  1. Oh big time! I wonder if he still gets some royalties or something. Otherwise his life style will be changing greatly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Looks like they don't own all that anymore. http://www.wildgameinnovations.com/grounded-in-integrity/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I have nothing against religion but putting logic behind religion is the exact reason why we have religious terrorism. When you think you can do what you want and your "insert fictional character here" will guide your "bullet, arrow, missile, bomb, etc" to do what you want done in my opinion you have crossed a line. Shooting at a deer and hoping Jesus guides the bullet is no difference than a terrorist setting an IED and hoping Allah kills Americans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Bone means nothing for me. My "trophy" is the scale tipping 200lbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Technically you didn't "clean up people's garbage" you buried it, big difference. My daughter is 9 and often she "cleans up her room" by piling stuff in her closet or under her bed. Yes her room looks great when she's done but she is taking the easy route instead of doing the job right, then again she is 9 and it's kind of expected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Is there a rule or law anywhere that is 100%? The bucks you're talking about are exceptions to the rule. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Grow I hate AR's probably more than you but if you can't understand how a statistic works we are both wasting our time. In my time in the field I would say that 3/4 of all yearling bucks I have saw have 5 or less points. So in areas I hunt with a 4 on a side rule roughly 3/4 of all yearling bucks would be illegal to shoot. Your mileage may be different because NY Is a big state and you could be a few hundred miles from me. All that being said I hate AR's and I still think they are a bandaid on a bullet hole idea that will quiet the yells and not fix much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Well given that the topic of the thread is "yearling protection act" and from the pictures all the bucks look to be at least 2yrs old, absolutely nothing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. There is a VHS tape somewhere at my moms house of my 2nd birthday party when dad walked out of the house with a red Ryder that he cut the stock off on and I proceeded to shoot the balloons of the mail box with. I am blessed to have been raised by a father that was one of the greatest hunters to ever live. Between knowledge, skill and the best marksman I have ever met the old man was a deer killing machine. I killed my first squirrels and wood chicks before I was in kindergarten. My first deer at an age younger then I will admit to on the Internet and my first legal deer at 8 in VT. Around town my old man was know as "buckmaster" so I guess it just came natural to be a hunter. My brother is 6 years older than me and never hunted until he was 25. He never had any interest in it at all growing up and now he's more into it than I am. It's cool hearing how everyone else got started. Great thread moog. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The turkey I shot in the Adirondacks this year was inedible. The dogs wouldn't even eat it. It sucks when it happens but sometimes there is just nothing else you can do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Although I'm not completely on board with you keep fighting the good fight! Anyone with eyes and a brain knows this state has room for improvement on deer management I don't think AR's are the way to go but something might be better than nothing. I will say if it does eventually go through and in X number of years we see improvement I will be the first to thank you for all your hard work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. fish don't want to play yet but it sure is pretty out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I heading out on lake George with my daughter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I know you're very passionate and put a ton of work into what you believe in and I respect the hell out of you for it! I live on the southern most edge of the NZ our deer have to survive 57 days of being chased by hunters with firearms on Ag land. It's probably one of the worst place in NY to be a buck yet we still see some nice bucks every year. Could it be much better absolutely! Is placing a 3-4pt per side AR going to fix it? I don't think so. Hunting pressure is still high with way too long of gun seasons any buck with just over the legal amount of points still isn't going to have a good shot at survival. My southern zone hunting camp has been 3 pts on a side for 5 or 6 years now and I have yet to see a difference. We still average 1 nice buck a year of our 600 acre lease and our neighbors still average 4-6 immature bucks a year"that they admit to." I'm not against change because I have hunted a bunch of other states and I know NY hunting leaves a lot to be desired but I don't see AR's helping it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I saw the video and found it hilarious! Anyone that feels this Video is inappropriate is a sorry excuse of a human being. CNN is a joke and hopefully won't be around much longer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'm not for or against AR's because they won't affect my hunting at all. That being said I don't feel your point holds any water. If the primary reason for AR's is conservation "keeping some bucks alive" as you say then they then I don't see how they are needed statistics show we still have bucks. For the last hundred years of a deer seasons we have been "following" the current rules and we still have bucks. With the ever declining hunting licenses sales if there is a shortage of bucks it should be fixing itself with less hunters killing them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. My daughter is more into the sub I buy her and driving the boat than the fishing. She goes with me once a week and reads on the bow or steers while we troll and then reels in Ll the fish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Looks like a good day! How many you get? Looks like the gambler rig was working! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. So today was nice out and my daughter and I had to run to town for some errands. She asked if we could take my sport bike and we settled on the Harley. As we pulled into a spot at the grocery store a guy was getting in his suv looks at me and says "that's a good way to start grocery shopping with your daughter in a wheel chair." I responded with a "pardon?" Because I couldn't believe my ears after he repeated himself I responded with "hey can I get your phone # so next time I give a f**k what you think I can give you a call." To which he climbed into his car and pulled away. I just don't understand people, who the hell says something like that? I go out of my way to keep my nose on my own face and not worry about what others are doing but this dude really pissed me off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. This makes me want to get off my duff and get a custom long bow ordered! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. I try not to be a bragger but I'm pretty sure I would be looking down with a sh!t eating grin if my obituary says "died from catching and eating too many fish!" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. When did a 12pack and a bag of weed stop being a great night? Granted I have grown up and haven't spoked pot in a lot of years but what the hell?? I'm not that old but I just can't wrap my head around the heroin and meth BS. You go to a party and some guys are smoking pot and ask you if you want to try some, they all are having a good time "sure why not." You're at a party and a dudes in the corner hunched over because it feels like his guys are getting ripped out and he's in and out of consciousness and he offers you his syringe, how in the F do say "yea you look like you're having a blast I'll try some of that!"
