Seriously? Have you read what you typed? Or do you ever? You constantly tell people what they should think and feel. You try to mask it, but anyone with a little reading comprehension can see it. If they don't do things just so and how the far right deems things to be, they are wrong. Funny thing is, that's exactly how the left does things too, and you seem to dislike being told what to do or think. Freedom of the mind should be just that, left to let people make a choice and not be slammed for it. So, you come to a hunting forum to talk about politics and not brag about hunting? It's a hunting forum where people talk about hunting, it's not bragging when you are here to discuss hunting. You just stated that you enjoy arguing with people- . Removing the political area will probably help this place more then hurt it. Long time members might come back who were here for the hunting talk, not the political mud slide that this forum has turned into. There are a million places to talk about politics, and "debate" them, so there's no need for it here. There's a lot of forums that keep to the topic of what they are about and they do just fine without the politics. On another note, removing the political section isn't a breach of the damn constitutional rights, it's not trying to "silence" anyone, it's keeping the goal of the forum on point. If people can't respect the rules and continue to post political topics if that section is removed then it just shows a lack of respect for the other members here and the staff.

Simple fix, if you don't like a certain season then don't hunt that season. If you don't like the late ML season then stay home. Why so many people feel the need to make our season like other states baffles me. If you like those other states so much then pack up and move there, or just hunt those states. Then you don't have to worry about hunting here at all. Or, if you don't enjoy hunting with a certain type of implement then just don't use it. The late seasons are also for archery, so go get a re-curve or long bow if you feel you need a challenge. All this "I don't like this or that so lets take this and that away from people who enjoy it!" sucks! If you want to use an old flint lock what's stopping you? YOU are the only thing stopping you.

To the original topic, I still feel the riders need to let this go,It's not enough days lost to make this much of a fuss over. Then there's what was mentioned in another thread about this very same topic, it should be the DEC making the seasons, not local towns or counties.

So bow hunters get 4 months and firearms hunters get a total of 17 days? Yeah, that sounds fair for everyone. How about the gun guys get from 10/15 until 12/24 with a muzzle loader only season from 12/25 until 1/31, and the bow hunters get from August 1st through the gun opener and with full crossbow inclusion for the whole bow season?

I would if people would keep the political BS points of view out of the other areas. But, they don't so why should I stay on topic? You're right though, I'm done with all this whining and crying about vaccines. I've run out of funds to keep sending people tissues.

I guess this makes sense, sort of. It's just always confused me with some of the trails. I know in the ADK's there are designated trails that run through public land and the riders get a little irritated of they see you hunting those trails, even tough they are open to everyone. I suppose I can see the point more on paying to ride private trails. I'm looking forward to the later season, and hoping the counties I'll be hunting don't block it. After a week or so of all that Christmas crap, it will be nice to go hunting for something bigger then a squirrel.

You do realize there are a lot more people out there hunting then the members on here right? Yes, there are some people who still hunt to put food on the table, and in some cases they have too. Those type of people probably don't have internet as they probably can't afford it, so they aren't on web forums worrying about rack size. To them the only rack that counts are of the brestesus kind.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with trophy hunting @Grouse. I asked a very legitimate question, why bother getting a DMP if you're only after a big buck. If you have no plans to use the DMP then let it go for someone else who might actually need it and more DMP's may be available in areas that never have leftovers.

Have you met button buck wolc? LOL If everyone is only hunting for the antlers then why do so many bother to get DMP's? There are many who still have to hunt to put food on the table, they could use those DMP's more then someone just out for a big buck.
