  1. OH, and for the record, the original post was about the money fasteddie saved by not boycotting DICKs.
  2. None right now. If you have some that would be beneficial in my area ( you are from this area if I remember right ) please post links and I will look.
  3. Like I said: "I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT! IF I HAD I WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!" If you knew, maybe you should have made a post about it so more people could have gotten involved.
  4. It's not about money so to speak. It's a reference that not everyone can just boycot everything. You missed my point. OK, let's make it more about this. When was the last Pro-A2 rally people boycotting went too? I already posted in another thread about the last one in my area, and I'm pretty ticked I didn't know about it to be involved. Boycotting stores IMO, doesn't go as far as actually being involved in protection of the 2A. Get my point now? Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  5. Happy Birthday. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  6. Should look good. Looking forward to the pics after the install. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

  8. Yeah well I make some tasty wings right here in my kitchen that would taste even better after attending a pro A2 rally. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  9. I am not boycotting so to speak, the wife was up at F&S on Black Friday and got me a couple boxes of .22LR CHI Stingers as they were hard to find at that time. They also may be my only option next spring when I buy my small boat if I can't find anything on Craigslist local. They are the only place that stocks the ones I want in my price range locally. Sorry if people get butt hurt because I don't want to drop $400+ for shipping. I don't mean this part to be mean or rude but not all of us make a lot of money or have a tree that buds money in the yard. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  10. Been having all sorts of issues with the PC connecting to this site for the last couple hours. Certificate 'Invalid/Expired', "You do not have permission to access this site.". Restarted my computer a few times to see of it changed. It didn't. All browsers are giving me errors, Opera, Chrome, IE, Firefox........... Maybe the coders got to sampling the beer we post about and like and forgot a hash tag or end command break.
  11. That worked out well for you Larry. I always enjoyed shooting air rifles. Never had one as nice as what you just bought, but loved shooting them. Congrats. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  12. Grilled chicken tacos. Made a homemade pico this morning, did a "quick pickle" with a white onion, and chopped up some lettuce. Lots of hot sauce on mine. Was a great change up from the day to day meal. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  13. I really hate using "memes" to get my point across in most situations. If I have something to say, I'm man enough to say it without silly imagery. But, a buddy sent this to me and I felt the need to share and it fit:
  14. I'm down in south Albany county, near the Green County border. I appreciate the offer, though. I appreciate it very much.
  15. Was looking at that Beavertail. Man that looks a sweet set up for being a kayak/canoe hybrid. From looking at the site it looks like the pic you posted is the Stealth 1200 Sneak boat with two seats. Boat- $800 Seats- $180 each ( so $360 ) Oars + life jackets - $200-$300 ( not from that site, just average price for good quality on those must have items ) Shipping- $320 Total = $1680 Man I like that set up, but WAY out of my price range.
  16. I usually can some hot peppers, but not this year. I get too carried away, and make way to many jars and some end up getting tossed. I might do some salsa and some salsa verde ( the salsa verde will depend on if I can get the ingredients when we buy the tomatoes for our sauce. No garden this year, so green tomatoes are hard to come by ).
  17. I used to love going to fairs. Growing up, the Fonda Fair the was closest, and we would go 2 or three times each year. Been to the Cobleskill Fair a few times, Saratoga twice, the State Fair in Syracuse once for a concert ( maybe twice, it was a concert, I was young, n'uff said ), and the Altamont Fair once. Wife keeps bugging me to go to the Big E. I don't really enjoy the rides anymore, but some of the shows are cool and the food is almost always great. The first Summer the wife and I were together, we went to the 2009 Renaissance Festival in Sterling NY. I didn't care much for that. Food was OK at best, some of the shows were good, others not so much. The only thing that made the 4 hour drive somewhat worth it to me was the busty women in period costumes showing off a ton a cleavage.
  18. Small pork tenderloin stuffed with spinach and fresh garlic, garlic-parm rice. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  19. No bread and butter. Not a fan of "sweet" pickles. Just used the cutter to make slices. Not to mention making bread and butter pickles is a two day process. Two stages. We looked for fresh horseradish, none in the area yet. Have had them and made them in a quick pickle using jar horseradish, awesome. But, making from scratch, using jar ingredients just isn't right.
  20. This is a loaded topic like the hot dog thread was. People live in different areas. For my area, just talking pizza, Trackside all the way. The Village Pizzeria is OK and is a close second, but they aren't consistent. I am not a fan of Romo's or that pizza joint in the Price Chopper Plaza, I forget the name. Would rather call Dominoes.
  21. I am no expert on smoking, but I have learned enough over that last year or so to give this bit of advice. Think about what you want to smoke, and buy a smoker that will be the best for you. I have two smokers, both are vertical water smokers, one charcoal, one's propane. You cannot beat the flavor food gets from the charcoal smoker, and the propane is a close second. I have to make some mods to the charcoal smoker, I have to drill some holes on the charcoal pan so when I 'shake' the ash actually falls away leaving good air flow to the charcoal and wood whips. Keeping a foil pan to catch the ash will help keep the smoker bottom clean. Bullet smokers are pretty much the same as a vertical smoker. "Offset" is IMO the best smoker out there. When we bought the charcoal smoker the first thing I did was try to find a place with the best advice I could. Fletch from this site gave me a link to this smoking site, but I had already been there. You don't have to join the site to learn, but you can gain more knowledge in a couple weeks on reading this site then you might learn in two years. On your own. https://www.smokingmeatforums.com
  22. I have taken the kayak off the list. I looked at videos on using them for fishing, and even hauling ultra light backpacking gear. Just not for me. The aluminum boats including johns are out as well. I do not have a pick-up, or trailer anymore so hauling them isn't in the wheel-house. My back and trying to lug one of those on top of my Cherokee? Yeah, I see busted out windows, an ambulance, and a hospital stay, LOL. I am really leaning towards the Bantam type. Stable, they come with swivel seats, wired for an electric trolling motor if I ever decide to put one on it an register it. Canoe is my fall back. Not always the most comfy, but versatile in I can use to maybe camp on an island on public land with small lakes that allow camping. I am really appreciating the feedback, it's made me look at: What are all the possible uses I would have for a small boat? Can I load it on my vehicle and unload it alone? Storage. Room for plenty of gear. Stability.
