing work last few days; after 9am not a lick of shade. Its great! Primer dries kinda fast, but I can live with that. After 5 months outside this past winter building off a generator for most of a project due to piss poor planning......I'm ready for some warm.

Got the Spree running better......but needs a carb job. Maybe I'll swing by on my way to Sturgis for a cold one. -
Glad to see its working out. Like the Elephants, my favorite animal to watch.

Amazing feat. Know more about mountaineering than climbing and there Rhinehold Messner is a wonder as a free style alpine climber. All 14 8000 Meter peaks without oxygen; cross Antarctica without dogs or snowmobiles, solo across Gobi Desert....... In the late 60's(almost 50 years ago) he was doing free solo (no ropes) in the Dolomites..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVYDVUbHlK4

Second pic is a Black Buck.....native to India/Pakistan.....So you can say you made it to Asia too! Nice shooting!

Its been a LONG time, but somewhere along the line I used one of these. Not sure but try this IIRC....in your second pic; that square block on the blade holder needs to be reversed. Right now the little notches line up to take pin blades; flip that clamp block so that the notch is to the back on the machine. You need to switch the bottom clamp block too. I think you'll need to tilt table to access that. I think that'll allow you to put a squeeze on the blade. I have an older cast iron saw, similar in you needed to change clamping system to go between both styles.

Most recoil in any gun you've shot ?
Dinsdale replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
Hope this to be my elephant gun; next year around this time maybe I'll see some results in the field. 40 year old that hasn't seen much use. I think the 300 yard leaf to be "optimistic". Getting new stock that'll fit me better, receiver peep sight, new front blade, new trigger. -

Shot others guns; 500 NE in a sub 12lb double rifle needs some extra attention to shoot well. 505 Gibbs bolt gun. Poor fit for me didn't help. Was offered to shoot a 460Wby and declined. Closing in on a 100ft lbs recoil there and typical deer cartridges are more like 12-30 ft lbs in typical rifle weights around 8 lbs or so. Some I have owned; 458 Lott with some pretty stiff handloads (500grs@over2300fps) 602 Brno fit pretty good with some adjustments. Around 10 lbs all up. 300 RUM in a 7 1/2 lb all up rig. Again fit me well. Still own the stock and using a 300Wby on it at the moment. Was very impressive on several hunts for terminal performance but the Wby is as good with a whole lot less powder. Just bought a 458 Win Mag for a hunt and planning on 480gr softs and solids with open sight/rear peep; maybe a mini reflex sight. Not sure if it'll get a recoil reducer in butt as I like a slight heavy muzzle. -
There are several forums dedicated to the Honda Spree..... About 70 mph with the right goodies added!

My Dream Rifle Shoots Like A Dream!

Couple of snap caps = lots of practice and no recoil. Just sayin'. -

Isn't that a bit optimistic for a 16" barrel? Just an observation skimming a thread thats currently on another forum I happen to be reading along on.

Damn, didn't think of that. But I'm betting Pygmy knows some awesome limericks that would be entertaining.

Come on Larry.......Biz can sit in your backyard and maybe see how plugging a critter in the neighborhood goes over. LOL Had lunch at the Goat last weekend on my way out of town and was going to leave enough for a round for the get together, but wasn't sure if one or two bottles of beer was enough to split between all you going.

I had the same idea. Arrived at job site early to find another hunter already parked there; so I went to work. He didn't see anything.....I have been seeing birds nearby for last couple days.

Chase Sapphire Preferred not too bad. Extra value if you use it through their Ultimate Rewards system to book. No foreign fees (why I have it). Technically has annual fee after first year, but I just threaten to leave and they have waved it. Flexible for airlines. Probably should use it more, but have found I can make good deals on airlines; and have used points towards accommodations.

Don't do shows very often, hit one in PA in the fall some years; but went to a small local gun club sponsored show and made a good deal on shotgun slug ammo and dies for that 458 win mag I just picked up. Bought the dies before I even bought the gun. Just happen to see ad in NYON so maybe I'll stop in. Need a junker stock to make a pattern, a few odds and ends. On the hunt for a bolt 22 Hornet too.

I may find myself close enough to this to stop in. Anyone go to this? Just a bunch of memorabilia; or enough tables to make it interesting?

For those interested first post in this thread has the notice sent to dealers from TMNA.... https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/stop-sale-on-2017-tacomas.488438/ Probably will include my 2017 Tacoma I bought a few months ago. So far 1600 happy miles. With my rear seat delete stripped down model I am more confused as to why I don't get interval wipers but a back up cam and heated side mirrors. After a few times in the mist I think I'll pay the $89 for the stalk required. Frankly I could careless on the recall issue; every vehicle except a 13,300lb Mistubishi Fuso box truck has required some sort of recall..... None have delivered less than 200,000 miles and one quite a bit over 300K with standard maintenance, original motors/ trannys/ clutch. Last one made over 200K with original exhaust system intact (Ford Escape). I have a 2014 Ford that needs a trip in for a computer reprogram recall for door locks that'll get done with next free service when I get around to it.

Figured you blame it on the Kindle.
