Trump protest why you lost get over it .
stubby68 replied to 10point's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Society should not be raising our kids We should. Have 4 kids age 26 down to 13. Not one of them has ever thought they should be given anything. They have been taught all there life's that if you want something you work for it. I can't count the number of times the youngest has come home complaining about other kids that just get stuff handed. She absolutely hates the everyone get an award. She tells them if I didn't earn it I do not want it.She does her best at everything and if it isn't good enough she will try harder not want an award for trying. All the kids are that way. Never had a problem with them being stuck on tv, video games, or electronics. The do spend time with that stuff but not as much as they do outside doing other things. Our kids are raised to be the way they are society does not make them that way. Not as long as we teach them to not let it. -
How Early Before Sunrise Do You Get In Your Stand?
stubby68 replied to buffalojay83's topic in Bow Hunting
I get pissed at myself if I'm not in stand by 4:45. If I get up late for some reason and can not make it in stand by 5 I wait till 7:30. -
Looks like Trump is going to win!!
stubby68 replied to Lever action's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The media was as we know helping Hilary run her campaign as we all know. We all saw through there crap. Trump never ran a real campaign . He said from the beginning that he had already won. He declared victory before any real battle took place. He was right and never backed down from that . Why play there game just declare victory and watch the others hand it to you. We all won because of that. He didn't get where or is now by being dumb. -
My son - a buck is a buck he said !!

Looks like a P@Year to me. -
I have been told more then once I need more emoation. When my first son was born His mother got passed at me because I had no reaction. She has come to realize I just have no emoation when it comes to life or death
-
Don't know I just don't . I love being out in the woods hunting is just something I do. Kind of like mowingt he lawn for me just do it. I have never been emotional about it in anyway. I don't even feel anything when a family member dies. Death has always just been part of nature to me. Now I am beginning to think I am missing something about being human.
-
Agree I would also add from the shooter from shot to shot. If shooter is not holding consistent you will have problems
-
I don't think it is a choice . You do not feel guilty by choice you either do or don't . No emotion is a choice. Everyone of us have the ability to feel differently about different things. We do not chose to feel a certain way we just do. I don't think anyone has been arguing about it or trying to change anyone else's opinions about it. If anything I have said came across that way then I apologize .
-
Actually I don't feel that way. It's not a feeling it is nothing.
-
I agree with the human emotion thing. I see it in our dogs. If the kids got to a friend's for the weekend the dogs mope around looking lost. When the kids get home they go nuts with exciement. You can see the confusion and fearin a fawns eyes as it try to figure out what happened tomommy. I just have no problem with it. Yet I respect those that do.
-
I have had that happen and no didn't feel guilty. They are a food source nothing more. I have no problem with killing when I start to feel guilty about it I will put up my guns and stop hunting. I couldn't hunt if I felt bad for doing it. Not a knock at you or anyone who does feel that about it. It is a personal thing and I personally have no problem with killing. The little one will get over it. Like Culver said nobody has a problem taking a puppy from it's momma at a few weeks old.

I think it is all the way the body reacts to the hit. Some kick, some run, some drop dead, flip drop low, some just do not react at all and just walk away. Not every deer reacts to a hit the same way as others. Even with same shot place meet you can have different reactions from 2 different deer. One guy makes heart shot says deer just ran. Thought he missed. Another guy makes a heart shot says deer kicked fell to ground then got up and ran 40 yards. Two deer see shot different reactions.

How's the battery life on you cuddys. I had 2 and had to replace them every 2 weeks. They went by bye bye. I leave my cameras out all year so it was getting expensive. I now have Moultrie and stealth. I get between 4 and 5 hundred pics a week most of the time per camera. only have change batteries 2 times a year. I just got my 3 stealth 3 months ago and they have been out since day one still say full battery. I hope the cameras themselves last as long as my Moultrie. 2 of those I have out since 07 and the other 2 since 09.

