Which part? Having the potential of two blue states? The major upstate cities would make the state go blue, unless that’s what your gunning for. Upstate NY republicans/conservatives don’t get out and vote. Hence why cuomo keeps winning.

And to piggyback off of this. Astorino is a downstate guy. Westchester county exec at the time. He already had the votes from down here that got him elected (most likely had those votes). It should have been a layup.

Already discussed this in another thread. Tread lightly because you might actually get what you wish for. Two blue states. Nobody from upstate will get out to vote for governor when the popular vote decides who wins. With that being said nothing makes me believe they will get out to vote in order to make a difference in swaying the already blue areas of the state.

I was citing 2014. The article you posted is 2018. 2014 Cuomo won by 500k. He got 2 million votes total! NYC did not carry the election by any means. Upstate dropped the ball on this one.

If they arent in your voting district/state you have no say in anything. If your vote counts towards them, then good on you for holding them accountable.

I moved to new jersey for a couple years and started hitting the salt. I prefer it any day of the week over fresh water. Although I do really like trout fishing. I spend a lot of time in florida and I love bridge fishing in the keys.

Im just putting them in plastic ziploc bags and storing them in a plastic tote. Idk what the final gameplan is but for now its fun and ill give them to my kids one day. Ive seen some nice displays that arent cheap looking. Im trying to fill sets. I filled the 88 yanks so far. Im a 49ers, yankees and knicks fan so i try to get my favorite players/years. Mattingly, montana, rice, young, ewing, etc. then ill look for rookie pieces. I got an allen iverson which is a sought after piece. I like the larry johnson hornets so i got it. I have a thing for the 90 set. I like the look of them.

Thats too funny. I have a trunk of old cards, sets and autographs. My uncle owned a sporting goods store and was heavy into collecting. Did tons of card shows across the east coast. I was fortunate enough to get paid in collectibles. I have some really valuable cards and autographs because of him.

So during covid I took up the hobby of collecting starting lineups. Im sure most of you remember them as kids, or buying them for your kids. The plastic sports figures. If you guys got any that you want to part ways with shoot me a pm.
