Well I picked up a new machine it was time to say good bye to the 01 Rancher still running & still don't think you can ever beat a Honda motor but the 350cc was not cutting it did ok for the years I owned it but was looking for more power I found this 2008 Kawasaki Brute Force 650 SRA. V Twin motor had 1200 miles, 2500# Warn winch, moose winter heating package (grips, thumb throttle & 2 Aux ports) brand new cycle country poly plow for $2500. I couldn't pass that deal up added a 20" Philips 12600lm light bar & went 2" higher & wider on the tires. She has already been put to work mowing, pulling trees, food plotting, setting stands & of course having some fun trail riding

I haven't been on for awhile Things have been so busy at work & at home with personal issues. I was not sure I would even get out to hunt this year but have decided it is the one thing that will help me forget about "life" for a bit so I am at least getting my NH license still not sure I will make the trip out to NY this year. I did a mentoring class with the state of NH & the NWTF in which we have about 30 students I will be taking 3 out for the spring gobbler season. I hope everyone is doing well & hope to be back to huntingNY more regularly soon

Yes I was wondering how far apart the clusters are these can change yearly depending on the food source this is not an etched in stone rule that it is a staging area but clusters are usually used in this manner like I said earlier it could also be another buck coming into the area & could be a sign of aggression or like DBhunter stated just to say Hi
-
don't know if it is normal or not but I would say it would depend on where the bucks are coming from? I might have missed it but how far away are they from each other? I heard that too but most everything I have read talks about food sources & that is usually where I see them too
-
That is exactly what I am talking about that may be more than one deer it is a staging area to the fields couple write ups on cluster rubs http://www.cabelas.com/category/Deer-Nation-Article-Cluster-Rubs-and-Stage-Areas/567454680.uts Clusters of buck rubs are most likely to occur in habitats close to areas with abundant seasonal food, such as wooded cover near corn or alfalfa fields, oak habitat in years when acorns are abundant and areas adjacent to forest openings or near artificial feeders and food plots. Such rubbing strategy makes good sense, of course, because other deer will probably concentrate near such choice feeding sites, making a buck's signposting most effective.
-
Cluster rubs I always thought are kind of a staging area. find them usually in sight of a food source or it is an area that a buck spends some time OR they are from more then one buck showing aggression

Sorry For your loss I was a Giants fan for most of my life when I moved to NH in 1987 I became a fan of the Patriots & the Giants until Eli became there QB there is something about him I can not stand didn't get to watch the game but honestly I thought the Giants were going to put the smackdown on the Pats
