I myself have not cooked anything with the air fryer. Mrs Bundy has though and that thing is amazing. Wings cooked in there are to die for. I didnt think about perogies, but great idea. Ill get her going on that pretty quick. One thing she made recently I recall is rolls. Worked great.

TurkeyFeathers... We need serious details and videos of the helicopter hunt!!! My hunting buddy wants to do that in the worst way. I do see a bunch of public land in PA when I drive through. I have often wondered about the pigs also on the public land. Might be the way to go. I did the pay to pig hunt last year and am not returning for a hunt like that. Once was more than enough.

Pretty good links Belo. I find this book to be quite helpful. It goes soup to nuts for smaller home orchards, including a section on pruning. I also order all my trees from this nursery. Good stock and good prices. Schlabach's Nursery. If you order something like 100.00 of stuff they throw this book in for free. I have some Asian pears from here that are monsters. Pay attention to the root stocks if you order. Most nurseries I speak to dont have a clue when I ask them the root stock. I usually prune during snow goose season in march. I dont like pruning in Feb as its still very cold and I get concerned about damage. Regarding not getting apples one year. This could be due to over cropping. If one year you have a huge crop, the following year you may get none as the tree spent all its energy creating the massive crop and has nothing left for the following year. THINNING is key in this scenario. https://www.amazon.com/BACKYARD-FRUIT-PRODUCTION-David-Schlabach/dp/0976508109

Good stuff to know! Making me feel better and better. She does eat bugs. She likes to try and catch flies out of the air. Shes batted spiders around like a cat. Its funny to watch.

Hmmmmmmm. Had not even thought about porn but OK I see it being possible now after reading the subject!! I'm glad to know that the saliva is potentially expelling the toxins. Not sure what I would do without my duck hunting partner. Though she does have this very bad habit of picking up spent shells and chewing them. I gotta pick up the shells quicker.

I got home last night and was worried I would find her in a bad state. She greeted me normally, jumping and whining and wagging her tail. I let her out to do her business and took my headlamp with me. She squatted down with no issue and left a big ole steamer. Nothing looked abnormal. She ran around like usual and eventually inside we went. She inhaled her dinner like usual. I then checked her mouth, gums, teeth, throat best as possible. Only thing I saw was yellow build up on her front teeth. Didnt seem abnormal to me. I poked, prodded, tapped etc her mouth and her belly area looking for reaction from her. Nothing. I watched her mouth and didnt see anything leaking out. Where she laid her head I went and checked periodically for wetness. Nothing. The only hint she had something a little bit still was now and again (once every hour or two roughly) she would lick her lips. I think she was still producing a bit more than usual saliva but a lick now and again took care of it instead of it leaking out all over the place. She seems extremely fine and I opted not to go to the vet. I also found a great website on dogs eating fireworks! Listed specifically was sparklers, which was what she might have picked up. If no signs after 8 hours then there is no concern according to this article. I essentially ruled out any type of fireworks poison with that. It also said she needed to eat a quantity in order to have serious adverse affects. Since she may have only picked up one part of one, it didnt seem this could have done much to her. Im going to keep my eye on her for a while yet, but whatever was happening looks to be going away and nearly gone. Maybe it was a small piece of sparkler that moved through her body, maybe she got a burn on her mouth, maybe she ate something else. I did have a house full of people and another dog around for the weekend as well. Im happy as a clam she is OK.

My Lab is turning six in a few months. Thinking back, she likely picked up/ate a piece of spent 4th of July type sparkler on Saturday night. I am not certain she ate it or just picked it up. I thought she picked it up and dropped when I told her to. If this is the cause, I would think she would show signs before 3 days. That was Saturday night and she shows sign of this on Tuesday night. I wonder a piece of sparkler is stuck somewhere. Im getting more and more nervous now.

Last night I noticed my lab was literally dripping saliva all over the place. It was constant drip drip drip and the floor and blanket got real wet. This is not her drooling for food. She drools and has long pieces hanging from her mouth when she picks up food scent. This was different. Anyone have this happen before????? Im not usually one to run to the doc immediately but I must say this is a bit concerning. Im thinking take her to the vet tonight if she still is doing this after 24 hours. EDIT: Scary shit after googling. She has her appetite, good energy. As of last night, I notice nothing different about her behavior other than the saliva.

