Niece graduating Dental School......just looked, May 5th at 3pm.
-
Should be able to rope Lawdwaz in...... In town for a UB graduation, but not sure of date maybe 5th?

I have to be in Buffalo area in early May and have to try this place just for the pics that have been posted in this thread.

I've bought off forums and online sites (gunbroker, guns international); many reputable sellers give a 3 day non firing inspection period starting when it hits the FFL. Shipping costs on your dime if you return. Did have small issue with one gun and seller reached an agreement with me for price correction (missing tool standard with the gun when bought new). Some good positive feedback is there for a reason when doing your homework.

That's why I like the Rowland Ward record book that contains animals from all over the world. Based entirely on the animal and a location; even a pick up counts if big enough.

SB 4739 - Establishes the yearling buck protection program

I want to see this pass just for the resulting thread(s) on it! Now THAT would be entertaining. -
I stop on the way to work if I have a larger amount and give em' a heads up; they'll even get the cash from another branch thats bigger and have it waiting for me. If its a couple for 1K each from a gun, I'll space em' out anyway so I just don't buy another! LOL I make out great at the Post Office, mail guns, get live chicks through the mail, never had a piece of outgoing mail lost ever.......best deal in the Gov't. Send stuff to South Africa a few times a year, need to use courier or it would never get there. Even then you need to bribe the route driver to keep things from getting ripped off when they receive it.

I don't think we have one? "Welcome to Loozerville" would work.

+1; lots of internet forum transactions with USPS MO's. For way more than a hundred dollars too, great way to move cash around. Kinda ridiculous not to have 100 around in the cash drawer, but guess it happens.

Meat its whats for dinner or at least I'd like it to be...

The money I have used on hunting (and fishing) was well spent. Its all the other that has been wasted. -
Gonna take a little time and tie up some flies tomorrow after I get done with a little work. Haven't been fishing as much lately and need to fix that this year.

All messing around with job pics aside..... I think Pella,Andersen,Marvin all make a decent product if you like the features and the cost fits in with budget. I would avoid any lumber yard deals with off brands....JMO. I worry more about the installer than manufacturer. LOTS of butchers who can't hang a door true or even put a window in a hole proper. Hell, I work with them many days!

A little over.....new 4 car garage too. Paid for 3 weeks in Africa for me. LOL Favorite room inside was sunroom on far right.
-
Oh....now we are showing pictures platinum Pella man? 62 Marvin windows AND the doors too....a little before and after.

Marvin. Intergrity Series. Wood/Ultrex if you need stain, or want a traditional paint look for interior. Or you can do all Ultrex in and out, (almost always do wood, can order pre-primed) Maybe done excess of 250 in last 3 years alone; just did 30 the other day. Occasionally install Andersen 400 series, once every couple years, mostly to match existing. Vinyl exterior/wood interior.

Hey it was hunting orientated. Could have been some stupid link in the political topics here.

As they say, the devil is in the details..... But basic hunt, doing your own meals, supply your own boat/atv transport, add in all the little extras like 13-14% tax, licence....... Have a group of 4 guys and you can match that rate with a number of operators IMO. I also know of folks who have been nickled and dimed to death on hidden extras. Cost a few dollars to bait and prep proper for a hunt; bait, fuel, time.......just sayin'

That a Shamrock Holster? If so I have that Bandito for a 8" ruger 44 and its terrific. Actual have a couple holsters of his; one that exchanges for the 44 and another for a SIG pistol. Quality product and very comfortable to wear for long periods.

I'd run up and visit family, but I have to be in town early May for a graduation so won't make it this year; and I'm broke and can't do much this year but some fishing unless a great end of season/cancellation deal happens to pop up. Planning next year and part of hunt will hopefully be with him if schedule works out.

I went to the Rockland show last week, went to the WNY show last year to do some paperwork with outfitter; they are very similar in size. Hadn't been to Rockland in some years and agree it was so-so, although I did make a connection for fishing this summer. Anyone gets a chance say hello to Marius from KMG Safaris so he doesn't get lonely; had a very good time hunting with him last year. (he also has some smokin' deals on South African hunts and the airfare/exchange rate is very attractive again this year, just sayin')

Get a chance to get a NULA under the scope I'd be curious to what you find.
-
I've scoped a bunch of rifles and seen more as someone I know has a very good bore scope. You'd be surprised at what you'd find in there for machining. One thing true, every poor shooting gun has had crappy rifling; ironic that a few good shooters haven't looked all that amazing either. The better the bore, the easier it is to clean barrel; and that shows. One of the best shooters I have is a custom with a hand lapped, air gauged barrel.....its amazing how clean the rifling is, shoots bug hole groups, and cleans up with just a few strokes.

Folks who had the xbow's had some Hoyt product hanging; but I don't think set up, just the xbows and that target alley. Even I had a beer there today, I have no idea what it was as I didn't buy. Met up with 2 guys doing a hunt with an outfitter I know and are a bit lost on packing and paperwork. It'll be a miracle if they manage to get on the plane with their stuff; but I think a little assistance today sorting through gear and such helped. Haven't been to that show in ages, a little something for everyone. Want to book a Maine bear hunt you had plenty of choices! LOL Liked a Loomis 3 piece spinning travel rod, but not the price.

That bolt is on the wrong side for you.

I love my float tube. In that pic its almost 10 years old and has been on many week long trips into Canada(over a dozen), local ponds and ADK's. I carry it 2/3 inflated and finish blowing it up full when I get to the water. Some places I have gone I need to throw it ahead of me the brush is so thick, when semi soft it won't get punctured. Carry my kit and fins in a pack with a takedown 4 pc rod, either spinning or fly. There are several spot to clip on tools with bungee leashes so you don't drop anything. Longer rod helps, a short rod is tiring casting all day; 8 foot spinning, 9 foot flyrod is what I use. I did buy a new main bladder, but then finally found a pin hole in the old one and still using it after repair (just like inner tube, cement and a patch). If serious about covering good sized ponds, those real dive/snorkeling fins pictured are a must. Stupid shorty/stiff plastic ones that come with it are worthless to cover water or hold a position in the wind, those happen to be Mares. I don't think I'd use it with lots of boat traffic, not much above the water line and I'd be nervous about being run over.
