  1. This is OK. A little too 'juicy' for my taste, but still enjoyable.
  2. This is the default date for those who don't put in an actual date. I had my actual birthday set, but too many creepy as f*** people making trolling accounts, so I set it back except the year. I figured setting the date to the 1800's and being over 150 years old would have tipped people off. LOL. I guess not. I'm just gonna roll with this being my birthday. LOL Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I'm home sick while the wife's at the final X-Mas GTG for the year. I'll go pop a top on a beer as a thank you.
  3. Looks good. Tip I learned years ago camping making "hobo meals" before said meals became cool, that I carried over into home cooking. Now, when I bake sausage at home I use a glass baking dish, cover with foil and only allow enough heat to get out to prevent poaching. The next day the sausage isn't dry after reheating.
  4. Things like this are why really support Constitutional Carry Law for hand guns, and no hoops for CC. Pass your NICS and go. This guy pulled out a shotgun, not a small hand gun, which has been the norm for a long time. Shotguns, AR's, and other long guns have been used to commit crap like this. This has been said a million times my people, guns don't kill people, no matter how "scary" they look, f*** stains with guns kill people. Those FS's will get a gun no matter what! If they can't get it legally, they will buy it from the trunk of a car or back of a van in a back alley, or some dirt bags basement. Once these idiots get it set to commit this type of crime, no laws will stop them from following through. This country needs less gun control in my opinion, especially in a few states, like NYS. In this word today, we need to be able to protect our family, friends, and community from this BS. You can't take on a gun toting criminal with an IPad.
  5. Well, someone had to pick up the slack of papist being gone as well as stormy and all of his personalities. Didn't think it would this members "alternate personality" though.
  6. Happy Birthday. May the wonders of a pink bunny suit fill your heart.
  7. Yep, so for once my family wasn't FOS. LOL. Only been out that way a few times over the past 5 years, but that traffic circle on the 29-30 Junction is a nightmare. Glad you had a good experience. Also, thank you for making me think about some good times from yesteryear buying a gun or two.
  8. If memory serves me right, the new place used to be an ice cream parlor? Jordans?
  9. I'm curious to know how the new shop looks. Old place was sort of small. Never mind, looks more up to date. Thanks for the pic grampy.
  10. Been there many times. Never had a bad experience. Always friendly, and willing to help out. I'm not sure if Frank is still kicking, but I'd bet his kids are the same mannerisms. I never thought the prices were all that high when comparing to the other gun shops in that area. Adirondack Sport Center ( formerly Dimezzas ( spelling ? ) was a joke. Those prices were high. I think you'll have a good experience with them Dave.
  11. Happy Birthday the carving king of this here forum.
  12. Sorry to hear this. Condolences.
  13. Nothing wrong with the pics. It's just the way trapping goes. Looks like you also have the den located, nice. One less fawn/poult killer in NYS.
  14. @wolc123 , Please tell me you wrapped it around some carrots, onions, and potatoes! Also, that you left the "oysters" out of the meal.
  15. My only disappointment was my wife only getting out a few times with me due to an uptick in work. I have mentioned before she will only hunt the private land in the lower ADK's, no public land. This was the only year we never saw a deer up there. Always at least see a few does on those hunts. She said she just enjoyed being out there, so it wasn't too bitter of a pill. I took a different approach this past season. I put no pressure on myself like I tend to do ( I am hard on myself when it comes to deer hunting, I may not always admit that, but I am ). I got more days in the woods then normal, and passed on deer because I was not comfortable with the shot, small bucks, or fawns. I even let a few pass just because I felt like it. I got some hunting in on West Canada Lake Wilderness, Siamese Ponds, as well as my usual areas. I didn't fall on my face hunting a frozen over swamp like I did last two seasons ago. I just got out there and hunted with no expectations other then I was deer hunting. So over all, I may not have killed a deer, but I taught myself a lot, learned a little about myself, corrected a few mistakes I was making, and took it one hunt at a time. I feel I had my best season yet since getting back into hunting.
  16. I had to make a correction, I apologize. I meant 4T and 4K. I hit the wrong number key on the key pad.
  17. Hmmm.... Many... Hunted from areas out near Summit NY up to the middle Adirondacks, and plenty in the middle of that. So here's my list as accurate as memory serves and looking at maps right now. 5H, 5J, 6R, 4A, 4F, 4G, 4H, 4B, 4J. Crap. I forgot I have hunted Schodack Island, which is 4K and 4T.
  18. Thank you Cynthia, and Merry Christmas to you and yours. Merry Christmas to all the folks on this forum. I just hope none of you crazy f'ers get a ticket for shooting Rudolf.
  19. That's a great looking mount, and good on @518BowSlayer for doing a great job at a great price.
