  1. https://huntingny.com/forums/topic/34006-centerpoint-sniper-370-crossbow-review/ Grampy and I both have one, review there!
  2. There's some milkweed growing in it, but otherwise weed free. Turnip was about the size of a Clementine orange, hundreds of em. Moved a camera over to them, lot of tracks but didn't see any nibbles.
  3. Team 2. Leaning hard on Grampy to carry us!
  4. Exactly. And holy crap did their customer service go to hell.
  5. 45% discount confirms my suspicions about bass pro.
  6. Took the fam up to the farm, first little taste of fall weather!
  7. It's not even just hunting season this year, Dave. People crawling all over, picking mushrooms, riding quads. Yesterday encon was parked at the end of the driveway complete with a trailer full of ATVs looking for some jackasses who are destroying the trails with their jacked up jeeps. And destroying the ditches. My aunt can't even take people on trail rides right now because they've jacked up the trails so bad. You unlock a gate and people are in there the same night spotlighting.
  8. Then all it takes is 1 scumbag 15 seconds to rip down a posted sign. Our property butts up against 5000 acres of state land. We've seen it all. Particularly bad this year.
  9. It's funny, with the ACL recovery going on I figured it would be off limits. Then in June the doc was like "Go do some squats" are you kidding me?! Thankfully the PT gym is open so I get to do legs twice a week there. I can't get rid of the bulk, just sticks with you. Cardio and high reps are all I've done for 2 years. Been 10 years since I went for mass it's a struggle to get back down.
  10. Either the genetics, or the lack of minerals in the soil make racks like that unheard of around here. But! We got some real nice big bodied fellas, so the eating is great!
  11. I gave my power rack to my brother back in March. I do miss it, but it just took up too much room in the unfinished part. Adjustable bench and free weights only these days. I do miss heavy lifting.
  12. How many ceiling cans? Nice work!
  13. Dude. You have so many "crap-my-pants" bucks. They simply do not get that big around here. Yet!
  14. 2nd picture, 2 year old with the malnourished rack is mine. Good dude, would recommend. Im happy to have a taxi close by!
  15. Jerry, Hot tip:. Most cams I set at hip height, this camera is more nipple height. It's really sensitive but once you get it in the sweet spot it's picking up field movement at 50 yards easy. In tall grass.
  16. Yeah. I shoulder hit a GD Monster 11 point with this nasty looking drop tine, my 3rd year bow hunting. Once again, from a steep angle because I hunt hillsides. Didn't penetrate. Made me sick, first deer I ever lost. And I thought "Oh well that's the game, next time make a better shot." Then I'm watching THP this spring and Aaron blow through a big deers shoulder with a cut on contact and I'm like "what?!?! That's a thing?!?!" No I'm not going to deliberately take that shot once I'm set up and running fixed, but eff me it would be nice to feel confident I'll drop one if it has to go through some big ol' ribs. And my confidence in rage is shot. I'll keep them on my crossbow for now, but that's pretty secondary for my desire to take a truly big boy with bow.
  17. Ok we can go down the sidetrack road now! Listen I know I'm not the best bow hunter on the planet. I might even be a bad one. Decision making is crap, and for some reason, ONLY WITH BOW (haven't missed a rifle shot in 10 years, including a 200 yard free hand heart shot on a doe) I have had bad results with rage on big bucks. I'm aware it's almost certainly my fault. Have a taken over a dozen doe with rage 2 blades in the 11? years I've been hunting with the bow? Yup! Has any one of them gone more than 30 yards? Nope! All heart shots, with kitchen-faucets-turn-on type blood trails. But I think there's big damn difference in penetrating ribs that are double the thickness of a doe. Also I think I would have recovered 50% more of the bucks I shot with a nice penetrating broadhead instead of the 2 blades. Hell, on the one decent buck I've taken it was a 10 yard, eye level, double lung pass through, and the friggin deer was still running 4 hours later. Yes I gave him 3+ hours to expire. And every deer search guy I've talked to, the dispatcher, or the dog man himself, when I say "Rage" they get all get the same look/tone of voice. Disappointment & Sympathy in equal measure.
  18. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N979ZQM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 That reminds me, time to check my credit card points for amazon gift cards to buy another!
  19. Solid advice, as always, G-Man. I might just do that. Only saving grace might be that the deer around here have never seen this stuff before? The hammered the rye I planted pretty hard last year in september, and there's some fall rye mixed in with this. They probably won't touch the half acre of turnips thats ~100 yards away until it gets a frost. I did plant another acre or so of fall rye about 60 yards away from this.
  20. Thank you, and yeah that camera stands out even among the 3 brownings I have. I have one thats starting to malfunction, but this new, last year I believe? has crazy good range + picture quality.
