  1. I agree100%, gender should have absolutely nothing to do with being able to serve in the military but there are and should always be certain jobs that only males can do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Not much of a blind guy but the 3 blinds I have out all have computer chairs with armrests in them and I have no problem shooting out of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The problem with this whole bag of worms is that the juice isn't worth the squeeze, yes I'm sure there are a couple "place label here" that would do a great job but it is simply not worth the risk of having an added burden on an already extremely taxed brain and I'm not talking about the individual I'm talking about those around them. No different than females being allowed in combat arms. Are there a very select few females that can do the job? Absolutely but the number is so few it is simply not worth adding all of the negative impact for such little gain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Until last year my go to muzzleloader was a TC Triumph that I literally wore out, not the barrel but the locking mechanism and hinge. I got the triumph when they first came out 10 years ago. I sent it back to TC when it started opening after every shot and they sent me a brand new Bone Collector as that was the current comparable gun. I have never even shot the bone collector because it fm doesn't have anywhere near the fit and finish and overall quality that the triumph had. My accura will outshoot my pro hunter day in and day out and it weighs almost 3 lbs less. I think TC makes a good product and their customer service is outstanding. When I sent my triumph in I was hoping it was just a new pin. The gun was in beyond terrible shape had had been shot an ungodly amount of times. Their customer service called me within 2 weeks of sending it to them and informed me that it was beyond repair and that they were very sorry for the inconvenience but asked if I would be ok with a new one. Hard to beat that kind of customer support. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Sitting, same as a tree stand if I can help it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I was in the Marine Corps for 8 years from 05-14 as an infantryman with 4 combat tours I'll say this. I don't care where you fall on the "l-g-b-t-q...." Spectrum if you're any sex other than male or if you don't know what sex you are, I have absolutely no problem with you serving for our country but you need not be anywhere near the front lines. The combat arms should be filled with nothing but men whom know they are men. I would say that 99% of the men I served with share my same same view. If it matters my political views are very socially liberal and very fiscally conservative. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I own one and it's the best muzzleloader I have ever owned and I have owned a pile of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I am in the woods all day very often but not sitting. If I'm sitting I'll be in an hr before legal light and usually last an hr and a half after legal light. Evening sit never more than 2 hrs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Well if you never own a product from a company who has had a recall or any other bad products you probably don't own much. I currently have 7 or 8 modern inline muzzleloaders in my closet and have owned probably 25 in he last 10 years from about every company other than the custom guys. I probably shoot my muzzleloaders more in a week than 99% of owners shoot theirs in a year. In my personal experience I put CVA's quality, function and customer support at the top of the heap. My Accura MR is by far the best muzzleloader I have owned and it's far from the most expensive. After probably 500 shots it still looks and functions like brand new. If cva had 100 barrels blow up they all could have been produced within 5 minutes of production. It's hard to hold a grudge with a company over making 5 minutes worth of bad products if they fix their problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Do you have any proof that all cva barrels are bergera? Looking online some say bergera and some don't. My accura says it on the barrel but my wolf and hunters don't. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The only time I have ever been involved with nuisance permits was on a Xmas tree farm that was friends of my wife's family. I asked if I would help and I did. The family only wanted bucks shot because it was rubbing on the trees that was costing them money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This is what I use, it's nice because you can shoot with it on. Takes up very little room in pack and is very light. I hate having a bow in my lap. Just so you don't have to have arrows with broadheads laying around I would just buy a cheap quiver to keep your arrows in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. How did the stock work? I tried one a few years ago and hated that I couldn't get any cheek weld. Yours looks like a different brand than mine I believe mine was Blackhawk. Mine wasn't an issue of the bench for sight in but when I started shooting it freehand it was awful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Good shooting! From someone that's been through multiple shoulder surgeries I feel your pain Grampy. You're already shooting better than I was a couple weeks ago. Keep up the hard work, trust me that first deer after all the worrying and wondering if you'll ever be able to do it agin is a sweet feeling for sure! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Own a wolf brother has an optima, owned a impact for about a week and had a traditions striker for a little while. Hated the impact just a terrible design. I will never own another traditions after having to deal with their customer service. Cva wolf is very tough to beat for he money. My brother loves his optima but I think it's too heavy but it does shoot very good. My main muzzleloader is a CVA accura MR and it's the best one I have owned so far. 16. Good choice on everything! Just wait until you see the hole them sliktricks put in critters! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I sure hope you're not saying that a hunter that is waiting on a mature buck isn't harder than the hunter who is waiting for the first legal deer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. You bring up a great point. Let's say farmers decide to let people hunt and the trophy " not used derogatory" hunters come in and day after day return to their truck empty handed because they are waiting on the big one. That's not doing the farmer any good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. My daughter is 9 and started on an infinite edge and now shoots the Klash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Not any kind of combine I have ever seen. Combines don't have conveyor belts and have much wider tires to support the weight they haul in the hoppers. Maybe a harvester for potato or beats? We don't have those crops in this side of the state but that would be my guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Just keep an open mind. I buy a new one every other year and have owned them all except a bowtech. Shot one 15 years ago and hated it and never looked at them again. Last year was new bow year and I ended up with a bowtech. The thing just plain shoots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. you only need the clamp. It clamps on the barrel. Thank stock looks like it has a ton of drop can you get any kind of cheekweld looking through the scope? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Unless I can't comprehend I'm pretty sure he's suggesting having the state pick who can hunt on your property? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Wasted is a broad term. Your definition of wasted is different than mine. Is wasted not being eaten by humans? Is a deer wasted if it's buried in a pile of rotten haylage and spread on a field putting nutrients back in the ground? Is it a waste of natural resources to use fish as Fertilizer? The farmer that is on his property everyday knows way more about his land and crops than the dec. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. BINGO! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
