First attempt at Keilbasa. Turned out quite good but I smoked it a bit long I think. Also made some snack sticks. Good taste but also a bit dry.

I'm not real far from this area and am thinking seriously about going. Im thinking to scout the public land tomorrow long as my hunting buddy still wants another deer. Anyone whos hunted the public state parks have any tips? Thanks.

My hunting buddy needs one more deer for his freezer. We talked about DMFA last year but never did. Now this idea is planted in my head and sounds great!! That season should pick up just after ducks close. From the bottom of her heart, Mrs. Bundy will be sending you guys a virtual one finger salute for giving me this idea... I have time this weekend to go scouting. @Hock3y24 - Any tips on where to scout??

Y that @crappyice Again this year @crappyice in my cold water pipe. It froze yesterday morning. I'm thinking Jerkman and crappyice need to have their own private get together.

The blind we have was just built and put up. Its a great first attempt but its not perfect. The water is low now and its further from shore than I like. Also this blind limits your vision quite a bit. Its a better setup me sitting outside the blind in some cover. My lab usually sits next to me and I have a camo cover I put over both of us. Its a bit basic and I think the ducks are making either or both of us. I had hoped to get her something to hide her better.

Ducks!! Combo Yote hunt at night then head to the waters edge for ducks at sunrise. Sit til 10 or so then chase some snows. This is my next 3-4 weekends, until Mrs Bundy says different of course. Also I will be making some trips to the range if I can find one open. I think coming months are perfect for range time. Im dialed in pretty good with my rifle, but can always use more practice. I need to shoot some clays also. Rob Hunt and fish... Didn't you say once your lease has good duck area?? Get out and drop those decoys!

This will be a good GTG, as long as Jerkman can keep his tent pitching under wraps. !!! I also vote for Syracuse GTG this summer.

Anyone use a blind for their dog while duck hunting? If so.. which one?. Thinking about getting one.

Mallards to the left of me.... blacks to the right of me.... report and guns thundering... I peppered them with my shots and shells still over six hundred flew! facing 3 1/2 in shells they flew! into what should have been hell. instead not a damn duck fell. Great morning but what a sucky morning as well. I shot about every shell I had and made so many holes in the sky. Lots of birds in the air. . I didn’t connect with a single one. I clearly don’t have the hang of this benelli. I was on the birds most shots. Lined up took my time and kept expecting something to fall. On at least a few shots I saw the bbs fall and appeared I was right on with the pattern. Wtf wtf wtf.. I swear my lab was laughing at me. Good times but really not acceptable. I do know this gun shoots high and I been working on shooting a bit low. My season for ducks really picks up late season so I have to get better. I might go with my old gun til I get this sbe3 dialed in at the range.

Semi live. I forgot my phone again. A few birds flying, and lots of birds in sight not flying. Next gen hunters all got shooting. It obvious all of us need range time as nothing splashed. I’m also Still getting dialed in with this benelli. Shots were on the max range though today and nothing I would consider good shooting. The young lady did pretty good, pulling the trigger once on the Remington 11-87 . She wants to shoot and is a bit timid but we are getting there. Great morning had by all.

Most of my shots could be with an xbow, but I still carry my rifle. 12 gauge is for waterfowl only now. I actually wonder about the fewer number of shots heard now vs years ago. Could it be at least in part due to hunters no longer shooting at running deer with 5 or so slugs? Taking your time to pick a clean shot using a rifle?

Who you calling old guy???? I used a bucket for a good while a bunch of years ago. Before that I used an old old apple crate. With these newfangled things called stands I don't use buckets anymore. Id sit there if it looked good to me. Sounds like a good spot though from what you described. Good luck!

I had ACL replacement in 1998. Mine is still in place and functioning well. (Seems like the only piece still functioning well!!) It went through about 10+ years of heavy martial arts. Donor all the way. Go with donor and don't look back.. Seriously... OP: A new knee is just about certain in my future. I am a number of years away and have not looked into it much. I do see different companies produce slightly different replacements. What is your doc going with?

I ordered a floating mallard decoy from Mojo outdoors. First one the paint on the duck beak was scraped off a large spot. Unacceptable to me. I dont want bare spot on the beak during late season. Ill never get ducks to come in. Returned it and a second one came with the same issue, though a bit less paint scraped off. The issue is a heavy weight comes loose from the package when shipped from China. It bounces around and scrapes the decoy. I called customer service and said they may think about the way they package and the woman told me ..."We have no control over that. It comes from China. You just need to buy some paint and touch it up." Seriously? I am paying $140.00 + and I need to go buy decoy paint to make this thing acceptable? I told the woman exactly this. Not real sure what to do. I guess I wont have a mojo in my decoy lineup.

I was thinking exactly the same about preggo and docile. Seems to make logical sense. I used to abalone dive a few years back and every single time I hit the water I used to think about a shark encounter. Never did see one which I think is a good thing. I was also fishing off half moon bay in California when a MONSTER white shark effortlessly circled the boat. Not quite as big as the boat I was on but big enough. Its an amazing thing to see such a giant creature swimming so regally.
