  1. I made spicy chicken fingers. Didn't take a pic. Have leftover tomato sauce and sausage slow cooked in the crock pot ( don't have a pic of that either ), wanted to have tomorrows dinner done tonight, so I can deal with the shoveling issues for the next couple days.
  2. WTH does Buffalo have to do with it? Seriously, this makes no sense.
  3. I'm not a country music fan at all. With that said, the fiancee made me listen to this tonight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNDcAWNscg8 I kind of liked the message. ( Sorry if anyone else has posted this video. )
  4. I do not give you permission to share my comment. Do you have factual proof and pics that lead ammo from hunters is the sole reason birds of prey and scavenger birds are dying from lead poisoning? Do you personally have pics where the birds were cut open and lead fragments were found in the digestive system? Chunks of lead don't just go away. Then there is the lead poisoning by default from eating gut piles, and drinking water with lead in it. Is the water tested from where the birds feed and drink from? Funny how most surveys don't mention testing the nearby water sources. If lead ammo is such an epidemic, then why are Eagle ( lets face it, that's what this is about really Eagles ) numbers increasing where for many years seeing an eagle was a rarity.
  5. Maybe you should send sodfather a PM. He was looking for gear for a backpack hunt. This would be a good starter pack for him. Not trolling, just sayin'.
  6. No idea what that means. I will say this, the American people have enough "distractions"! We don't need distractions! We can't allow distractions! We need to focus on some very serious issues involving our nations security! I guess you don't care about that. The far left never does. It's all about "Me and my CAUSE" over whats best for the country and hunting community. You say you have knowledge and facts of things revolving around lead shot or bullets killing raptors due to eating the carcasses of dead fish and animals. Yet most of these facts are based in the western parts of the USA not NY. You have some actual facts based in a NY environment? Have you ever pulled a lead bullet or lead shot out of one of the birds you licensed to autopsy? I am not trying to be a jerk, But we have dumps near water sources, so lead will be bleeding into the water. So, a deer drinks the water from a lead contaminated source, dies, an eagle eats from the carcass and it's the fault of hunters who use lead ammo? C'mon! Grow up!
  7. So, then going by this, and your time frame of posting in "Whats For Dinner Tonight", your wife is the real grill master?
  8. With all the BS with terrorists, North Korea testing missiles and getting aggressive, people leaking data from the CIA, the flat out disregard for the law from the left and the extreme liberals enticing and advocating violence, and this is your battle? This, is EXACTLY what's wrong with the USA! Too many people choosing the wrong fight! It makes me sick to be honest!
  9. That stinks Jeremy! Hope the little one starts feeling better and the power is back on.
  10. Seriously? Really? Maybe you can get the people who install your new shed to do your deck as well or vise versa. As you like to say, "Money Is King!". Maybe you can get a discount for having both done at once and paying with cash.
  11. Having a Missippi Mud while getting dinner ready. Pretty good. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  12. A little contradictory there: If I turn down the draw weight I will still have to re-sight the bow. I have the full arrow weight of my deer hunting arrows written down, but not sure where I put it right now. Lowering the bows draw weight will effect the arrows flight and accuracy as to where it hits in it's current set up. Seriously, not trying to be a dick, but even going from pulling 55#'s to 45#'s will make the arrow move. A drop of 10#'s would make the arrow fly a good deal lower. Appreciating the feedback on this. Thank you to those who have given advice. I appreciate all the advice and feedback,
  13. I have some old WASP 4 blade 125's. I also have some carbon arrows ( that will shoot the 125's ) I need cut to my draw length. Not sure if I want to dull them up, but I will have to sight in the bow from shooting 100GR heads to 125GR heads.
  14. Thank you for the info and insight. I have a couple pop-up hub blinds. Was really looking for advice on the broahheads and where to aim.
  15. The mac&cheese was made with habanero sharp white cheddar, and sharp white cheddar. It had a slight tingle for me, and the finacee said it was just enough heat for her. She's not a fan of anything beyond slightly 'medium heat'. To answer your question though, yes I hammered on the Tabasco ( only basic hot sauce we have in the house right now ), to both the mac&cheese and the meatloaf on my plate. I also sautéed a couple of my pickled homemade jalapeños as a side for me.
  16. Meatloaf, homemade mac&cheese, and sautéed zucchini. No pic, it's meatloaf and mac&cheese.
  17. Do you have to drive down back roads with no pavement, or old logging roads to get to your hunting spots? Not arguing, just asking a simple question. Still no comment on the towing. Don't forget, when you look at people who really love the outdoors, they aren't all just hunters carrying gear in the trunk, some are campers and fishermen as well, they have campers they haul and bass fishing rigs ( not a light tow along with a trolling motor ). I wonder how many batteries one would need to haul a 16' bass rig from, say, the capitol Area to the Saranac region?
  18. How well will these electric cars be getting a hunter to and from his hunting areas in bad weather? What about towing a camp trailer or boat?
  19. Nice group. Had mine out the other day, Officially need a new target to shoot again, center is blown out. Thinking of hunting Spring Turkey with mine.
  20. I know a few on here hunt Spring turkey with a bow. I planned to do it a couple years ago, then my bow went south. Thinking about trying it this season. Just wondering a few things though. Success rate with a bow? Broadheads- the same for deer or special ones? Aim at the base of the neck or for the tiny lung area?
  21. It is political. Just the timing of the no longer active bill should give some insight to those who think it's not. Sort of like how the Safe Act was passed in a secret room at a very odd time. Someone always has to be against someone, and someone always has to be right. That's the American way and it will never end. There will always be crusaders and those who don't agree with their cause.
  22. Do the apartments come with standard amenities for hunting? Areas to process game? All the amenities to process wild game from steaks, to ground, to cased?
  23. Fried chicken, spaghetti squash, and steamed carrots. I was going to take a pic, but I forgot.
