Quote 2 does not say that a gun antlerless season would be put in bow season. It says that a special antlerless only muzzy season will be implemented. Where does it say that season would be during bow season. It does not even imply that it would be during bow season. Did they say there would be an antlerless gun season? Yes Did they say it would be during bow season? Not before they tried the antlerless bow for 2 weeks. Then they said it might be not that is would.You might say I am splitting hairs but it was specifically stated that dec said shoot does or get guns in bow. So far I do not see where they said that. Just that ther would be a gun season.

It says that antlerless only was tried and did not work so they had to move on to phase 3 which is muzzleloader antlerless season in september. realy? what was the date oct 15 ? I didn't know this was a battle of anything. Last I knew this was a discussion. I was repeatedly told I was wrong. Pointed to facts that I was right then asked people to point to facts showing I was wrong. I was able to show statements made saying people would not hunt if the couldn't shoot bucks. Even when I was told that bucks had nothing to do with the boycott. All I ask for is prove that they are right and I am wrong. When it can not be proven I get the answer it is no use. Then I get ignored then they try to pick on me. I should except that I am wrong because someone says I am? I actually like being proven wrong. When that happens I learn something new. When I am worng and not proven as being wrong I continue to be wrong and do not learn. Is it not more narrow minded to ignore or pick on someone you say is wrong .Then to prove to to them why they are wrong. If you can not prove someone wrong just admit it don't try to get around it.

Bow hunters are the ones not shooting the doe and they are the ones who stop hunting when they are told to shoot them. I never said it was ok to do that to bow season and not to gun. I said that a if it were done to gun season it would leave very little time for hunters to fill the other tags. It leaves 6 weeks or more to fill tage if done in bow season. I also never said a bow is as effective as a gun. You keep saying that a bow is not effective for keeping deer numbers down. Insimply pointed out that other states have no problem doing it with bow being the main weapon and longest season. A fact that you seem to ignore. If otHer states can have a week or evev couple days for gun and up to 2 months for bow that means the bows do well at controlling there herd. Right?

If you take 2 weeks of gun and make it doe only you only give me 2 weeks to fill my buck tag leaving a very good chance that tag does not get filled. Leaving me with a paid for yet not filled tag. Now if that tag was an either sex tag I would fill it with a doe and be very happy. I never said I thought it was ok to take 2 weeks of bow season and put it as doe only. however with losing 2 weeks to antlerless only bow hunters still had 6 weeks or better to fill the rest of there tags. If gun seasonnwas as long as bow season I would have no problem with antalerless for 2 weeks. Like I said I would love to have my reg season tag be either or. Probably get slapped on a doe every year. On page 2 you say the majority of bow hunters gun hunt as well. Why seperate the 2 ? Why not sY there are many hunters who use bow and gun? Is it because bow hunters always seperate themselves from other hunters? Yes I use a wide brush when talking about bow hunters.That is because the majority of bow hunters fit under that brush. The one or two who do not are insigniffent. Are there gun hunters who trophy hunt? yes Not close to the number of bow hunters. Ask any gun hunter who is a trophy hunter if they hunt sith bow too an the answer will be yes. Why is trophy hunting bad? Lets go back say 30 years. Very few hunters used a bow. The main weapon for taking deer was a gun. The main reason for hunting was meat. Both by the gun and very few bow hunters. Back then bows were used as a way to put an extre deer in the freezer. As time passed more and more hunters started useing bows. We also saw a jump to hunters wanting big bucks. More guys started trophy hunting with bows and less for meat with guns. 30 years ago we didn't have such great population problems nnor did we have people omplaining about not getting nice bucks. We saw Nd killed nice bucks all the time. It was fIrly common. As trophy hunting mentality grew and the meat hunting mentality shrank we started haveing more and mor problems with our deer heard. Bottom line try hunting for meat and kill a few does and smaller bucks and we might see the heard get better.

Grow you are correct it was G-Man who brought up the buck tag and not you. I was not useing as an example of a trophy hunter . Atleast that was not intended. However your boycotting of hunting antlerless only for 2 weeks because you couldn't shoot a buck says alot about what you are after when hunting. Can you show me where it was said by the dec to bow hunters shoot more does or else we will put guns in bow season. Bow hunters did not kill more does and I have yet to see where the so called black mail has put guns into bow season. In reality the dec said we need more does killed lets try to get bow hunters to take more does because the majority of kills reported by bow hunters are bucks. They also said if that does not work we will have to try something else. They chose bow season because it is the longest and has the least amount of doe kills reported.

We know why you boycotted. You have said it many times you wanted to beable to kill a buck. Heck in this quote you say if I shot a doe with my tag they should give you a replacement buck tag to make sure you get a buck. You keep saying they will not give you the tags. You want all tags handed to you oct 1 not wait till nov 1 for 2 of them. What does it matter when they give you the tags you all showed you would not use them any ways. If they gave you all the tags for oct 1 and and said the first 2 weeks were antlerless only would you have been good with that? No because you want to kill those bucks first. take the doe after your buck if you go back out, have the time , or get the chance. Actually what they did was give bow hunters the chance to prove they were not the trophy hunters they are thought to be. Bow hunters said no thanks we want our bucks.