Ughhhhh. Went to sleep Sunday night with a bit of a sniffle, woke up with full blown cold/flu some shit. Damn wind Sunday out duck hunting really got me. Not sure I can make it to GTG.. Im going home from work early tonight. My home remedy is a bottle of honey jack, some lemon juice and some natural herbs. Lets hope it works for Thursday.

I unearthed a box of hunting items this weekend that was stuffed in a closet. Lots of lead from the good old days. Slugs and slugs and slugs for 12 and 20. A few backtags, my old duck call, arrow knocks, old WASP blades. A veritable treasure trove. I was really hoping this was it for my three lost goose bands. If they were anywhere, it would have been here. I am afraid they are in the landfill somewhere. The best item I think I found was the receipt from my fathers 20 Ithaca featherlite. My mom and I went to Creekside in 1982 to pick it up for xmas.

Closed the season this weekend. Saturday was slow. Saw a few and got no shots. Sunday was better, but not great. Saw wayyyyy more ducks Sunday but out of range. I managed to get two shots, and splashed one bird. That was it within range. They are flaring due to something. Going to change things up with decoy spread next year and see how it goes.

The 12 was not an auto. I am also not sure on the 20 kick. The good news is Mrs. Bundy has been sleeping late, leaving her Rem 20 auto loader unused. She going to be buying this gun soon I think. I didnt end up needing to use the old featherlite. I found the receipt for it though! another post coming.

I switched off to something called Red Pocket. I dont use the phone much for data and they have a small amount of data and phone for cheap cheap cheap. Also use verizon lines. If you dont need tons of data, give a thought. I have literally zero issues in about 6 months of use.

Interestingly enough that blanket we were given stayed around for a while and kind of disappeared. My wife found it stuffed somewhere in a drawer 4 years later. She brought it downstairs and the dog found it. Sniffed like crazy and now at times she goes to where it is and whines until we give it to her. She either recognizes it or it still smells. I hope this idea works out.

One thing when I got my pup. I was handed a small blanket and told to give to pup at night while she was in the cage. The blanket had smell of mother and litter mates. In your situation I wonder if might help to leave a blanket with your smell on it in the cage with her at night. My lab loves her cage. It sits in our bedroom and she goes there at night when its time to sleep. I put her in it first night she came home. I locked the door then, but now I dont even have a door on the cage. Im lucky i didnt know any of this small cage large cage business. I bought her a huge cage and she never once soiled it. I guess luck. I also let her out THEN feed her. She takes care of her business then runs in expecting food. Works well, except at bed time. Other thing we also got child safety gates. This worked flawlessly. No screw holes needed.

My hunt consisted of a 4 hour drive starting at 230AM. I was hoping we had action like last weekend. Arrived at 620 for a 705 legal shoot time, geared up, and started setting up decoys. Sadly a slow day. Two ducks came within range, shot one and saw a handful of feathers fall from the sky. Hit the road for home at about 1:30 for another 4 hour drive. Managed not to fall asleep either direction while driving. Closing weekend coming up. Ill be out both days this time.

Deer hunting in Tompkins County DMFA January 13-31, 2018
Al Bundy replied to goosifer's topic in Deer Hunting
I had a bit of time to drive by the two state parks this weekend. It does not look like an ideal setup. Not a ton of land to hunt , and I assume there will be plenty of people hunting. I am assuming the chances of getting something are low. Parking for some of the area could be an issue. Keep that in mind when selecting a spot. Pull offs on the side of the road are not possible everywhere. There are motels very very close. Rodeway Inn comes to mind. good luck to those going. -
Some of you have seen my posts regarding my newish super black eagle 3 and shooting issues. This weekend I realized that part of the issue I am having with this gun is the trigger safety. What I mean is... After thinking about I realized this is the first and only gun I've had with a trigger safety. All others for the last 40 or so years have had the thumb. I'm doing some kind of muscle memory thing with my hand and fingers which is helping to screw things up. Anyone ever find themselves in this situation?

Gearing up now. The wind is screaming like a banshee but the temp is up. Not sure what the morning will bring, but at the very least a smile on my face.

Very cold this morning. I had no desire to remove my gloves. Also today we saw and had a ton of shooting. An amazing day. Two mallards in the bag. Going back in the morning again.
