  1. Do you read the things you type? You have posted on here more then once, anyone who doesn't follow your way of thinking should be beaten, or at a few times you hinted that they should be dead. Over the past year and a half that seems to be how a lot of people on this forum feel. Like I've said before, both sides are ignorant and only want everything one way or now way. So if my only choice is to either follow extreme leftist's or extreme righty's like you and some others, I'm moving to Scotland. Or some other country. Maybe I'll buy an island and declare my own country. You say everyone should have a choice but- then you say that choice should be to follow those like you and take up arms against the government and get them selves killed. This isn't fear from me when I state things like this. The mentality of the far right is "If you don't do this or that just my way you're scared.", which is BS, those with fear try to get followers so in the end they can hide behind them, those with out fear walk their own road and usually alone.
  2. I get your point. Just not seeing what the fuss is all about from most people. To me it's just a lot of people seething to find something to complain about. I used to think it was just being New Yorkers we all have attitudes, the past couple years it just seems like people need to cry about something, anything no matter how menial or inconsequential. People need to toss out the lace panties and get some man pants.
  3. So by 2035 NYS will be nothing more then a hipster go green tree hugger state. Most of it's that way now except the electric transportation.
  4. I still have two areas to get into and touch up some brush blinds. The bow is good to go, clothes will be washed and treated this weekend, and I have a supply of Picaridin. But to answer, no I'm not 100% ready yet.
  5. Is the other option people like you making my choices for me? If that's the only other option I'm moving to Scotland.
  6. I'm still waiting for them to come up with a vaccine to cure all the vaccine topics around the world. I think it's time to put in a call to the CDC!
  7. Deer don't see the blaze orange the way we do. They make blaze orange hats and vests with a branch pattern on them to break up the outline. I wonder if anyone knows this little tidbit? I'm not aiming this at you personally Belo, I'm just pointing out a fact that maybe some people forget.
  8. FTR, by crash I meant the prices might get close to what happened back around 2012. I don't feel like looking it up, but wasn't the drop out over 50% when it bottomed out back then? I have a feeling we might see something similar in the next few years. Maybe not that drastic, but possibly in the ball park.
  9. This thread needs to be shut down! At this rate it's going to surpass the beer thread and create an inter forum uprising.
  10. Well, there's a lot of people who piss and moan about ATV's being loud and scaring the game away. So if they go electric I guess those people will have to find something else to cry about. There won't be anymore gas pumps either, so I guess there won't be any moaning about seeing a hunter pump gas in his hunting clothing. So it sounds like this might stop the shortage of Kleenex.
  11. If there's firearms involved I always have and always will wear blaze orange on any public land. Hat and a vest. The past few years I started hunted the NZ with a bow for the week of the early ML season there's something orange hanging in a tree near by, usually my vest, and the hat was on so I could be seen while walking in and out of the woods. This year seeing I'll be using a ML I'll at minimum have an orange hat on if I'm sitting, and the vest will be on at all times if I'm walking around. In the SZ you'd have to be a little nuts not to wear orange hunting on public land. My hunting pack is camo, and I might just buy an orange one, I've seen a few that have a place to keep your back tag attached on the ones that don't have and webbing or outer zippers. Just something I'm rolling around for the SZ. The private land I hunt in the NZ I don't wear orange nor does my wife. I don't plan to start now unless the land owner tells me I have too, though I very highly doubt he will. I also don't wear my tag on my back up in the NZ because I don't legally have too.
  12. We just started dipping our feet into buying a house with a little land. The market is way up. I actually think in a year or so there may be a another crash of sorts. When all those dipsticks from downstate that bought up all the houses and land in a fever pitch to run away from the pandemic realize living in the sticks isn't what they thought it would be start selling at losses. Hold out for a while and see what happens. There's a lot of places to look, Zillow seems to have more properties then Realtor. As Daveboone mentioned, just driving around will find more properties because a lot of people just sell themselves to save on paying realtor fees.
  13. Congrats to everyone who filled a doe tag in the early season.
  14. No, they are a bonded lead core surrounded by copper.
  15. I know this other place that likes to talk hunting and the outdoors in general. I hear the staff there doesn't much tolerate a bunch of bickering. I tried to bring some comic relief to this and a few other threads, but when folks can't see past their nose it's hard for them to get humor.
  16. So you're having a vaginal flare up? Ah, I get how that works now.
  17. Sorry I'm a bit late, I hope you and your family get past this quickly and don't end up with any lasting issues.
  18. I can 100% say I've never had a vaginal flare up. I have a feeling most of the guys on this site have never experienced that either. Boxer briefs in a twist? Yep. Ticked off? You betcha. But I have never needed a Midal or had an inflamed labia.
  19. Been using that method for a lot of years. I don't own a bore sighter and I have put a lot of scopes on myself. I just did this with the CVA I bought. One of these days I'll invest in a laser bore sighter. Or maybe not, I'm old and I don't think I'm going to live for ever, so there's that.
  20. I know. I got a good laugh at the post you made.
  21. Wait! I've been shooting my bow a lot lately, and I don't have vaginal flare ups. If this is some new age gadget to make me a better hunter I don't want one, and won't be buying one no matter how good the advertising is on them. I'm just fine with my twigs and berries.
  22. I also offer a little more insight on what @mowin suggested if you down own a bore sighter. It's old fashioned bore sighting and can be done with any break action or bolt action firearm that you can see all the way down the barrel with the scope lined up. Get a sheet of paper and mark a dot ( bulls eye ) about 1-2" big in the center. Tape it on a wall, fence post, door, w/e where you have about 10-20yards. Secure the gun so it can't move with the dot in the middle of the barrel. Adjust the scope so the cross hairs line up with the dot. This isn't as accurate as an actual bore sighter but, you should be on paper at 50 yards and then you can dial it in. This saves a lot of headache and bullets ( in this case powder, primers, and cleaning the gun after every few shots ). Once your dialed in at 50 yards, get it dialed in at what ever distance you plan to be shooting.
  23. Build a brush blind. You can make those as elaborate as you like. You could even build a tiny cabin like brush blind with a wood stove for heat.
