  1. Big stink dog for sure. Liked his barking in video. Weigh him up, you'll be surprised how much we over estimate their weight. You going to sell him at auction or get tanned at Moyles or such as a wall hangar ?
  2. Bought a newer cantilever 870 a few years back. POS IMO Black matte barrel rusts if I look at crosseyed, Always oiling it down. Extractor claw "disappeared " recently too. Heard good things about Mossberg and their durability but no experience first hand
  3. out of "likes" but LIKE !!! Way to go. And to involve the little ones too !
  4. Said he didn't have nor can get permission
  5. Not like they can forecast yesterday's weather correctly but Eagle /Bliss where I hunt has up to an inch of snow the night before. I can only hope. First snow gets em moving pretty good and they show up so nicely Here's to hoping ...
  6. Recently ? By spring that flock will split . Crazy, two years ago while deer hunting I counted 53 birds. They kept coming out of the pines, and coming and coming. Must have had every bird from hills nearby in that flock. And not a peep out of any of them. The wind was blowing towards them from my stand so they must have smelled me By spring I don't think I raised more than a few different gobblers.
  7. Any numbers on how many have gotten charged on this ? To my understanding cops don't want to abide enforcing it let alone come down on anybody with charges.
  8. Pinning the mag DOES make it legal in my understanding as well
  9. Gotcha. Gun is dialed in so I only shoot once in the field. Take gun home and clean it and hopefully repeat.
  10. Never tried this. Won't my panties bunch up ?
  11. Fur prep is a big part of it. Make your own boards as opposed to wire stretchers . Trapperman is a great sight if you're not on it. Way to knock down them fox.
  12. Let me guess; cutting the windpipe ?? I reach up as far as I can go with my left hand and grab windpipe, flip the knife blade upside down. reaching in with my right hand until I hit my left hand , I run the back of the blade over my thumb til it drops off. I then know my thumb is clear and roate knife and cut. hope this makes sense.
  13. Fanny pack. ( and that doesn't sound good )
  14. explain ? 777 has killed quite a few deer for me. One shot , deer down. Dead is dead.
  15. Like it. Did you get him the lifetime license yet ? Get it now if you're going to. It's like $380 and jumps during certain ages. Going to get this year for my daughter. Now it's $750 or so. And nice deer !
  16. That's gotta make changing the channel very difficult
  17. I've never seen or heard of anyone in Buffalo area getting them locally.
  18. So wife is a vet and had a dog came in from eating grapes. Very toxic to some dogs and not so much to others. So she listed a few other common items that are toxic to dogs and I thought I'd post them up. You never know if this may help in your little four legged friends best interest, Grapes Xylitol ( artificial sugar sweetener- used in gum, mints, peanut butter ( so check ingredients if you put peanut butter in Kong chew toys) Onions macadamia nuts avocados foxglove lilies chocolate anti freeze (dogs like it because it's sweet tasting/vet clinic actually has a bottle of vodka on hand for this. vodka crystalizes antifreeze after ingestion) and I've mentioned before. watch permethrin (tick spray ) on clothes until it's dry
  19. Actually was using the burms to check guns on paper. I did see a few trucks around on my way there . guessing bow hunters Guy next to me said he's been seeing a bruiser of a buck around out there.
  20. So upon checking ML and slug gun today on paper I realized my extractor on 870 was missing. Not sure how that happened. I take very good care of my guns. Cleaning , oiling , gun cases etc. So I decide to swing by Cabela's on the way home to get it repaired for gun opener. No gunsmith Really ?! That's quite odd I think. Total missed opportunity IMO. Oh well, dropped it off at Wolcotts on the swing back home. It maybe ready as they had to order part. Muzzle stuffer maybe going the first few days. I carried the ml all gun season last year anyhow. Only shoot once anyhow
