  1. Homemade pizza and wings. Wife made her Keto pizza crust, I'm having traditional crust. I backed off a bit on the heat for my sauce, just some Franks XTra Hot, smoked paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, and a touch of habanero powder.
  2. As I said, the offer was much appreciated. Fire with a lemon and a twist tie..... Hmm......... That could get tricky. Twist tie for a twig bundle is doable. I guess make the fire then make a glass of lemonade?.
  3. Hunting? I have seen packs of 6-8 years ago out in the Summit Jefferson area. Always the morning sit and running a ridge. It wasn't uncommon for actual packs to be seen in that area back then. I have not hunted that area in probably 30 years now. Where I live now, I actually hear a couple packs hunting at night from time to time. I hear them together, but never the same location. I have seen a pack of 4-5 right at dusk a couple times right down the road from me in a field behind a produce stand.
  4. That's someones pet. Or used to be. It will make a great mount if you like a Sheppard mix in the trophy room.
  5. I very sincerely appreciate the offer guys. I very humbly must decline. I have zero exp. with a ML. While I get it's not rocket science, I could never live with myself if something happened to your fire arms. Gunking up the powder or falling and breaking the weapon are what I have to consider. Please understand, I really do appreciate the offers, I could never live with myself if something happened to your ML. My buddies father has two he has offered to allow my wife and I to use on his land. He doesn't hunt anymore, so I am thinking about asking him if he would sell me one. I'm sure he would allow me to make a few payments and then bring it home once I paid him in full for it. If not, it's a deal breaker for me. I'll still hunt, and now that I have a slight grasp on a couple areas, I won't be crawling through thickets next year ( I hope ).
  6. Yes, October. 19th - the 25th. There I posted the dates. Make fun of me all you like.
  7. Just got notification! Cabin was available, and we just put the deposit down. Tough hunting as I am only up there for these trips. Already looking forward to this trip.
  8. I can't speak from personal experience, but two of my neighbors installed cheap systems over the Summer. We had a few days where with the wind chill is was below -4*, I think the worst was about -20*. Their camera's are still working fine.
  9. Just put in the reservation request to see if the same cabin is available this year. I hope it works out, and we get it. Last year, a few days after we left, that Halloween storm hit and tore up a lot of the back roads and a few of the main roads. Not to mention the woods. I really want to get a ML for this trip, but, I doubt I can afford it. No matter, I"ll still hit the woods with the bow.
  10. My condolences on your loss.
  11. Congrats on the new .410. If it was me? I'll take the Browning, Weatherby, and AR15 on the wall in the first pic, and the Ithica Deer Slayer in the second pic.
  12. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Biz.
  13. I only asked about the scales because I was thinking with just a metal handle, it might get a little slippery once it has blood on it. I was not in any way try being a jerk. That style of blade is very universal. If kept sharp enough you could fillet a fish with it. It should serve you well.
  14. Not 100% correct. The Bills 2nd string QB Frank Reich did that. He bailed the Bills out of a lot of corners, and he took the Bills through and won many Playoff games. Proving he was as good as Kelly, maybe they should have let him start a SB, we might at least have one win. Then the expansion for Carolina came in. They took a good chunk of the Bills Roster as 'ordered' by the big wigs in the NFL. Carolina never gave time for Reich to get used to the environment and how they wanted to play. One goof and he was benched. Enough about yesterday......... I say SF by 8. No, that's not a bet, it's a "Prediction".
  15. Good stuff in that article. Nice to see folks in other countries teaching their kids this stuff instead of just tossing electronic gadgets at them and sitting in the recliner.
  16. Not hunting, at least nothing planned as of now. Just primitive camping trip early Summer. Hike back in, get off the trail and make camp. DEC site mentions the actual site near CCC Road and Cheese Hill Road, but, as I just mentioned, I'm looking more at off grid style camp. Thank you for some intel, it's very much appreciated. Yes, as long as there's no fire ban in effect.
  17. Are you going to put scales on it or just leave the handle as it is? Looks like it will get the job done.
  18. Thank you for the reply Dave. Much appreciated. I'll get some time in over there and look around a bit.
  19. Just looking for some intel from anyone who has been there. I want to try and get a camping trip in over there. I will get some boots on the ground time in, just curious of it's worth it or not. Cole hill just won't cut it, to many roads dissecting that area, and trails that run almost through home owners back yards. So, looking at a different place. Are there open areas to make camp or is it real think all over the place?
  20. Sorry for the loss of a loved one fasteddie.
  21. I have no idea what I just watched. There was some wonky *** BS in that game! Once again, Buffalo penalties cost them a game. No discipline on that 'O'Line. Now I shift to the Saints for the NFC and Ravens all the way baybey in the AFC!
  22. Wife made homemade chili. So I did a nacho plate watching the Bills game.
