  1. 2 lakers in the boat so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sweet gun! You will have a very hard time getting The 209 to lite with a cap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The "effective" word in your response makes this an easy answer in my opinion, XBOW! If efficiently putting meat in the freezer is your #1 draw to archery the without a doubt the Xbow is what you want. Even with the shorter season it's the best part of the season. 4. Keep my streak going by killing another mature buck this year in the ADKS. Kill an ADK buck with my longbow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Absolutely! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Looks like a good day on the water. I live 10 minutes from Saratoga lake and haven't fished it in 15 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. One of the best purchase I have made is my tenzing upland vest. It has more room than my fanny pack but not bulky and uncomfortable like every back pack I have tried. A close second would be my silent predator wool. The stuff is 5 years old have walked an ungodly amount of miles in it and it still looks and feels like the day I bought it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. slow bite but we are picking at them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Be on lake George at daylight with my daughter hope to make her arms sore cranking in the lakers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Not a step above anyone in the skill department, just bull headed perseverance and refusing to accept failure has consistently put big woods bucks on my wall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. "In a nut shell ...and shot placement...I take more pride in shot placement then the deer...I had little or nothing to do the what the deer grew into, nor the fact it came within shot range at said time and said spot...I move like they do. So it is luck, pure and simple...but my shot placements are me. Nothing can effect that but me and my judgement at the time. I have mentioned this in my deer take posts..nice deer but proud of the shot." I agree that many hunters kill deer because of luck, however for hunters who consistently kill mature bucks most often make their own luck either will skill and/or perseverance. Shot placement is also something I take great pride in. The way I hunt still hunting/tracking in the ADKS almost completely takes luck out of he question. This style of hunting is made or broke by capitalizing on opportunities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. nothing beats a sunrise on the water! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I don't know much about psychology but I know that shooting big bucks gets me excited, shooting little bucks and does doesn't. I eat every deer I kill but I don't need to kill hem for meat. I spend a lot of time in the woods and I multiple encounters with immature bucks and hopefully only one with a Mature buck so I guess that makes a mature buck more of a challenge and a challenge is what gets my rocks off. I rarely keep a fish but I fish 2 or 3 times a week and don't ever take a picture of the small ones but I do if I catch a big one. I consider that taking pride in an accomplishment. Some may call it bragging and maybe they're correct but I don't really care. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I didn't buy it but my cousin did and he carried it in his pack all year and when I shot my buck up north he wanted to try it. Man did it work great for about 4ft the 2/3 of it ripped off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. 24 lakers on the day now we pulled into the Boat house for a cold one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. 3 lakers in the boat so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Be back on Lake George at daylight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Is it cheating? I see it as a stupid, unenforceable law and although I wouldn't use one out of season but I also likely won't use mine in season. I refuse to buy minnows because I can catch hem in my back yard, is it cheating if I catch a fish on bait I trapped in my backyard because it's not certified? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. on Lake George hammering the lakers today, 19 in the boat so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I feel the exact same way Grampy, my point was that I think many just say the hell with it and use them anyway and that's why it lacks the support needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. About everyone I know that owns property and a Xbow has to hell with the law and uses them, very similar to the coyote "season." I think this is a big reason why there isn't much of a push for full inclusion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. While I was in the service I was technically no longer a resident but still got my license. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Haha, I have ricocheted my share of bullets of different parts of tractors that's for sure! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
