  1. In and ready. Sitting a different blind thus morning. A warm 30* right now. Good luck today everyone.
  2. The NZ early bow season is a lot shorter then the SZ. It's usually around three weeks until the early ML season, then the regular season starts up there the Saturday after the early ML season ends. Generally the ML season starts near the middle of the month and the regular season around the 20th, or a couple days later. The early ML season starts the first Saturday after Columbus Day. So next year it will start in the 15th of October. https://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/10002.html I can't remember that being different for at least a few decades.
  3. Sorry, the realtor said the woods went a bit past the shed. I guess I got turned around.
  4. An Ontario Rat 1. I'll be house hunting and then some volunteer work with the wife. If not for looking at the house seeing my wife wasn't going to hunt, it would have been the Axis in 25-06.
  5. Good, this is a message that hopefully the courts will start doing what's right and not what's popular.
  6. What's wrong with you? First I didn't back peddle on anything. I have been busting nuts and being sarcastic in this thread ( and a bunch of threads like it ) for a while now, like mentioning I'd buy new gear if it got to this X amount or pages, back 500 pages ago. You're clearly looking to "debate" as that's the new term for argue, and I'm not. Also your veiled attempt at insulting me calling me a moderate is flat out lame. Let it go man. Go look up banana ads or something if you need a stress release. Good day to you.
  7. MSRP? Moogs Superbly Radical Present?
  8. Debate over for me. Wife booked an appointment to see a house at 8:30AM, and I have to help her with some volunteer work at 11.
  9. Hey ya know what? It might be on the skinny side, but it's almost three feet long. At least it thicker then an arrow shaft.
  10. I got the booster yesterday, and the first two back in April. As for why? Because I saw no valid reason not to get them and I feel it's my choice and that's all there is to it. I don't feel I need to rationalize or explain anything I do to anyone, it's my life and that's that.
  11. Um, condoms for putting over the barrel of my ML. I thought I grabbed the non lubed kind but, I did not. So they were useless and those things aren't cheap. Upon unloading my hunting pack from the week at the cabin my wife noticed them. She got a good laugh and is still cracking jokes on that.
  12. I order take out. You should see the look on their faces when they can't find my blind, it's priceless.
  13. You really don't understand sarcasm or dark humor do you?
  14. I was thinking the same thing but, you beat me to posting it.
  15. If I turn into Venom or Carnage you'll be the first to know.
  16. Looked at a place last night, two acres mostly wooded except maybe 1/2 acre where the buildings were. I would sure as heck have hunted the land.
  17. Not for nothing, but if there's bans for bad words, maybe this emoticon needs to be removed:
  18. Went and got the Pfizer booster this afternoon. Had nothing to do with politics, or being a left wing nut job or a right wing boob. It was just to irritate all the anti-vaxxers in this thread.
  19. I was a bit excited about that house, a couple acres of land- not a ton but enough I could have set up a few stands. Seeing those deer got me a lot more excited. Then we saw the place. Two buildings need to come down on the property, the house needed a lot of work, and the rooms were tiny. Our current bathroom in a trailer is bigger then what the dining area was in that house. So we'll keep looking. I haven't been seeing deer at all this season by me so far really. One area I used to always see eyes on the drive out and then deer in fields on the way home. Nothing on that farm this season so far. The area around the corner used to always have deer in the small field in the evening, a ton of trails with fresh tracks and rubs, and scat all over the place. Nothing fresh for this season. I haven't been out there hunting as much as last year with the bow as I mentioned in a different thread, but not seeing anything to get me excited about being out isn't helping with my feeling blah about the bow season this year. The bow has been hung up for this year. The late seasons I'll just use the ML.
  20. I saw 9 deer in the middle of a field, and another 5 in the middle of another field a mile up the road. All in Averill Park. Got me stoked for the house we went up there to look at. To bad the house was way to small.
  21. Saturday will be my 3rd "Opening Day" this season. The bow opener down here, regular season up north and Saturday regular season down here, I have no clue yet. If my wife wants to hunt we'll be up north so the opener down here will be the same as the past few years, and we'll be in the ADK's and not worrying about the SZ. If she doesn't plan to hunt or changes her mind, or gets sick, or something, I'm still not sure. I may head north solo and sit a new blind I set up a couple weeks back over looking the lower end of a swampy area for the first few hours then still hunt until I have to head back home. If I head out down here, probably sit an area I have left alone during the bow season, not that it matters seeing it's public land down here. About the only thing I haven't sat this season was open hardwoods or actually over looking any fields, so well, I just don't know. I'm not even sure what I feel like toting Saturday yet, no matter where I go or where I sit/walk/poop or look at ads for bananas.
  22. I wonder if searching for rutting bucks or does in heat would lead to that sort of an ad?
