Love it! If you think this is political you stop being a Democrat.

It's been reframed into the lead ammo agenda. Who is Jennifer?

Was just curious. I have seen those pics before. People are proud of the mounts, if the pic is off who cares? Not everyone on here is a photographer. We leave that to wooly. He knows what he's doing. It's the memory of that hunt and having the mount just etches that memory in even more. Not being argumentative with you Bowguy 1, hope you don't take it that way.

6 weeks would be fine. The NZ - SZ rules, let them be. No solid reason to change that. If they do, then I want the seasons LI gets across the board! I want a January season for gun, vert bow, crossbow, along with ML. If we are going to make the whole state have the same seasons then LI should be included in the entire state too. No guns during the rut..... You have got to be kidding! So prime time is for the bow hunters and gun hunters get the leftovers? Nope, don't agree with this.

Couple more that I thought were funny.

Nice kills Twax10. Does anyone eat the meat or just use the furs?

Did you kill those deer Bowguy 1?

$70 on the helmet, $50 on the air rifle.

They rarely make a sound. I think maybe three times in the 4 years they been there I heard the adults. The worst was last year trying to get my hunting clothes on in the dark and one sounded off a few feet behind me. Made me jump. I hear the basic chicken roosters more then I hear the Peacocks. I used to have some pics of the adults, a couple with the males in full fan. Between changing phones I don't have them anymore. Going up in June to help build the the new coop so I will get some then. The big thing is they will peck at their own reflection. So a shiny car might get chipped up. LOL. They don't realize it's not another bird and they get aggressive. Awesome to watch them.

No not to eat. They just run around and actually stay close to their house. They are pets.

Buddies dad has a few and they had babies a couple years ago. He wanted to see if he could get them to make more this year. Looks like it's working out.

I haven't even seen one. Yet on the way home I see them in the fields a mile away. My g/f keeps telling me where she sees them too. For the last week I keep telling her "I don't want to hear it if you see turkeys or deer! I just don't!". She just chuckles at me.

I didn't even make it out. Back was killing me so I stayed home. I did switch out the ammo from my pack last night, but not for luck. The Remmies have just about the same pattern out to 35 yds from my shotgun. I am not hunting the weekends. That's the time when we go to look at perspective new places to live. Been on two state lands in different areas. The only thing that has even kept me going out is that I am not alone in not hearing or seeing birds. Driving past a golf course this morning I saw at least 5, one all puffed out. the g/f seems them in fields on her way home from work. Private land. Might just knock on some doors and ask about removing a few chucks over the Summer in exchange for hunting permission.

Gonna see if maybe swapping out my ammo might bring some luck. Leaving the Rio's home and taking basic Remington Express Long Range 2&3/4" #6's. Probably won't help but have to try something new.

First three wheeler was a Yamaha 125, then a Suzuki 125 because it had that little pull lever for reverse. Then a Yamaha Moto 200 trike. All were a lot of fun. The very first lesson I learned on a three wheeler was "Look ma, no hands!" was't much fun. I am not sure if you can still get them registered, but the one thing you can add to help with 'foot slip' are metal foot peg guards that don't allow the foot to slip all the way off.

Congrats on a good bird.

They still are not a militia! The only thing "militia" related to this thread was those fat dudes that probably couldn't protect a starbucks from a group of kids throwing eggs. Or the people walking the streets with weapons. There's a huge difference between being militia oriented and flat out nut bags. I just don't get why it's so hard to see the difference. It goes without saying that in a democracy everyone is entitled to his or her own opinions. The trouble starts when people think they are also entitled to their own facts.

If this was already mentioned in here I apologize. It's a documentary on EPIX. Anyone here watch it? What was your thoughts?

The average hunter will never get to hunt exotic species in Africa. To be realistic, the average hunter from NY will never even get to hunt a Mule deer right here in the continental US. If you have the money to hunt exotics, good for you. My problem is we have enough going on right here on our own soil with anti hunters and more that I just really don't care about hunting in other countries and what it means to them. I do understand that some countries depend on the revenue from hunting to keep it going. But, now, I have to add a political aspect. Those same places couldn't give a rats backside about the USA and only see us as a sugar momma. Some will take your money and take you on a hunt whether that hunts legal or not. Which brings me to my next point... Cecil is dead, let it go! No manner of talking about what was wrong with that hunt will bring that lion back! It's over! It's done! Move on! I am so sick of hearing about Africa. How do we get the turkey populations up right here in NY? Why are they so quiet this season? How do we deal with the AR's the DEC is forcing? How do we fight the "Safe Act"? Sorry, I have more to try and worry about then poachers or hunters in other countries. I am trying to get the BS of my own state right first.
