Real lady bugs or the imitation ones ? I was at the Iroquois swamps today and the Asian lady beetles were out in full force. Lil bustards bite too.

I'd encourage walking the whole 25 acres paying attention to what's going on the property lines too. any turkey scratching in leaves? I covered 70 acres in scouting last week in a pretty quick time frame. Found 3 different areas of turkey scratching/where they roosted , some new scrapes and rubs and a few old scrapes being hit. So if you get a chance I think hands on experience is the best. Sitting in the wrong spot for hours on end or most of the season is more time wasted than a proper few hours scouting mission IMO

Don't think farting around in the woods building elaborate wooden stands this time a year is a stellar idea. Keep in mind, be careful fastening wooden stands to trees. They sway ,even the biggest trees, Loostening your fasteners whatever you may have used. Use a climber this year if you have it and think about permanent on the off season. Town hall perhaps may have the lay of your land and may help.

I see a little one with you in your profile pic. Wear your harness so they don't have to spoon feed you if you were to fall IMO It's not worth the risk "feeling safe " or not. Pretty sure all climbers 2 pieces are tethered together. You stand up to shoot behind you, awkward position, go to strap boots in to descend , drop something and lunge for it, lots of crap can happen unexpectantly.

No experience with lone wolf but my summit viper is incredibly comfy to sit all day. No climbing problems

30 years ago while checking my muskrat traps before school in the dark. I shine my flashlight to the waters edge as I'm in chest waders wading looking for a set I knew I had nearby. Light spots a 4-5 ' water snake on the waters edge. I couldn't walk around on dry land as too thick so I decided to keep my distance in the water. Looked good on paper til I hit a beaver run and filled my waders up. That snake was huge !! Only water snake I've seen in immediate area before and since. I don't mind small snakes but big ones freak me out. Big rattler ...no thanks.

So sorry It sucks , had to put our golden down a few years ago. Felt like I lost a family member. One of the worst days of my life. Thank you for not being selfish and doing the right thing for her. So many don't. I'll give our Maizy a special hug

Wife is a vet. Prescribes meds ( basically Valium like ) to lots of dogs around 4th of July Our last golden went nuts , this one maybe to dumb to notice
