  1. So you're OK taking a less ethical shot with a firearm than with a bow? Sometimes I swear you type to troll people and keep the argument going. I shot fingers with every compound I have owned until I bought my current bow which is way to short axle to axle to do so. I have tried and it just doesn't work on shorter bows.
  2. Heard nothing this morning hunting. Driving out to get some stuff done, there's a flock in a field with a couple toms strutting. To really give me the finger, on the way back there were 3 deer in the same field.
  3. Up, coffee's on and gears packed. Only have a couple of hours to hunt, but I'm heading out anyway. Taking the box call along with the glass pot this morning.
  4. I get the same thing @SportsmanNH gets. Error code and no link for anything. Not that I would download any video involving Brandon anyway.
  5. I was just curious. I was talking to a buddy the other day who doesn't hunt anymore but still owns a shotgun, and even he feels all these gun laws are "bleepin" stupid, and they haven't stopped any gun crimes. It's the same way the SAFE ACT didn't/doesn't stop criminals from using modern sporting rifles in crimes, it just made those of us who follow the stupid laws have to mutilate our rifles and spend a bunch of extra money making them what dipshits feel is OK with their standards.
  6. So, are you saying that a 22LR is just as powerful as a .50 BMG or a 22-250 is just as powerful as a .300 Winchester Mag.?
  7. Yes. Get out and run a few shells to pattern the gun and make any adjustments to any scopes/adjustable sights. If you're not using an adjustable sight, you'll still know where your shot is hitting, so you can adjust aim. Aim at the neck about 1/2 way up. But, you're going to get some replies stating that only 3 & 1/2" TSS will do.
  8. That wasn't an insult. It was a suggestion for a spider to find a nice, warm place to lay a few eggs.
  9. I'm not 100% for full inclusion, but I'm all for passing it just so we can move along to "sharing opinions" on other topics of things we can't control.
  10. Must have struck a nerve there. Trust me, I ain't bitching, I'm stating a fact that this is a freaking thread about crossbows and some people felt the need to interject bullshit that has absolutely nothing to do with that. If you can't understand that that crap is a top factor in why this place is loosing members faster than a fat kid eating french fries, you might be part of the problem. So here's a thought, when you see a thread that clearly about hunting, maybe pass it right on by if you feel the urge to have to interject opinions about other things that have ZERO to do with the topic Have a great day, may a camel spider crawl up your backside and lay an egg or two.
  11. Outdoor Limited if I have to order ammo, their shipping is pretty reasonable compared to most other places. Buds would be next, and I believe they have an option to make payments.
  12. What the hell do abortions, or who's paying for them, have to do with a crossbow bill? Some should pay attention to the decline of this forum due to a few people who can't help themselves from bringing this crap into a hunting related topic. I think it's just time to pass full inclusion of crossbows and be done with it, so we can move onto the next topic of panty twisting debates. Ya know, like when the leaves are allowed to change and fall.
  13. It will be a long time before you can do this, but the wood will make beautiful knife scales and gun stocks.
  14. No, sorry. I'm selling this to put towards some Hornady .223.
  15. I have 5 boxes of Wolf .223 55GR FMJ steel case ammo I'm looking to sell. 100 rounds total. Asking what I paid, $60. Local pickup in either Ravena or Glenmont. PM if interested.
  16. I've yet to read or hear about any official release of the bird flu in wild turkey here in NYS. I read of an outbreak on LI where it was found in seagulls and in a backyard flock of chickens in NYC. So, as I said three times now, no, this isn't a concern to me.
  17. My wife's I could, but not mine. Well, unless I keep the hatch open and let my feet hang out. It's not really a concern, but I'm worried about it as much as the bird flu in wild turkeys. Now, sleeping bags on the other hand.................. Or which shotgun to take.......... Ammo, have to worry about that......... Socks.... Food, oh man, now that's a big one- freeze-dried, canned, fresh............... Do I want to take the fishing gear............ Where to dig the cathole........... What TP to bring....... What knives to take........
