    The "Coumo Act" reads like a map to The Lost Arc. Are they going by the same rules on the mags for the "Sport Rifle"? If so then the limit is 10. You said you killed a couple deer using the .40 . May I ask the range?

    Turkey season might be over, but there's always something to do in the outdoors. Camping, fishing, hiking, boating... I didn't kill a bird, and it was a tough season, not just for a novice like me either. But, it's gone and now it's time to fish and camp.

    Ya know. I though 10mm. But around me the price for ammo is steeper then the .40 or .45ACP. Not sure why.

    Thanks turkeyfeathers. Starting to think of going for my permit. Most likely would be S&W and M&P format in either .40 or .45ACP. Both under 8" and 10+1. I am not trying to hijack the thread, but, if you don't ask you don't ask questions you you don't gain knowledge. Would a 9mm be a solid round for deer? For some reason I would rather go with the calibers I posted above.

    Bowguy 1, I was like you for a while. Then I pulled the lump of coal out of my backside. There are very good people here, and many have a ton of knowledge that has been shared.     We need to remember and thank the fallen who gave life for this country. Give a prayer to all of them. We also need to think of and thank the people who fought and are still with us. We need to thank those fighting right now for the bravery they are putting forth as well.

    OMG! First we have our winters are too cold for foreigners. Now, the government is dividing hunters. Where do people come up with this stuff? Hunters divide hunters! Do you really think the DEC or the government has backroom meetings just to make the hunting community divided? LOL! Man, now I do need a beer.

    Sorry, forgot to take the pic and post of the g/f's target the other night. Here it is. She reminded me that in fact she only shot 15 rounds. She also pointed out that shots in the red square are three shots not 2. So that's 10 in the black. LOL

    I tried. I had one with my dinner and that's it. It was just to heavy. Just came inside from sitting on the lawn and going to try a Bud. Lighter and a little more crisp.

    That's what I thought. I been looking up "Golden Rattler" and found nothing to state they are an actual species. Oh, and just for a giggle, the massasauga is also known as the "pygmy" rattler. LOL.

    Too dang hot to be cooking or grilling! I had a roast beef sandwich with, lettuce, tomato, horseradish cheese, topped off with spicy ranch dressing. Jalapeño chips and an ice cold beer on the side.

    Too hot for beer. Though I did buy a 6'er of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, so I may have to force myself to choke down one or 2.

I never heard of the golden until reading this. I thought we have the timber, the copperhead, and the massasauga. That would be three, add in the golden and that makes four.
