  1. Not sure quite a 140 class but a dandy for sure. Good luck with him
  2. and after watching the snapper snap the first couple waaaay right to the punter I had a bad feeling one was going wayward. How difficult a job is that anyhow ?! Still remember when Adam Linger (long snapper ) had a talk show. How much "action " could he really talk about ?!
  3. Saw a black and very dark grey grinner this morning hugging the double yellow line. Neat looking. A little squashed or I maybe would have grabbed to skin and have tanned. Just drove by again, he's a big ole grease spot now
  4. Did you see Manuel was a healthy scratch last night ?
  5. I've always been under the assumption that if its real windy that deer will bed down sheilding themselves relying on complete eyesight as hearing and smelling senses are dulled.
  6. Betcha a lot of PO'd people who couldn't watch either. Lots of power outages around here
  7. Thought this thread title was about something else ...
  8. Nope. Not much on tv tonight. Rather bored
  9. dont leave now. This is just getting good. You started the uprising , hang out for a bit.
  10. Ding ding ding. We have round #2. We may have time for more than one beer and that super $15 tub of movie popcorn for this one.
  11. If you climb up in the dark it ain't so bad until it gets light I'm not a big fan of heights but this doesn't bother me. Bottom platform is tethered to top so you're good there. Doubtful both would ever lose their grip at the same time. Once you get to set height you use your transport strap ( strap that you cinch around both pieces to carry in ) around the seat portion. All the while wearing a lifeline. No worries, you'll be fine. Practice in your yard a bit. I did before actually taking it out in the field.
  12. No lifeline is simply playing Russian Roulette. I would hope there aren't too many who don't use a lifeline. They call it "lifeline" for a reason. Wear a vest here. Don't want my family to have to spoon feed me and wipe my ass the rest of my life.
  13. Hope you don't intend to find out tomorrow as it's going to be wiiiiiiiindy !! Never had a problem with mine. But I think it has more to do with what type of tree your climbing, smooth bark versus large bark trees. Freezing rain was another thing though. May have crapped myself a little when bottom slid out as I was climbing.
  14. Yesterday in your "heart shot " post Bizarre o worlds avatar was your avatar for awhile. On my phone and computer. Thought I lost my mind....well more than usual that is.
  15. I looked in deer regulations and couldn't find the answer. I have a Bushnell nightvision monocular . Obviously not nor really could use in assisting me in shooting a deer in the dark. Just curious if its legal to have with me. Would be sorta neat to identify "the bumps in the night " that make me curious to "what was that?" pre shooting hours. Please don't flame me if this is a stupid question. I have ZERO intentions of using it to assist me in actual shooting . This may be one of these call your DEC officers and receive a bunch of different answers ?!
  16. Barrett 50 cal/ thermal scope. I don't like tracking
  17. Brother watched a little 4 point bed down across the street yesterday in cut corn. Big doe came by and pounced his rear quarters as he lay with both front hoofs. We're blaming PMS It sounds like the curled 4 point has established pecking order already. Neat stuff
  18. Bought a new 870 cantilever a few years ago. Black matte finish on barrel rusts if I look at it crosseyed. It also threw the extractor claw. Doubting more than 50 rounds thru it. I have a Crossman pump pellet pistol I've had for 35 years. Solid gun. Buddy bought the "new" version of the same thing for his son. POS, all plastic and took it back Paid a good deal of scoot for my SPT 1187 and never had a problem with it. Seems like you get what you pay for these days
  19. How's your shoulder feeling ? Dude, first bow deer and onto shotgun. Way to go.
  20. Gingivitis ? Shouldn't have chewed a tin of Copenhagen a day ? as per another thread of similar pic, I'll go with 3.5 from what I just learned