You said going to a spot to much cuts down on your chance of getting a buck. Thats sounds like you are concerned with killing bucks not does. You also said take 2 weeks of gun season and make that doe only. That means cur gun season. What you are not saying is that in other states the bow hunters do very well at keeping the doe in check. As I have already said it is the hunter who refuses to shoot doe with there bow that is inaffective not the weapon. Ever notice how bow hunters always say they are bow hunters that use guns as well. You think of yourselves as bow hunters useing guns not just hunters. Youbseperate yourselves from others. When I hunted with bow I also hunted with gun I called myself a hunter. Now I hunt only with gun and still say I am a hunter. I do not refer to myself as a gun hunter and I have never heard another gun only hunter say they are a gun hunter. Bow hunters make a point of saying I am a bow hunter never just a hunter. Trophy hunter stigma is silly? How many times in this and every other thread on the antlerless rule have bow hunters said they would not hunt where they could not kill a buck? How many times have they said they kill does but only in gun season because they hunt bucks in bow season? Not saying names but how many guys on here have said they do not shoot does any time they only want bucks? How many times have bow hunters said it does not matter when they shoot does and that they kill plenty during gun season? I keep reading that a bow is not an effective weapon to be taking does with. If it is not effective for taking does what makes it effective for taking bucks. If it can kill one why can it not kill the other. I also hear bow hunters saying we need a shorter gun season and longer bow season like other states do. I hear them saying that other states have a better deer heard because of shorter gun season and longer bow. If less gun and more bow mmakes a better heard that would mean that in those states a bow is effective enough to controll deer populations. Right? what am I missing? Why can a bow work well for population in control there and not in NY? didn't you say everytime you hunt an area you cut your chances of getting a mature buck? And didn't you say make 2 weeks of gun season antlerless ? That says you are worried that being out there doe hunting will hurt your chances of getting a big buck first and to make the gun huntersdo the doe hunting. Bow hunters are accused of being trophy hunters alot. The dec gave them an opertunity to pro that statement false. They responded with if I can't shoot a buck I will not hunt. wait a minute ! It is ok to take 2 weeks of gun hunting time and make it doe only but not ok to do the same thing with bow hunting? Why take the shortest season and do that. Bow season is much longer and hence more time to spare the weeks in. Mind you I would rather have all doe tags and couldn't care less about getting a buck. I hunt to fill my freezer and nothing more. I pay for the tags so I should be given plenty of opertunity to fill them. Taking 2 weeks from gun and makeing it doe only gives little time to fill my buck tag. That has been proven by the many statements of not hunting untill or unless they can kill a buck if they see it. Then when they kill there buck they are done untill gun when they kill another buck then done again. Agreed the horn hunters are the first to hold there breath and stomp there feet. All over something they could have prevented. They cry see we told you it would not work. Well it didn't work because the children just didn't hunt. They thought they were proveing a point. Well they did they proved just what the dec was saying they wont shoot doe. Now dec will be forced to try another to lower doe numbers and the bow hunters will like that way even less.

Great work. Love it. Only isue is that when i open a thread I have been fallowing I cant go straight to last page. Have to open to page one then jump to where I left off. Use to be able to select which page I wanted to start with. Not a big deal by any means just something I miss I guess. If you would stop crying about being told to do what you should be doing in the first place you might go to dec web sight. they have a updTe that says the maps are tentative and that there are changes pending that would rescind the antlerless only requirement. The 2 week doe only rule was not black mail. They just made a 2 week doe season. Black mail would be the eab whwer they tell you shoot a doe ot you can not shoot a buck. Many bow hunters would be find with that they would just throw a tag away by saying they got a doe just so they could shoot a buck instead. Many a hunter get doe tags and never plan on useing them. You get a either sex tag plus 2 doe tags in oct. then 2 more doe tags in nov. so what is the problem? Take 2 doe and a buck in oct. then you get 2 tags on nov. 1 to use in nov.nwhy do you need 4 doe tags in oct to kill a doe. If more hunters were willing to kill doe with a bow then they would have never made a 2 week doe only rule.

I injured my knee 6 months ago. Dislocated knee and broke fibula. The Dr at the time said leg was not broken, only tendon damage. I told him that it felt like bone was broken. II have a screwed up back ruptured disks and more. This Dr knew of my back problems. He said that the pain in lower leg was from my back. I told him no never had that paid till injury. He took x rays and tests said nope he was right i was wrong. I went to another Dr. the new Dr found a break in lower leg. It was broke length wise with the grain. Guess I was right and first dr was wrong. I told you all this to bring up a point. If you only look for one thing that causes a problem and that which you are looking for is known, then you will only find that known cause. Were there other things in the birds or humans system that could have caused the same or similer problem and it was not found or considered because the people doing the testing only wanted to find lead as the problem. Just as the first dr only wanted my back to be the problem. Just a thought
