  1. I’ve hunted 19 days and probably walked 200miles doing it. Had toms in range 23 times, drew the bow back 14. I have been really bored of turkey hunting the last few years, this year wasn’t boring at all, don’t know if I’ll ever try to get 2 with the bow again. It really cut into my fishing, I’m glad this turkey season is over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Got a 2yr old this morning in the Adirondacks, tagged out. Had to really work for them this year but I accomplished my goal of killing 2 birds with the bow with no blinds and no calls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. How would they know you have them? If you’re stupid enough to “surrender” them than I guess they could be confiscated but as I said my guns will never be confiscated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I can guarantee you my guns will never be confiscated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I would worry a lot more about them changing the law if I wanted one and didn’t have one than if I already had it. Confiscation will never happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. My 1000yd play gun has a Leopold mark 4 4.5-14. No need for anything over 15x unless shooting prairie dogs at ridiculous distances. Most of my long range shooting in the Corps was done with a 3-12x Schmidt and bender. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Not really any hoops it either has to have a permanently fixed magazine or not have a pistol grip adjustable stock and muzzle device. It’s really not rocket appliances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yea absolutely legal, you can buy a lower anyway you want. Because you could have a featureless stock and then the mag wouldn’t need to be pinned. Before I had them on my badge I had 3 lowers and 9 or 10 uppers and could make any of them legal or illegal with 2 pins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Or you can drill 2 holes and put a poor out in the mag for 25 cents and if you move you can drill it out. Before I was able to put them on my badge that’s what my fixed mag ar’s had Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Never had a bad job, on paper the worst job I had was when I was in the service and about to get out I did nothing and was bored so I got a job at tractor supply. My boss loved me and I could do whatever I wanted. Quickly got promoted to lawn mower out together guy and worked in a air conditioned tent out back. Made crappy money but it gave me something to do and I got screaming deals on 2 gun safes that got dented when I was unloading them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I find this whole thing very sad, it’s pretty obvious why he kids a pos his parents have obviously allowed it for so long it’s become his way of life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. If you don’t reload and want a ar15 I think a 450bushmaster is hard to beat. I had a 458 socom but find the bushy to be more versatile and factory ammo is becoming more and more available. I think a 300bo is anemic at best and wouldn’t be in my top 10 deer cartridges very light bullets for caliber. The various 6.5’s are intriguing but not my style. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I like mine pretty well, one of my favorite calibers! Mines stainless and shoots plenty good for killing critters. 200gn Barnes Ttsx’s over a full charge of h335 holds about 2 moa, best I’ve gotten from it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I know it’s killed a lot of deer and I’ve killed my share with a 30-30 but I have never been overly happy with the results. There are other options I pick before a 30-30 that have the same or less recoil that have killed better for me and extend the range if I need it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m having awesome results with my 358 herrett AR. 180gn sp’s at 2280fps from a 16” tube. Basically a hot 35rem in an ar platform. If I couldn’t put my AR’s on my badge and had to have them featureless I would never hunt with one, makes them too much of a pain. As it is I rarely hunt with them because they’re not enjoyable to carry. My 358 is a super lightweight build with a pencil barrel polymer lower carbon A2 stock and carbon handguards with a Leopold vx5 1-5 with 5 rounds in the clip it’s 6.1lb. It’s plenty light for all day carry’s just Not comfy but I am warming up to the idea of a serious deer rifle ar now that I have one in 35cal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. 5 or 6 years ago I was hunting near mud lake along the northville placid trail. It was colder than a bastard and a few inches of snow on the ground. Heard a very strange noise down by the lake so I made my way towards the noise come around the ridge to see 2 fellas naked having what appeared to be a grand time. I made an about face and quickly put some distance between me and them. Not exactly what I was expecting to see 4 miles from the closest road but what the hell they would have probably thought I was the crazy one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Congrats Jay! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. That’s my favorite part about it is that it’s a loophole technically it’s not a firearm. I’m sure the libs are crying about it and that makes it even better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. You earned him congrats! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I’m back on home turf just heard a gobble, trying to get around him now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I just got permission to hunt this 40acres it’s all woods surrounded by fields I have heard 3 different birds gobble but they’re all in the fields I can’t hunt. I think I’m going to sit in the middle and attempt to be patient and see if one wants to come in the woods and play. Waiting on a turkey has never been my strong suit! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. On to the next spot, jut came out of a ditch to check a field and was nose to nose with a hen. She came unglued! Haven’t heard a gobble all morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Nice windy morning, let’s hope I can find birds to hunt this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Funny you mention that because I do have one of the “tactical” lever Mossbergs but it no longer has the ridiculous stock or rails on it. But it sure is a nice handy 16” stainless 30-30. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