The cabelas has a panel in roof that zips open for duck hunting or just letting some light in

I have a cables extreme hub blind. It is 6 X2 X2 high. lots of room Light to carry and easy to set up and get in. Also have a double chair blind and an Ameristar doghouse. Both are great.
-
I have carried one to back of bean field at 2 in the afternoon .Set it up in the field.About 40 yards from wood line facing same wood line.Only safe shot there was do to road and houses. Set in blind from 2 till little after 3 when got deer. I use pop up a lot as last minute sets in areas that I would otherwise be wide open. Never had a animal spook from them. Have they looked at them? yep. Even had a big doe walk right to it and stick her head in and look right at me. She feed arms length from blind for some time before walking off. Turkey do not even give them a second look. Some times I think the animals are looking right through them. Wouldn't surprise me if one walked right into it some time. like a person walking into a glass door

Who's Voting For Hillary ?

If that bag wins we will all be better off hiding under ground -
not any reaction. I get out my knife gut deer and start the drag. Never have gotten excited or felt anything. Not even my first deer. Hunting season is just another season like summer or fall to my. The deer are food simple as that. I have never cared how big or small the rack is it does not put a rise in me at all. Only thing that does is deer that do not get found can not stand when someone loses one. Always looked at hunting as a way to put food on the table just like our fore fathers. I do not think I could make my self excited about getting out hunting or getting or seeing any deer. It is just something I do.

No apologies needed my mistake. I thought it was a funny poke at the time. Thanks for the clarification though.

I use cams for entertainment, and the let you see what is wondering around your spots when you are not there.Nothing beats eyes in the woods though. Leave a cam in same spot long and you will see some deer have a set time they pass it and which direction they are traveling when they go through.Right now I have a nice 8 point going past a cam every am at 7:40 headed east. That will soon change though. I think if you rely on cams only for scouting, you are limiting your self and the info you get. Get in the woods boots on the ground eyes looking at everything. Best way to find out what those critters are actually doing.

Nice one Lbo

I saw a doe doing that once, similar anyways. She would run stop a second shock head crazy like then run again. Another guy shot her when she stopped for a second to shock head. Her ears looked awful left ear was full of nasty looking stuff. Called Dec to come and look at her. It was an ear infection. That will make animals act crazy at times . Could have just been full of it though. Or just a crazy female. We all know there is more then one of those out there.

Walking out one afternoon we see a doe feeding in field at 60 yards. My dad shoots deer takes of running no sign of being hit.It was an all out run across the field for about 300 yards then she stops and starts feeding. We are standing there like what just happened. all of the sudden she flips completely backwards summer Sault style and lays there dead. When we dressed he out the heart was blown up. You never know how a deer wilol react. Guy I work with was hunting his first year. Shoots 6 point. He asked me to teach how to butcher his own. I showed up at his place only wound I saw in hide was low front leg. He said deer went down and no second shot. got hide off and sure enough 1 hole lower leg no sign of anything else I looked it over csi style to find anything that could have caused instant death ,nothing but a dead deer from lower leg hit. And by lower I mean below knee

No bashing just asking and commenting.Have you looked for the first doe? Why shoot at a second doe in 5 minutes not knowing if the first one was down for good? Some times it is tuff to find one after a hit. Not a good idea to double that in 5 minutes expecially knowing that the first one was a bad high hit. Even with a gun I would not recommend shooting at 2 different deer that quick unless you know the first one is down for the count. Put in a good effort on looking for the first on you know you hit. Take a breath and get back out there. Having not had any opportunities this season you rushed your shots. It happens don't let it get in your head too much it will screw up more of your shot this season if it does. Look hard for the one you hit take a breather to nite and get at it in the am.

Nope not at all. Trump all the way. You are looking at life as black and white and it's not that simple. Have you ever gotten pulled over or heard of someone getting pulled over and then get off with a warning? How about see someone going just a little fast or jump through a last second red light. Or not make a complete stop at a stop sign ? And there be a cop there that does nothing. Over looking some things or ignoring them is not being crooked. Think about how bad things would be if everyone who steps outside the law or makes a mistake went to jail or got a ticket instead of a warning. How many times has a land owner called the cops on a trespasser and all they did was tell that person to stay of so and so land? The fact that you think these things make a person crooked makes any further conversation pointless. So I bid you adieu so this can get back to the op.
